  1. Well, that's just [censored] great, another [censored] leak. Who else does she leak info to? This place exists for fans to discuss our team and everyone should be encouraged to participate but I've looked back at her posts and they are negative towards the club. I question her motivation and the reasons for her actions. I'd like to know who she hates at the club to put her posts into perspective
  2. Pack mentality because I pointed out the the poster had created four posts and all of them were very negative about the club? Go [censored] yourself
  3. Really, someone who created a profile in August with just 4 posts to their name and all four posts have been extremely negative to the MFC. My spidery senses are tingling! I'll belive it when I see it
  4. Another injury? What's wrong with him now?
  5. In the first half of last season he really struggled, but as has already been pointed out his 1% were still quite good. At all times he worked and ran hard, especially when we didn't have the ball. He looked like a kid who was trying too hard, and my opinion is that he really struggled with the pressures of the captaincy. It was almost like he ran so hard to get the ball that when he did get it he was exhasuted to do anything decent with it, his disposal and goal kicking was ordinary. He also tried too hard with the physical stuff, trying to be the enforcer. After the wins against Essendon and GWS though I think he looked much better, a lot more composed and less stressed and looked like he was running better. His disposal quality was much better and he was linking up really well when we actually moved the ball with purpose down the ground. The captaincy issue didn't seem to effect him as much. It was a hard year for him, not only did he have to worry about his own development but he had to take on the issues of trying to lead a poor team. There were many factors effecting his performance but I firmly believe that he'll be a much better player for going through it all. I'm expecting a big improvement in 2013.
  6. Didn't he say to the club that he wanted to go to Adelaide because he couldn't commit to football with everything going on in his life? How quickly it changes.
  7. Towards the end of the sessions the rucks got together and were practicing on their techniques with the new ruck rule. Bascially working on starting physical contact once the ball was in the air and I think an umpire may have been instructing them? Spencer was very vocal and working really hard to get it right, I like how he tries to really hurt his opposition, he just needs to get his disposal better. Another comment was just how well the backline is working together, they generally stuck together in the sessions I saw, the whole time encouraging and pushing each other to do better. As we improve in the middle I think our backline will become quite difficult to score against.
  8. I take it you were the gent sitting in the shade with the nice camera?
  9. Well, considering he said that he was unable to commit to Football right now that's hardly surprising. Very sad situation all round, but I'm not sure how I'll feel if he does join Port after what he said to us.
  10. Wait, what? How did the MFC ruin Miller? He was given about 2 years too many and did sweet FA at Richmond. A one dimensional forward who couldn't kick goals. Jesus, talk about rewriting history, Miller was given every opportunity to succeed.
  11. Snoop Dog's write up http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/snoop-dogs-2012-mock-national-draft.980620/ # 66 Hawthorn Dean Kent Perth 180cm / 81kg / ‘94 WA midfielder who have only seen a little of but would have to be one of the better WA mids going around. What I have seen suggests he is little like Luke Parker at same age albeit probably spends not as much time in middle. Strong bodied HF / midfielder who excels at getting his hands on the ball at the stoppages, get away quickly from the contest and seems to put to good advantage. Also has the ability to get his hands on the ball often having averaged 20+ possessions at Colts level. Has a weapon insomuch has a raking left foot but he isn’t 180cm plus and I think that might hurt him a bit as well as the fact he didnt get a National DC invite which suggests to me the jury is still out on him but he fits the bill. Would they redraft Schneider or Osborne here?
  12. From Nightmare on BF http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/knightmares-2012-mock-draft.956129/ #82 Port Adelaide (Via Adelaide) – Dean Kent (WA – Fwd/Mid) Height: 180cm, Weight: 81kg, DOB: 24/02/1994 Recruited from: Perth Style: Player comparison: Alex Fasolo Range: 30-rookie Profile: Very unlucky not to make the WA state squad. Powerful inside ball and is a big time clearance player who shines at stoppages. Inside work is just so effective and can be a serious difference maker with some of his inside work. Kent is a big time accumulator and getting is better as the season goes. Kicking ability very good and has some penetration and hurt factor but is very kick happy. Seems to have some selfishness in his play but that in no way takes away from the quality of his play.
  13. Well, all really good responses, looks like it's the Redlegs!
  14. The FD should be happy, especially with the first half of the season, feel sorry for the marketing and financial team though.
  15. My eldest is now old enough to go and appreciate games so I've decided to purchase some reserve seating for next season instead just the standard memberships. My favourite place to watch the game is on the first balcony on the wing but the Legends tickets are out of my range at the moment so I'm tossing up between the 'Demon Seats Undercover' and the 'Redlegs' option, currently favouring the latter. My query to those currently in the Redlegs, what's it like? My daughter will be 6 next year, is it an ok environment for a little kid? Also, I think the Redleg seats are on the first balcony as well, in the pocket at the Punt Road end, from memory they're pretty good seats as well, what do you guys think?
  16. How could Adelaide have entered into this agreement? They agreed to secretly pay him an extra $200k but they had enough room in their cap to do it legally!!!!!
  17. He hated playing at VFL level and he was never happy living in Melbourne
  18. Just had a quick read of that article and one line really stood out to me... “How many Facebook friends does he have, Burls? 1400? He likes to be liked,” he says. That reminds me so much of that part in Moneyball when Brad Pitt's character is discussing how to replace some great players who just left the club and one of his recruiters made a negative comment about a potential recruit because he had an ugly girlfriend.
  19. Yes, Nathan Basset, I was his player sponsor for that year. He was very unhappy in Melbourne and wanted to go home, there was nothing we could do to keep him.
  20. ah nuts!
  21. Does Jack have a younger brother? You know where I'm headed with this...
  22. In no particular order: Danny Hughes Sean White Matty Whelan Marcus Seecamp (tried to chat up my girlfriend (now wife) at a function - woohoo!) Nathan Brown - my player sponsor, ripping bloke, one of the best
  23. One of: - Toumpas - Wines - Macrae - O'Rouke - Mayes Really, all I want is a 200 game midfielder, that's not too much to ask for, is it? In reality I haven't seen these kids enough to say whether I want one over another, but I hope they take a kid who has a heap of passion for the game and can play at a really high intensity
  24. Best On Ground ordinary? Don't worry, I'm only joking...
  25. I'm undecided on Gysberts just yet, however I'd like to see how he goes in the next pre-season, I'd like to see him working his butt off to get a spot in the team.
