What are the thoughts on Toby trade and when do you see it getting done??? They want him he wants to go, are we delaying the deal or are GWS???
  2. We need a sleeping emoji.lol.!!!

Oyie, layzie a player is worth what someone is willing to pay and after completing his apprenticeship Toby is ready to go. Mid 2nd rounder at the min, he should have played more games for us this year our failure to do so has burnt him, sadly.!!
  4. Stings he’s not going.!!
  5. Thanks LH that sounds much closer to the mark, Harry and James had good years, only the missed games cost them in the voting but both finished the year strongly.!!
  6. Totally agree WCW remember what happened to Hawthyin 2009 when they pushed out a couple of premiership players that Clarko said he wouldn’t do. Harmed the synergy created in 2008.!! ps(hope Tim Lamb is correct and JH is a required player).
  7. Thanks layzie I couldn’t remember the players name.!!
  8. Have to agree to disagree Adonski.
  9. For me James Harmes is a first 18 player, he’s not a bottom six player he’s tough hard and can fill a number of roles, he is a good mark and kicks pretty straight. He is fast enough to quell opposition’s top mids, there are no guarantees on anyone we bring in. For mine he is a Keeper. No If’s But’s or Maybes.!!!

Thanks WCW those are lovely sentiments for our young man Jayden Hunt.ā¤ļøšŸ’™šŸ’•
  11. Yze was a ball player first but he had no fear and never backed away I remember one day down at Geelong he lost his cool and put someone to sleep.!!

I understand where you are coming from we tend to adopt each new recruit and watch their development closely and enjoy their gains, 1st game, 50 games and once they reach 100 we are fully committed to them and hope they become 200 game players. It is always sad to see them fall by the wayside ala Rosman, etc and see others get traded out to other clubs for greater opportunity even when they leave we still tend to follow their paths to see how they are faring at their new club. For us Supporters it is like losing an extended family member.ā¤ļøšŸ’™šŸ˜ŖšŸ˜¢
  13. Pretty damn good 58er Demonland top ten votes reflected coaches votes apart from order and we have our biases as do the coaches.lol.!!!
  14. I was impressed by Kate Roffe speech at the B&F, I love the idea of the Premiership Ring for all premiership players and the Life Membership and making it retrospective for all of our existing legends. Kate is so inclusive for everyone involved in club including members and supporters. Nice touch to mention LJ wishing him all the best but also welcoming him back if the Freo thing doesn’t work out.ā¤ļøšŸ’™āœ…
  15. Bowey has a high footy IQ and is an excellent kick remember what they said about Diesel Williams to short, too slow.. he showed them.!!!
  16. Yes he got injured in the VFL up in Brisbane where he racked up 35 possessions in Casey’s only loss for the year. Someone stood on his foot late in the game unfortunately. He was the Medi sub the night before.😪
  17. Great result for Clayton let’s his footy do the talking for him hope his girlfriend wasn’t there.lol!!! Our top five are all great leaders we are very fortunate.
  18. Hopefully Adem isn’t to shattered, hopefully swings back into his real job with Goody and team at the Dee’s and starts working on the modified mid field plan to get our next Granny.!!!
  19. My picks are:- Clayton Oliver Christian Petracca Stephen May Angus Brayshaw Jack Viney / Max Gawn ( hampered by injury) Harrison Petty / Bayley Fritsch / Kozzie Pickett Jayden Hunt Then :- LJ Ed Langdon (great until injured) James Harmes ( solid all year) Injury / Covid effected a number of our good players.😪😢

I will be very disappointed if Jayden goes particularly to West Coast, I hope that we can do a decent deal to keep him but will wish him all the best if he decides to go.😪

If we get Grundy hopefully that resolves one of our greatest issue, in having a good backup ruckman to support Max. However also need a young tall to develop at Casey long term. We desperately need a tall tough forward that can take a contested mark and kick straight to back JVR and Fritsch up and take some pressure off our fwd setup. I would like to see Gus back to half back or wing and bring in an outside mid with more pace and great kicking skills. We also need some pace off the backline to potentially replace Hunt and Hibberd so hopefully a couple of our youngsters step up to the plate such as Chandler/ Bedford/ Bowey/ Laurie/ Woewodin/ Howes/ AMW /Smith, etc. critical needs- Quality backup ruckman plus a young developing ruck. Tall tough talented skilled forward Pacey skilled outside mid.

I like Jack as well he would have been good short term but he will be 31 next month and is only 193cm. I am hoping for a bigger stronger forward to play in tandem with JVR, Fritsch and whoever else is still standing at the Dee’s.!!!

Agree layzie I would love to see some input from Binman, Dazzle or posters that are close to the footy scene to provide a bit of insight to the formal process.

Layzie going on past scenarios I would be gobsmacked if we haven’t already reviewed his medical status prior to meeting with him, particularly if we are in serious discussions with Pies which would appear to be the case. As the old saying goes we aren’t going to spend $3.5m over 5 years on a ā€œpig in a pokeā€. So to speak.
