Skuit, you gained my respect by your efforts and investigation skills, so what are your thoughts on 4 years for DanHan and having to give a Pick circa 12 - 18? And the coin is serious.

I appreciate he’s coming off no pre season with groin issues but his recent form and in particular his stats tonight indicate as I suggested a player now in decline. I seriously hope I’m wrong but my mail is that Dees have tabled an extremely generous 4 year offer which only requires the Dees to come up with the Pick that satisfies the Swans for this to happen. Swans are desperate for the Salary Cap relief plus need 1st Round Picks for Darcy Moore & McGovern.

I remember another Poster who has Murray Bushranger connections slammed that assessment at the time. Hawks seem to have got that one spot on in their assessment. SFebey I can’t divulge who it is quite yet, but if you are like me you are going to be massively underwhelmed when I can tell you the midfielder with whom we have an “in principle” agreement with for 4 years on pretty big coin. His Club are aware and are comfortable with him moving on as they will need the Draft Pick in the range of 15 to work into a couple of Trades that they are aggressively pursuing. As much as I’d love to get the feedback, I just can’t give you the name yet.

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned but Roos said on The Couch last night that whilst he hasn’t watched Casey he’s surprised that Frost & Garlett in the side. In fact, he said that he thought a Frost would’ve been the first person to have replaced Lever as it would have allowed other players in defence like Hibberd to play their natural game. ‘Anyway, what would Roos know, he put a line totally through Lynden Dunn about 3 years too soon and and he still thinks Picks 2 & 20 for Tyson & Salem is a good deal.

Tyson must be on the table and possibly with someone / something else to try and get us a Pick in the Top 25. Let’s say Gold Coast lose both Lynch & May, well we might be able to bundle Tyson & Frost or Keilty for their 2nd rounder which would be about Pick 20/21.

I hope Weideman is not going to be our Aaron Fiora. Imagine if we’d called Charlie Curnow’s name instead.

You have got to be kidding. There have been so many of us pushing up for Frost or Keilty over Petty. I would have even tried Weed at CHB before Petty if I could get him the right opponent to try and get Weed a different look at it. So many of us have been saying Petty looks like a Player but, 20 to 30 games at Casey away.

I think you’ll find that people were correctly saying you couldn’t play Vince & Lewis in the same 22 and as Vince had certainly been the least effective, he had to go.

Well Nasher, we’re struggling to find one GREAT coach that didn’t Coach angry. I know it’s a different era albeit Clarkson in this era is the angriest and arguably the greatest of all time, SO IS GOODWIN TOO BLOODY NICE?

Here are a few GREAT Coaches that certainly Coach/ed angry. Clarko, Barassi, Pagan, Malthouse, Kennedy Those that didn’t eg Hafey & Matthews didn’t have to as they had unbelievable teams.

Spot on Martin. Selection has been and continues to be ONE of this Football Dept's greatest knock. I wrote in an earlier Post that I believe poor Selection has cost us 3 games this year. Geelong - Maynard & Wagner Port - Tyson & T Smith Saints - Petty & Tyson.

It was actually Josh Kelly & Pick 20 for Tyson & Salem.

Selection = Some pace please I'm not saying we have much in this area but FCS time to roll the dice on anyone with a bit of toe. Time for Baker, Stretch and last roll for Garlett.

I wasn't actually criticising the Recruiting, I was actually criticising the obsessive SELECTION of Goodwin & MacCartney with slow, inside, contested possession winners. Guess what, the whole footy world knows that when you continually play Melbourne just get it outside the contest and watch how well Tyson, Brayshaw, Viney, Jones, Vince, Lewis, etc etc chase after it. Why on earth they Selected Tyson the last 2 games and not brought in a Crumber, or someone with a bit of outside toe, eg, Spargo, Stretch or even Garlett is beyond belief. Let me explain it even clearer for you. What is the single Club and Opposition Player that is going to get Jack Viney up for a contest? Hopefully, you worked that one out. Yes, it is Port Power and Ollie Wines. And what do you know, JV nearly BOG but the Selectors bring in Tyson instead of backing JV in to do the job and strengthening the team with a Crumber like Spargo or Garlett in a night game where there is going to be plenty of Crumbs. On my reckoning, we lost the Geelong game at Selection through playing Maynard & Wagner. We lost the Port Power game at Selection, read above. And what do you think today about the Selection of Petty & Tyson over Frost/Keilty & Spargo/Garlett/Stretch? A mate of mine who played a couple of hundred Ammo games and gets to training & Casey games told me a couple of weeks ago that Petty will be a nice player but thought he was a skinny, under developed 18 year old that understandably should be debuting sometime in 2019. Told me that both Frost & Keilty would play before Petty. On today's evidence, Petty debuted too soon. Anyway, I hope you read Posts a little more carefully and really understand them before you fire off the keyboard barbs.

No point in recruiting outside pace when Goodwin & MacCartney are so obsessed with slow, inside contested possession winners. Clearly, Goodwin doesn’t watch many Richmond games.
