  1. Goody looks like a kid that got a new bike for Xmas in that photo. love it.
  2. The bloke standing next to him with the microphone is a dead ringer for Dom Tyson. Is this a different spying tactic?
  3. Melkshams 55m bullet pass to Gus in the game v doggies, Gus to Hogan - goal. Magical. But Melkshams pass was just breathtaking.
  4. Nev’s mark against Liam Ryan in the H&A game against WCE. Kentys goal that got us into the finals same game The whole game against Adelaide in the Alice
  5. He barracks for Collingwood Jane, I'm sure he's got a suitcase full of regrets to choose from.
  6. Call in sick. We used to take our family holidays in the September school holidays. No holidays anymore. They’ll get over it eventually.
  7. They might change the logo in the future, but the version in place when we win our next flag will never date (imv).
  8. Which - the Essendon jumper, the amart logo or the Essendon jumper with the amart logo on it. It’s pretty hard to fix a crappy jumper with a small image in the corner.
  9. Gees the two Sydney teams must have tough draws to not even have the Giants in the top 12 and Sydney 11th.
  10. The AFL are still trying to work out how to give us a 6 day break to the next game despite the fact it takes 9 months travel time
  11. We played them twice in 2016 as well, only about 47K turned up to the round 4 game. I won't be expecting a bumper crowd to our home game with them.
  12. We don't do too badly compared to them Jim We've got 2 blockbuster games, 9 night games as well (Wed (1), Thurs (1), Fri (3), Sat (4)); we play 7 interstate games to their 5 (our 2 NT games the difference), we both play the eagles and tigers twice.
  13. Disappointed the QB and Anzac eve games are both away. It would have been good to alternate 1 as a home game each yr.
  14. The good: We've got 9 night games (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat = good for exposure), one trip to Perth. The bad: We've got a four day break before the Anzac eve game, and the worst draw of the top 6 teams last year for playing the top 6 teams twice. The below list shows the ladder positions last year for the teams the top 6 play twice. We have the worst of the lot, playing 4 of the top 6 teams twice. How the Swans get to play Carlton twice is beyond me. Tigers (1) 3,5,7,10,18 Eagles (2) 3,4,5,12,14 Pies (3) 1, 2, 5, 11, 13 Hawks (4) 2,7, 8, 9, 15 Dees (5) 1,2,3,6,16 Swans (6) 5,7,8,11,18
  15. I've always thought Angus Brayshaw looks like Brian Dixon And Clarry looks like Bluey Truscott. Honourable mention to Jordie McKenzie.
  16. Given the somewhat recent shift in contracted players demanding a trade to their club of choice, I'd be interested in understanding how the club determines whether contracted/required players are comfortable at the club or quietly/actively looking elsewhere. It seems to me the Beams trade was flagged late and caught Brisbane unaware - how do we ensure we minimise the risk of being blindsided and negotiate best value for players wanting to leave.
  17. Melbourne AFL app reporting we have a game in Darwin Sat night v Adelaide Jul 1 (the week before QB) and a game in Alice v WC Eagles R18 (Jul21). Hopefully this means we’re not playing them in Perth as well (sorry Ethan and Steve, selfish I know).
  18. Further evidence he was going backwards, even his number is now backwards
  19. Gees Adam, that's a committee you're sending up to the dias on GF day to lift the cup.
  20. I was standing next to Wheels in [censored] Smiths at Chadstone in my Melbourne polo shirt on a weekend in about 2004, looking at him thinking “I’m sure I know this guy” - worked it out 10 seconds after he left. i was hungover to be fair. just noticed the censor - I’ll refer to the store as Richard Smiths
  21. Peter Moore finished playing 30 years ago. Why did he get a gig on the banner?
  22. If the last position vacant is deemed closest to the exit lounge (as Hogan proved) then I vote for JKH
  23. I think Melbourne have looked after Jesse admirably. I think Jesse respected that honourably. He will be missed. He was my boy's favourite player. But for the sake of his wellbeing, I hope he finds balance in his life home in Perth and a happy career at Freo. I'll still cheer for you when you next front up at the G to receive a bath from the 2019 premiers. All the best.
  24. Simon Goodwin needs to write a book, so I can learn first hand from the master. What an effing legend. BTW - welcome to the club Mr May. You've carried yourself beautifully through this period and I can't wait to see you contribute to what will be the meanest defence in the league coupled with the highest scoring forward line. I'm changing my username to Big Kev. I'm excited.
