  1. Well Jonathon Brown showed that footage amongst several others on On The Couch as another example of Jesse Hogan being terribly out of position.
  2. The title of this thread is quite possibly the most inaccurate & inappropriate in all my time at Demonland. It has gone on for far too long and is quite frankly demeaning to the Demonland brand. Please close it down.
  3. With the greatest of respect to you and Matthew Lloyd, WattsJurrahDunn and I have been posting this for two years. The media are now only writing about this as well as now discovering what a terrible decision to give Picks 2 & 20 for Tyson, 9 and 57. I heard Terry Wallace rubbishing that deal on SEN yesterday. Well, hello Terry.
  4. Skuit, you gained my respect by your efforts and investigation skills, so what are your thoughts on 4 years for DanHan and having to give a Pick circa 12 - 18? And the coin is serious.
  5. John, Viney will never and can never be an outside mid.
  6. I appreciate he’s coming off no pre season with groin issues but his recent form and in particular his stats tonight indicate as I suggested a player now in decline. I seriously hope I’m wrong but my mail is that Dees have tabled an extremely generous 4 year offer which only requires the Dees to come up with the Pick that satisfies the Swans for this to happen. Swans are desperate for the Salary Cap relief plus need 1st Round Picks for Darcy Moore & McGovern.
  7. G’day Skuit. I missed the first half of this Swans/Cats game as I was at training. I was wondering how DanHan is going mate.
  8. Great work Skuit. However, off the top of my head I recall one where I Posted that my Hawks recruiting mate told me the day after that Draft they had James Sicily ranked about 20 or 30 places higher than they got him at. I remember another Poster who has Murray Bushranger connections slammed that assessment at the time. Hawks seem to have got that one spot on in their assessment. Anyway, I am very confident that this is accurate and will pass on when I can
  9. Look I don’t want to jerk anyone around, as you can see by my number of Posts, I don’t Post often or that regularly compared to most. When I can give you the name I will because I’ll be terribly interested if the opinions are similar to mine in that this player is now in a downward curve having been a very good player and just what we’d need if he were at his best circa 2014.
  10. It is not Sloane.
  11. Mate, he was under our nose at Casey. Isn’t he a Beaconsfield boy? FCS, even the Dees couldn’t stuff that one up.
  12. SFebey I can’t divulge who it is quite yet, but if you are like me you are going to be massively underwhelmed when I can tell you the midfielder with whom we have an “in principle” agreement with for 4 years on pretty big coin. His Club are aware and are comfortable with him moving on as they will need the Draft Pick in the range of 15 to work into a couple of Trades that they are aggressively pursuing. As much as I’d love to get the feedback, I just can’t give you the name yet.
  13. Ok Demons11, we now know that you're not very bright. But at least you're a not so bright Melbourne supporter so we'll forgive you. Let me spell it out for you to save you having to go back and slowly read my post again. I wasn't actually criticising the Recruiting, I was actually criticising the obsessive SELECTION of Goodwin & MacCartney with slow, inside, contested possession winners. Guess what, the whole footy world knows that when you continually play Melbourne just get it outside the contest and watch how well Tyson, Brayshaw, Viney, Jones, Vince, Lewis, etc etc chase after it. Why on earth they Selected Tyson the last 2 games and not brought in a Crumber, or someone with a bit of outside toe, eg, Spargo, Stretch or even Garlett is beyond belief. Let me explain it even clearer for you. What is the single Club and Opposition Player that is going to get Jack Viney up for a contest? Hopefully, you worked that one out. Yes, it is Port Power and Ollie Wines. And what do you know, JV nearly BOG but the Selectors bring in Tyson instead of backing JV in to do the job and strengthening the team with a Crumber like Spargo or Garlett in a night game where there is going to be plenty of Crumbs. On my reckoning, we lost the Geelong game at Selection through playing Maynard & Wagner. We lost the Port Power game at Selection, read above. And what do you think today about the Selection of Petty & Tyson over Frost/Keilty & Spargo/Garlett/Stretch? A mate of mine who played a couple of hundred Ammo games and gets to training & Casey games told me a couple of weeks ago that Petty will be a nice player but thought he was a skinny, under developed 18 year old that understandably should be debuting sometime in 2019. Told me that both Frost & Keilty would play before Petty. On today's evidence, Petty debuted too soon. Anyway, I hope you read Posts a little more carefully and really understand them before you fire off the keyboard barbs.
  14. No point in recruiting outside pace when Goodwin & MacCartney are so obsessed with slow, inside contested possession winners. Clearly, Goodwin doesn’t watch many Richmond games.
  15. A nice player and worth a Pick 10 - 15 and 4 years at $600k. I'd be developing Joel Smith and using early picks on outside mids who can seriously run & kick.
  16. Absolutely correct Diamond Jim. Lever was ok, in a side which dominated. Not in their best 15 players.
  17. Ridiculous comment, you won't find one football person outside of the MFC family claiming that Melbourne won this trade. The best we'll get is that "whilst it doesn't look good now, it was deal that PERHAPS the Dees had to do at the time due to their pathetic situation. If you don't believe that we wouldn't have made finals this year with Kelly or Bontimpelli at the Dees instead of Tyson & Salem, then you have no idea. The facts are we could've taken Kelly or Bont with Pick 2 and Hunt with Pick 20. If you say Hunt was a stretch at 20, then do what other Clubs have done and turn 20 into 30 & 48 so you get your speculative pick because you know he'll be there. Your defense of Tyson will look silly when Maynard pushes him to Casey next year and Salem's lack of intensity and fierce desire has him at Casey with him.
  18. RPFC, aren't you forgetting we also gave away Pick 20 in this deal. Even now only the diehard Dees supporters are defending this trade. Tyson, slow & one sided. Salem lacks intensity, lacks leg speed and I'm not sure about his desire to build a midfield type engine, just a neat half back flanker. Roos with his one premiership by less than a kick, despite all the advantages enjoyed by the Swans is not always right.
  19. Jake is certainly making plenty on this site eat a lot of humble pie!
  20. 3dee read the post. I said he is a captain, not the captain. You must be fun to live with!!
  21. May is a 26 yo key defender who is a Captain of his Club. Some guys here believe he is the answer to our defensive problems, yet believe that we could get him for a 2nd rounder & a de-list in Kent. GC would want our first rounder plus a Tyson or maybe our 3rd rounder for the points. I would also estimate that May would not want a penny less than $2.8 to $3 million over 4 years. Must say I'm a little concerned about the 193 cm. Purely based on priorities, it's a NO from me, I want the 200 cm forward/ruck and 2 x quick, skilful, precise kicking outside mids.
  22. What say we offer Tyson & Salem for Kelly. Would that get it done?
