WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Herald Sun has written as part of his performance rating that MFC should reconsider their long term, big money offer.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
If you reckon he went missing today, you should have seen his last two games. He was outstanding today compared to the last two games in which his team happened to play very well. He is just a low possession, role player that gets more games than he should because heās tall. Having said heās tall, he canāt take a contested overhead mark to save himself. No wonder no other Club is currently chasing him.
-
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
I guess we now understand why NO other Club is chasing him.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
His first half confirms he is a very ordinary player and GWS football management wonāt spend a minute trying to retain him because theyāll be happy to free up his salary. The golden rule should be that if their Club doesnāt fight to retain them, walk away.

Youāve got no idea if you think ANB is on Base Payments.

Farewell Sam Frost
This is what some of us have been banging on about for years. Our List Management & TPP is a farce. How lucrative it has been to be a good ordinary B or C Grader at the Dees over the years. Also hasnāt helped overpaying so much for a bloody 3rd tall defender with ACL history.

Re-Signings 2019
The Wagner brothers. FCS, our List Management is a farce.

Billy Stretch
Tomlinson is clearly two Grades better than Stretch, however, I want to state that I donāt rate Tomlinson, who in my opinion is one Grade below Pederson. 4 years at $2 million for Tomlinson is a terrible list management decision. But, it is the Demons after all.
-
Billy Stretch
Perfectly describes Tomlinson and weāre apparently offering him 4 years at 1.6 to 2 million.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Ray, I have looked closely at Tomlinson recently and in my opinion, pace is not one of his assets. I think he can run all day, however, he is a real plodder.
-
Jamie Elliott
Hardly massive when Tomlinson is a C+ player at best and is going to take 4 years at decent money out of TPP. Agree with Lyon, save the Tomlinson money and try to land an A Grader. FCS Dees, at least have a crack at a genuine A Grader.

Iāve watched 5 decades of failure!
And there are idiots on this site that actually believe we have good salary cap & list management. If you want an example of outstanding salary cap (TPP) management, take a look at Richmond. Weād be lucky to have 2 A Graders whereas Tigers would have about 10.

Farewell Sam Frost
Fact still remains that Howe butchered the ball several times a game at Dees, however, butchers it twice a season at the Pies. Is it far superior coaching & development at the Pies? Iām sure it is.

Farewell Sam Frost
You really have no idea. You canāt deny there were plenty of Demonland Posters wanting Howe out of the Club. My point was that Collingwood & Howe has made them look absolutely stupid. I would back Clarko to do something similar with Frost.
-
Farewell Sam Frost
Or, just like Collingwood has with Jeremy Howe, his next Club will improve his weakness and play to his strength. Jeremy Howe was an absolute liability with ball in hand at the Dees, so much so that so many on this site wanted him gone. Well, where are those geniuses now given he has been an absolute star at the Pies. One of the first picked in a constant top of the ladder team. Pies immediately improved his kicking & decision making and heās been a bona fide A Grader for them. Watch Hawks do exactly the same with Frost.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Well, I do know for an absolute fact that we did not submit any offers for Dustin, Kelly, DeGoey & Coniglio. The only player from all that list that we spoke to his manager about was Kelly. As I reported a year or so back, All Clubs were told that Kelly was only interested in considering 3 clubs. GWS, Carlton & Kangas. He re-signed with GWS.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
They might, however, on balance they have already a better one in Tarrant. Great player, great bloke, great clubman. Plays every week, no fuss. My point is that I used the Kangas to demonstrate a club that has really managed their TPP far better than what I believe the Dees have. Theyāve owned us for 10 years but have had a real crack at the superstars of our game and came within a bees [censored] of landing Dustin Martin.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Rubbish. Kangas shot for the stars and they missed going for the absolute best in the industry. My point was, despite massively outperforming MFC for the last 10 years, they had the Salary Cap to have a real crack at Kelly, De Goey & Martin. MFC couldnāt. FCS, donāt crow about recruiting a 3rd tall defender that had knee reconstruction history on enormous money and over paid with draft picks. Plus a fat, unfit May who we once again were the ONLY club in the picture because we had the very low Pick 6 and we were willing to pay him Hoganās money which was far more than anyone else was willing to do. Bottom line Kangas have recruited Higgins, Polec, Pittard over recent years, all players with pace and dash that walk into the Dees.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Great post Jim. We are one of the worst 2/3 performing Clubs over the last 5 years. Weāve also traded one of our very best players recently. I canāt believe we havenāt been right up to our necks in bids for Kelly, Martin, De Goey, Coniglio etc as have the Kangas. Kangas have outperformed us for 9 out of last 10 years but they have had a war chest which we clearly havenāt because we must grossly overpay our players.

Farewell Sam Frost
The well known Frost haters have climbed out from under their rock with this news. They had gone to ground over the last 20 weeks based on Frostyās performances which will see him B & F top 5 whilst highly paid others have been a total flop. One thing that must be realised is that the greatest footy club with the greatest coach in the history of the game are courting him. Also hear the Roos are also. Not sure Iād be coming out from under my rock.

List changes who do we cut, trade or go after.
Unbelievably sad, but true.

Brad Hill
I fully understand that but you can either overpay D, C & B Graders or you can pay them what they deserve and bring in better players. I strongly believe Dees have done too much of the former I suspect Nathan Jones is one classic example of many. Been a B Grader (based on my D, C, B & A rating system) but has been paid much more over the years than A Graders at Hawks, Cats & Tigers due to this AFL 95% rule.

Brad Hill
Our Total Player Payments is what Iād like to be thoroughly reviewed. Based on our ladder performance over the recent past, we are clearly overpaying a great many players when weāre clearly so tight weāre never in the discussion for a Kelly, Coniglio, Hill, Cameron etc. There would be players at Hawthorn, Geelong, Richmond that have performed so much better than many Demons over recent years and being paid far less. For example, I reckon Ricky Henderson from Hawks would be runner up to Max Gawn in our B & F this year, however, I reckon Demons would have 15 to 20 being paid more than him. AFL will eventually follow USA and publish salaries, canāt happen soon enough for me.
-
Sam Frost - Contract status
I certainly hope youāre correct as Iām in the āwe overpaid for a 3rd tall defenderā camp.

Thanks Jeffy
Insipid at the end at definitely time to go. To suggest another Club would even consider a lifeline is an absolute joke!!
