Phantom Drafts - 2018
A mate of mine that Is on the recruiting team for an AFL club mentioned that he likes one called Will Golds or similar at Oakleigh Chargers I think. Thought he represents value for a late Pick. Any thoughts?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
No negotiation in any of those you mentioned. Hibberd & Melksham were so obviously a 2nd round picks at where we were. Never 1st or 3rd rounders. Lewis & Garlett weâre pushed out by their Clubs and nobody else wanted them, once again, no negotiation skill required. Vince, read Hibberd & Melksham. Plenty would argue we paid a little too much for Frost, put it this way, he wasnât a steal. We are one of those Clubs that seem to be very easy for other Clubs to deal with and for just once I want to do an Essendon type deal where we clearly can say we got Overs.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Please tell me one single trade deal we won at the negotiation stage since we got what appeared to be overs for Darren Jolly. Got done over in both the Tyson & Lever deals so I await evidence of winning negotiations.

Electrifying Aboriginal forwards
Ok, well letâs not recruit any fast, skilful players because one we did Pick was a spud. Letâs go and find more Tysons & Maynards because we mustnât have enough of those slow, unskilful types.

Casey Demons v Box Hill Hawks - VFL Grand Final
But seriously, Hutchins is barely C Grade ammos. Whatâs the Go with him?

Casey Demons v Box Hill Hawks - VFL Grand Final
Casey play one short. Number 1 (Hutchins) hasnât touched it in 2 weeks.

Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
Alistair Clarkson obviously agrees with you, or else heâd still be a Hawk. Clarko thought Jordan had 1, possibly 1.5 left in the tank but told him to go and get himself a 3 year contract at a Club that was prepared to bring him in. Next year, unless we have a shocking run of injuries, it probably should be either Jones or Lewis in the 22.

Pies Gone Past Us ??
I canât believe you would think I was saying that. Their first Rounder plus one for Moore, gives them 2 first rounders to possibly move further ahead of us.

Electrifying Aboriginal forwards
Many of us have been lamenting our chronic shortage of outside running midfielders & a couple of smallish, lightning fast, tackling forwards for years. Surprise, surprise, look what happens when you take a whole team of slow, contested players to a fast track in WA. Football Department seems obsessed with slowish, inside midfielders and key defenders and it absolutely staggers me to hear we are even wasting our time talking to fat Steven May, particularly when he isnât a Free Agent and GC want 2 First Rounders. FCS, 2 First Rounders for May, and we donât have the players that are required to take to WA and play on FAST grounds???
-
Time for Jack Viney to lead on his own?
I just donât know where Jones plays in 2019. He sure ainât an outside running wingman. Look at Collingwoodâs wingmen, Sidebottom & Phillips. Wouldnât they love the thought of playing on Jones.
-
Pies Gone Past Us ??
Pies have much better experienced players in Pendles & Sidebottom compared to Jones & Lewis. Grundy matches our key player in Gawn and they smash us for outside run. Theyâll trade Darcy Moore and end up with 2 first rounders this year so letâs hope they donât nail their picks again.

Changes v Eagles - Preliminary Final
Iâm amazed at the calls for Vince to come in. He was in terrible form before injured, in fact, poor for most of the year. We were terrible tonight with Tyson & Jones on the wings so surely we need to replace at least one of them and we know it wonât be Jones. out Tyson and in either Hunt or Joel Smith fir some leg speed on the fast WA track.

The Importance of Jordan Lewis
I had him in best 8, possibly best 6 in what was a superb team performance. We are so lucky Alistair sent him our way. Those that persisted in extremely negative posts on Lewis & Frost either have to apologise, change their identity to keep posting or just shut up.
-
Slamming Sam Frost
Iâm going to persist in reminding all the Frost knockers how bloody stupid they were and how little they really understand the development of a tall afl player because they were relentless in their bagging of him. There are also some fools who have been relentless in their posting that Jordan Lewis should never play again. Boy has Jordan made them look stupid! They must all be embarrassed by their poor judgement.

Luke Dahlhaus
My comparisons (no need for your apostrophe) werenât based on playing close to goal, they were simply small/medium players that regularly make best 22.
-
Luke Dahlhaus
Dahlhaus is a superior player than, Spargo, ANB, AVB, Hannan, JKH & Kent. He is also more of what we need than Tyson. To say heâs not Best 22 is just wrong.

Dan Hanneberry
I have come to realise on Demonland that there are some Posters that just object and want to counter argue just for the sake of it. It would make a really interesting study. I suspect that it might have something to do with perhaps not having been player they wanted to be or just general lack of life achievement which manifests itself in keyboard warrior syndrome. As I say, the "let's tear it down", "let's doubt it", "let's ridicule it" reaction is alive and well at Demonland. I've given you a bit of good mail, totally backed up by Pro Dee and all you want to do is still dispute it.
-
Dan Hanneberry
Well the Club agrees because as I say they have withdrawn their earlier interest and they continue to go very hard for Gaff.
-
Dan Hanneberry
Hi Ante_Up. Iâd only be guessing because the fact is my strong, direct connections are within several Clubs, Swans, Hawks, & Geelong not the Dees. I must say Iâm surprised that anyone is doubting this mail because as I say, prior to my Post, Dan H was only being mentioned in injury reports.
-
Dan Hanneberry
Yes ET, with Grundy and Reid finished for different reasons, they are desperate for May. The feeling is that Gaffâs âbrain fadeâ was due to the incredible stress of the upcoming decision to tell the Weagles that he would be leaving the Club to return home. He loves the Eagles but was favouring a decision to come home and the Club also thought that was the case which led to the massive McGovern offer. Who knows how this recent event changes things.
-
Dan Hanneberry
That was always going to be an issue, particularly when a Club like the Saints who have lower picks gets involved, however, Dan H has to agree to go to a bottom Club like the Saints. To answer your question, if we were to package Tyson & that Adelaide second round pick which is now not too bad you might squeeze something decent from a Carlton etc etc.
-
Dan Hanneberry
Surely, youâre aware as is the whole football world that we had an enormous crack at Dan when he signed his last Contract. Mahoney has been on record earlier this year as saying that he really believed that we had the salary cap ability to bring in 2 top end talents. I suspect that Dan & Andrew Gaff were 2 that weâre in the mix.

Dan Hanneberry
As some of you know, particularly Skuitt, many weeks ago I posted that the Dees had an arrangement in place that if Sydney could be satisfied with a very high Draft Pick, Hannaberry would be Demon next year on a long term contract, and as I stated, âvery big coinâ Let me make it clear that my Demonland Post was the very first mention in any form of media about Hannaberry breaking a Contract with more than 2 full seasons to run. A couple of weeks later Damian Barrett & others started to get a sniff and started running stories. As we now all know, the Saints became aware of Danâs availability and are in for anything with a pulse and have taken over the running. Let me update you. About 2 weeks ago, the Dees informed Danâs management & the Swans that due to the necessary but unexpected increase in the contract values of some recent signings that the Melb FC would be withdrawing any interest in that Trade. I believe that the Club also had to increase their offer for Andrew Gaff which made a 4/5 year $800k offer to Dan rather difficult. I can also inform you all that the Swans are desperate for the Hannaberry trade to happen as they are extremely keen on Steven May and need the Pick and the salary cap relief. I have also been told that the Tom Lynch to Richmond deal has been done. Also, just to make yesterdayâs defeat worse. In addition to Buddy having the exact same heal injury that sidelined Mitchell Starc for so long, Josh Kennedy has a knee injury that hasnât allowed him to train for weeks and is also being jabbed to play.
