POST MATCH DISCUSSION: Melbourne vs Richmond - JLT 01
In Harmes Way replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I blame myself (MFCSS). The score was 52 - 22 our way when I turned it on. 10 mins later, scores were level. -
Obviously he’s given that some thought
-
Both Cordner and Stynes won a Brownlow as s ruck. As much as I love Max, not sure he’s the starting ruck.
-
Checker Hughes worth consideration
-
Surprised Cale Morton didn't get the nod.

Plough: 3 Issues Dees Need to Overcome

On inconsistency - didn't we win something like 22 quarters in a row mid last year? Sure we had some off days. No team wins 22 H&A games in a year. We were 1 win off top 4, 2 wins of finishing second. We're maturing, and even with a tougher draw this year I'd expect us to be more consistent this year. -
Nailed it except for Footscray.

Two points- It’s hard enough to get good sponsors, we should look after them esp. on higher profile games secondly, as an employer, I notice casual Friday extends beyond the dress sense to attitude. I’d like to think the players mindset focusses on game day starting from getting dressed.

I’m surprised he’s not still waiting there Hillary

Luci’s a chap-ette Saty, FYI only. What you’ve shared is awful, I hope they gave him a decent clip on the way to the car park.

Couldn't watch that only once...

If it isn't 1987, then it's 186 And Roosy's last game.

Great thread. I go to the games with my 13 yo boy, and over the years really get a kick out of his reactions when we get up. My top three on this basis: 1. 2018 Geelong final - Mitch strolling past us into the forward pocket to ice the game. Huge noise from the crowd (I teared up when I saw my boy's reaction). 2. QB 2017 - similarly, Jack Watts strolling past us into the forward pocket to ice the game. Huge noise behind us from the Punt Rd end (I'll never forget that one). 3. Me and my boy went to Gold Coast for a boy's weekend in 2016, we kicked 16 goals in the second half even though it was close at half time. I can't remember us ever kicking 16 goals in a half. Great weekend away.

Wonderful news and two great looking kids. Love the red and blue beanies and booties.

The first goal of the game that Aleisha Newey kicked (video of the week) - she is like grease lightning. Electric to watch.

Another three years of kicks like this one....absolute gold. -
All you can ask for really. Better than 4-6 weeks!

Nothing like taking the roof of your mouth off with volcanic hot baked beans in a jaffle in the middle of winter. He might be onto a winner here.

I think Viney needs to get a solid season out on the park before you'd give him the nod as a sole captain. Missed a fair chunk of last year.

I was having a chat with Nathan Brown last week, he made a couple of points on interrupted pre-seasons. 1. Under the Reverend, where we made finals every second year, this was somewhat due to late surgeries + recoveries as a result of making finals. In the odd years when we didn't make finals, we had much fuller pre-seasons and rebounded. 2. The end to end professionalism around this is a lot better now than back then
