Meanwhile, Marley Williams' victim remains hospitalized and the assault barely warrants a footnote to someone else's main story.

Could someone please frame the odds on which of the following will happen first:- result of tanking enquiry announced opening game of 2013 NAB Cup appointment of Casey Scorpions coach.

Does anyone know the name of the former Melbourne player, now with another AFL club, who allegedly went to an alleged gangster's funeral?
-
After that very comprehensive report I have but one very important question. Can you tell the difference between the Age reporter and her pet dog?

Funny.

Here's one from the bright side who won't allow us to wither on the vine -

Either that or our footy dept is being run by some of the schoolkids on bigfooty!

Clinton Young did the tour of the Westpac centre yesterday & is set to go to the Pies. Don't know how they'll fit him in their cap though.

Article is well written and sounds very plausible and reasonable. If this guy walked into the offices of the Australian tomorrow and applied for a sportswriting gig, that Denham fellow would be out of a job in a trice. Good luck to Riv. He's been a good servant and deserves success. With us, he might find himself on the outer as we employ a youth policy.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRIS DAWES
Chelly replied to Norm Smith's Curse's topic in Melbourne Demons
Here's an idea. Why not get a bit of weight onto Jack Watts' body and try him in a key forward position. I seem to recall him being drafted four years ago to fill that role. -
I believe that part of the deal finalised today for Hogan and Barry was that Jack Viney must cease and desist from any attempt at tackling, body slams or other violent attacks on the little mongrel until the end of the 2014 season.

Replay on ABC1 on Thursday at 2.30am. Worth watching to see a grand old flag for the red and the blue.

Perhaps if people have issues with our club and it's recruiting, this might get you excited about what Carlton's planning for the rest of the FA/trade/draft period:-

Full Time and it's a Redleg flag 12.7.79 to 3.12.30. West Adelaide kicked a couple of goals late to save some face but it was a triumph for Norwood. James Aish with 23 disposals at age 17 is going to be something special.
-
Three Quarter time and it's Norwood 9.5.59 to West Adelaide 1.6.12.
-
Halfway through the third quarter and it's looking great for the red and the blue. Norwood 8.5.53 to West Adelaide 1.4.10
-
Three goal lead to Norwood at half time 4.4.28 to 1.4.10. The Redlegs defence is really tough to crack.
-
Norwood 1.1.7 to Westies 0.3.3 at quarter time.
-
Probably gone but let's not forget that he missed about half the season with injury. Incredible to think that he was going to go through the season without kicking a goal.

The Redlegs reserves lost another close grand final at AAMI by 7 points to Central Districts. Sam Colqhoun of the Bulldogs was impressive and is well worth a look as possibly a second rounder. Now for the big one.

I have an idea. Why not go direct to his boss Rupert Murdoch who was once the # 1 ticket holder at the Melbourne Football Club. I reckon Rupert and the Murdoch clan would be all over journalistic ethics these days.
