  1. It was actually Josh Kelly & Pick 20 for Tyson & Salem.
  2. Selection = Some pace please I'm not saying we have much in this area but FCS time to roll the dice on anyone with a bit of toe. Time for Baker, Stretch and last roll for Garlett.
  3. Ok Demons11, we now know that you're not very bright. But at least you're a not so bright Melbourne supporter so we'll forgive you. Let me spell it out for you to save you having to go back and slowly read my post again. I wasn't actually criticising the Recruiting, I was actually criticising the obsessive SELECTION of Goodwin & MacCartney with slow, inside, contested possession winners. Guess what, the whole footy world knows that when you continually play Melbourne just get it outside the contest and watch how well Tyson, Brayshaw, Viney, Jones, Vince, Lewis, etc etc chase after it. Why on earth they Selected Tyson the last 2 games and not brought in a Crumber, or someone with a bit of outside toe, eg, Spargo, Stretch or even Garlett is beyond belief. Let me explain it even clearer for you. What is the single Club and Opposition Player that is going to get Jack Viney up for a contest? Hopefully, you worked that one out. Yes, it is Port Power and Ollie Wines. And what do you know, JV nearly BOG but the Selectors bring in Tyson instead of backing JV in to do the job and strengthening the team with a Crumber like Spargo or Garlett in a night game where there is going to be plenty of Crumbs. On my reckoning, we lost the Geelong game at Selection through playing Maynard & Wagner. We lost the Port Power game at Selection, read above. And what do you think today about the Selection of Petty & Tyson over Frost/Keilty & Spargo/Garlett/Stretch? A mate of mine who played a couple of hundred Ammo games and gets to training & Casey games told me a couple of weeks ago that Petty will be a nice player but thought he was a skinny, under developed 18 year old that understandably should be debuting sometime in 2019. Told me that both Frost & Keilty would play before Petty. On today's evidence, Petty debuted too soon. Anyway, I hope you read Posts a little more carefully and really understand them before you fire off the keyboard barbs.
  4. No point in recruiting outside pace when Goodwin & MacCartney are so obsessed with slow, inside contested possession winners. Clearly, Goodwin doesn’t watch many Richmond games.
  5. That would be great but he’s always injured.
  6. Out - T Smith, J Smith & Vince In - Weideman, Frost, Stretch
  7. FCS play Frost in the same position as Tim Smith. Taller, faster, stronger. He’d certainly provide a far better Ruck option. I’ll bet my footy knowledge that Frost will play a lot more AFL games than Tim Smith. If it were me though, Frost comes in for either J Smith or Vince.
  8. Frost is a hell of a better AFL prospect than Tim Smith who is barely VFL level. Great comment regarding the ridiculously premature line put through Lynden Dunn who is now a Top 6 AFL key defender. I hope these fools don’t do the same to Frost who is just so young, big, strong & athletic that he must be persevered with over bloody Tim Smith.
  9. BillyBlanks29, your choice of favourite players really says it all. You’d probably give them all a hug and a ribbon for just turning up. FCS FO.
  10. Gaff is younger and is physically sound. Gaff every day of the week.
  11. Sloane is a sliding A Grader & Gaff is an improving A Grader. Gaff is younger, healthier and would probably win the Brownlow if it were counted today. To top it off, Gaff is more of what we need I would take Gaff well & truly ahead of Sloane.
  12. I don’t want any debutants (Keilty or Petty) on Queens Birthday. Lever replacement must come from either Frost, Hunt, Wagner or J Smith. Debut Keilty against a bottom 4 side, not the Filth on QB.
  13. That off season drama must have been a real distraction to his pre-season
  14. I expect that because the game is in Alice Springs and we have totally committed to this NT thing then they’ll drop Spargo for Garlett. I will find it very disappointing but Can’t have Eddie Betts hogging all the indigenous limelight.
  15. This has to be the most ridiculous post in many years. I just can’t imagine what sort of meaningless life one would have to lead to allow such an insignificant comment by a sports journalist that has to fill 19 hours of microphone time per week to upset them in the slightest.
  16. Have got to the point where I just can’t afford the time to travel & watch suburban grade footballers like, Harmes, ANB, Stretch, Wagner, Kent & Garlett. By the way, would the fools on this site that continually go into raptures after Garlett plays his one good quarter every 4 weeks please see him for exactly what he is: an absolute cat. Some of us on this site have been calling for only players with genuine leg speed, good decision making and kicking skills to be recruited for the last 2 Drafts now, but oh no, we continually have to select one paced mids who can’t kick the footy. And we can finally say the Tyson & Salem for Picks 2 (Kelly or Bontimpelli or Cripps) & 20 ( You don’t want to see the number of very good players taken at Pick 20 or after) is a FAIL. My last point is that before all the sycophants and eternal optimists start raving on about the Recruiting guy and Josh Mahoney and Todd Viney, just look at the terrible depth and weaknesses in our list DESPITE having so many more early picks over the last 5 years than Richmond, Adelaide, West Coast, North Melb etc, etc who continually finish higher than us every year.
  17. Hey, Magner, Maynard. Not too much difference in ability, even you’d have to agree.
  18. Wagner a beast. Wow, what rubbish! And NO, the coaches don’t always know better than all the keyboard warriors. If Demonland selected the side, we’d be 3 - 0. Still can’t believe that they picked Magner and didn’t select Frost & Tyson from Round 1. The same lot cost us games early last year when they refused for weeks to select Pederson. The same lot made a horribly short sighted decision to rush Viney back, look how that’s working out! Just because you’re a manager or a coach doesn’t mean you’re always right. Those on here that continually say, ‘in Goodwin, we totally trust” are too easily pleased.
  19. It would certainly be stupid to HATE something so prematurely that you have paid such a high price for! It is plain lazy for those that promoted the Lever at any cost argument to call those that wanted him, but not at the cost of ruling us out of a first round pick for 2 years, haters.
  20. I’m not so sure Lever plays like a Tall. I think Lever plays more like a Hibberd than a KPD. I think it is absolutely critical to bring in Frost so Lever can go do his unaccountable, sometimes creative, sometimes big defensive spoil type thing.
  21. Well if we all believe Brisbane has such poor tall forwards, I certainly hope our 2 x first round, $800k CHB really stands up. I’m happy to go on record as saying we paid full RRP.
  22. Lost by one kick to one of the weakest sides Geelong will field all year, plus they lost a key player early. I am filthy at the thought of those who state this was a gallant/brave loss. This was a matter of not being good enough to beat a weakened team on our home ground after an off-season of talking tough and saying how we’ll rebound after a pathetic end to last season. If you lose a game you should’ve won, that is a bad loss.
  23. Why is Tyson as emergency a surprise? Many on here have said for some time that we won’t be a serious competitor until players with the limitations of Tyson’s disposal & one-sidedness and Bugg’s disposal, particularly goal conversion are seen as simply depth players.
