PODCAST: Brodie Grundy Interview
Thanks Demonland and Brodie Grundy great interview and noticed that you were able to fit a lot of the questions in and get honest answers from Brodie. Max downplayed his role in getting Grundy across to the Dees but Brodie has mentioned Max’s influence in his last two interviews and how impressed he was that Max was in the Room. There’s a lot to like about Brodie Grundy and we are indeed fortunate that he chose us and I love Bruce’s dance moves above. Lol.!!!!

Casey Demons off season
Thanks KC greatly appreciated the kids did well to stay with Coburg, accuracy certainly helps.!!!

He's back
Some people deserve a second chance and I feel Morris fits into this category he knows a bit about footy and he will be working with a close friend in Sarah Olle. I like Bevo but he is a bit of a Grandstander who needs to focus on footy and not headlines, he has fallen away a bit in my opinion.!! Good luck Tom keep working on your shortcomings it will make you a better human.!!

Welcome to Demonland Josh Schache
One thing in Josh’s favour is that he is 200cm and can provide relief forward, back and ruck. Good luck Josh continue to build your tank, strength and physicality you could be the Ace up our sleeve at the pointy end of the season.!!!!

POSTGAME: Practice Match vs Richmond
Watched the replay when we got home last night went to sleep pretty happy, loved the speed of the game and disposal accuracy at 84% at one stage of the game. Still annoyed by some lose turnovers going forward and a few howlers by the umps but to see Rivers, Sparrow and Bowey take that next step and Chandler, McVee, Laurie and Taj given a run in the ones is very positive. All our stars shone and Grundy and Hunter lived up to the pre-season hype so we are in for one hell of a ride where players will get plenty of opportunities and our stars will be rested adequately to get them to the pointy end of the season in good shape. Now for the Bulldogs at the “G”. Go Dees.!!!!!!!!

PREGAME: Practice Match vs Richmond
Agree that having quality depth allows the team to backfill holes in the side as they open up, we need like for likes where we don’t lose much when players get their opportunities. I am expecting 5-6 players to get their opportunity in 2023 we need to blood players when they are ready to go and not make the mistake of playing sore or injured players like we did last year.!!!

MFC Family Day: Saturday 25th February 2023
Yes we did WCW although my daughter and grandaughter placed the order and paid, how terrible that Coles let the Demon Army down on such a critical day. We were coming back for seconds after the players left but the queue was out of control you ladies were flat chat.👍

MFC Family Day: Saturday 25th February 2023
It was a great turnout we had an enjoyable time and tried the Demon Army sausages and bread x5 very yummy. As mentioned earlier the queue’s were long which limited the number of player autographs but the kids managed to get all the young guns as they were all located in the one area along with JJ, Tommo and Michael Hibberd. How good is Benny Brown he raised $63,000 plus for the cause.! The last time we attended was 2019 it was a smaller event and players were much more accessible but that is the price of success.!!!

Welcome to Demonland Will Verrall
After watching him in the match simulation yesterday I had a good look at him and a number of our youngsters at the family day this morning and he looks the goods confidant and friendly with the kids and adults alike. I have high hopes for Will.!!!

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Not afraid to show his emotions about the lack of support from his coach and his club, I liked his comment I will (fn) see you on queens birthday. Let’s hope we can harness his talent so that he becomes a Melbourne premiership player and how good would it be against the Pies.!!

Goodwin knows that talk is cheap I think we will see him after the practice matches and we are leading into the real season. I know that I cringe whenever I see other coaches being interviewed during pre-season it feels scripted I would rather hear from Williams and Line coaches or the players. But that’s just me. Lol.!!!

MFC Annual General Meeting tonight 20/2/2023 at 6:30pm
Where’s the discussion on the good news, we keep beating ourselves up about inner city training facilities, we have Goshes, AAMI and we have just spent $17m on upgrading Casey so that our four teams have the necessary facilities to start winning premierships again, premierships that most of us thought that we would never see again. We are rebuilding our club to a state of relevance we need to continue to build the club, we need that 70 - 75,000 paid up members and we need to average crowds of 50,000 at our home games so that “people” take us seriously . As Pert points out we need more clout in the AFL, winners are grinders, this is the best ride that I have had with the club and we should all be enjoying the ride and thank everyone who has helped us get this far. I will not be around to see our Shang- re-la but hopefully my kids and grandkids may.!!!!
