Our Heart Beats True
So it sounds like you agree. All I’m saying is that it is the best game in the world but with heavily compromised fixtures, home ground playing advantages, and inequitable drafting, it has lost a lot of older supporters. Particularly from the non super power Clubs. Thank goodness the Swans shot themselves in the foot and the AFL abolished the COLA. Wasn’t that a leg up for the NSW States. No wonder the Swans haven’t bottomed out for 20 years! With COLA and Academies it would be nearly impossible to bottom out.

Our Heart Beats True
Absolutely. If it meant a 100% pure, unadulterated Draft, yes. Who the bloody hell have we got from Father Son apart from Jack Viney who is just a good ordinary player. Father Sons have won Geelong numerous Premierships.

Our Heart Beats True
I have been incredibly annoyed by the inequitable fixture for years but this anger has been overtaken by the unfair advantages given to certain clubs with these bloody Academies. Another player this year who is tipped to be in the Top few is a GWS Academy player. It is so far from a level playing field that my interest is now almost zero.

My 3 word player analysis v Richmond
You need to look closer at the game. Tom MAC was poor. Hore, Frost & Salem were very good.

My 3 word player analysis v Richmond
Greatly undervalued Stretch & Hore and greatly overrated Tom MacDonald.

Josh Kelly
Josh Kelly will only consider signing a long term deal at one of three Clubs. His management has been told to only engage with GWS, Kangaroos & Carlton. Whilst my info was pre Christmas, it came from another player looked after by his management team and I believe it’s on the money.

Welcome to Demonland: James Jordon
Yeah, they’re just the most successful club of the modern era and have won about 10 Flags since us. That said, you are missing the only point which was just what a Smokey this selection was.

Welcome to Demonland: James Jordon
True that Clarry was a bolter, however, within 2 weeks of Draft night everyone knew he was first round and improving. Everyone is still trying to find out who James is 24 hours after the Draft. Encouraging thing for me is the bottom age aspect. Let’s hope!

Welcome to Demonland: James Jordon
This is an interesting selection. I can tell you that Hawthorn classified him as Not Draft Quality. This is the label they attach to all players they believe are not worthy of Draft consideration. I also looked at a lot of Phantom Drafters and I don’t recall seeing anyone nominate him in a Top 50. Let’s hope Jason Taylor proves them all wrong.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
No negotiation in any of those you mentioned. Hibberd & Melksham were so obviously a 2nd round picks at where we were. Never 1st or 3rd rounders. Lewis & Garlett we’re pushed out by their Clubs and nobody else wanted them, once again, no negotiation skill required. Vince, read Hibberd & Melksham. Plenty would argue we paid a little too much for Frost, put it this way, he wasn’t a steal. We are one of those Clubs that seem to be very easy for other Clubs to deal with and for just once I want to do an Essendon type deal where we clearly can say we got Overs.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Please tell me one single trade deal we won at the negotiation stage since we got what appeared to be overs for Darren Jolly. Got done over in both the Tyson & Lever deals so I await evidence of winning negotiations.

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
Alistair Clarkson obviously agrees with you, or else he’d still be a Hawk. Clarko thought Jordan had 1, possibly 1.5 left in the tank but told him to go and get himself a 3 year contract at a Club that was prepared to bring him in. Next year, unless we have a shocking run of injuries, it probably should be either Jones or Lewis in the 22.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Well Jonathon Brown showed that footage amongst several others on On The Couch as another example of Jesse Hogan being terribly out of position.

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
The title of this thread is quite possibly the most inaccurate & inappropriate in all my time at Demonland. It has gone on for far too long and is quite frankly demeaning to the Demonland brand. Please close it down.

The Need for Outside Midfielders
With the greatest of respect to you and Matthew Lloyd, WattsJurrahDunn and I have been posting this for two years. The media are now only writing about this as well as now discovering what a terrible decision to give Picks 2 & 20 for Tyson, 9 and 57. I heard Terry Wallace rubbishing that deal on SEN yesterday. Well, hello Terry.

The Need for Outside Midfielders
Skuit, you gained my respect by your efforts and investigation skills, so what are your thoughts on 4 years for DanHan and having to give a Pick circa 12 - 18? And the coin is serious.

The Need for Outside Midfielders
John, Viney will never and can never be an outside mid.

The Need for Outside Midfielders
I appreciate he’s coming off no pre season with groin issues but his recent form and in particular his stats tonight indicate as I suggested a player now in decline. I seriously hope I’m wrong but my mail is that Dees have tabled an extremely generous 4 year offer which only requires the Dees to come up with the Pick that satisfies the Swans for this to happen. Swans are desperate for the Salary Cap relief plus need 1st Round Picks for Darcy Moore & McGovern.

The Need for Outside Midfielders
G’day Skuit. I missed the first half of this Swans/Cats game as I was at training. I was wondering how DanHan is going mate.

The Need for Outside Midfielders
Great work Skuit. However, off the top of my head I recall one where I Posted that my Hawks recruiting mate told me the day after that Draft they had James Sicily ranked about 20 or 30 places higher than they got him at. I remember another Poster who has Murray Bushranger connections slammed that assessment at the time. Hawks seem to have got that one spot on in their assessment. Anyway, I am very confident that this is accurate and will pass on when I can
