Funnily enough if our boys had kicked straight as did our opposition Simon Goodwin would have been the hero winning with a makeshift forward line. Jeez.!!!!
  2. I, my family and a lot of friends went absolutely bananas after our big win in ‘21 and I couldn’t speak more highly of the way we were able to order and receive our merchandise from MFC, our mob really stepped up and that was despite Covid, so I guess all clubs step up when the big bucks are concerned.😁
  3. I thought that Andrew Dillon endorsed our senior management and Leadership group quite strongly this afternoon. We have been let down but I would suggest it’s not by any of the club’s leaders.

Hi Garbo I am red in one eye and blue in the other, my glass is always half full, there are times when I feel emotionally drained and distant and there are times when I feel so exhilarated by the actions of our team out on the ground when I and all around me are singing our song that I could burst with pride. I recognise everyone’s right to agree/disagree with what is happening but I challenge you to specify what PR spin you are referring to, we have 44 players on our list. They all give their best that’s all they can do in our quest to see the Cup lifted on the G, they should not be castigated nor our Culture ridiculed for someone’s stupid actions. By the way where is the Horror from the press when alleged Sexual Assault is deemed lesser than when someone allegedly damages themselves and their families name and reputation. Where is the fairness, as mentioned above this is the time for the club to go strong and that means, all of us - Admin, coaches, players and supporters.!!
  5. I am also bullish about 2024, we desperately need a bit of luck, we need a reasonable run with injury and health for our crucial players. We need all the kids to step up for Casey as success breeds success. We need at least four of those kids to come in and refresh the squad as well as Fullarton, Billing’s and McAdam successfully slotting in and providing improvement to our list. Most importantly we need Kysaiah, JvR, Fritta and Harrison Petty being available at the business end of the year and if it all comes together we win our 14th Cup.
  6. As for Kynan Brown I remember during draft night wondering why we frittered away picks whilst not snapping the kid up given his performance in the Coates League and Metro MVP Award winner, only me but I thought it was a bit insulting. So glad that we picked him up as he really shone on Sunday against the Tiges. Feel he will play a lot of footy for us, well done Kynan “pup” Brown.!
  7. Ed is definitely not the human dynamo that he was up until mid ‘22, he suffered a pretty nasty rib injury and hasn’t reached his previous heights since. It’s not that long ago when Ed was very highly rated on this site and around the club, he was discussed regularly in the Wingers club on the Gus & Gawny podcast and polled regular votes on the DLand best player award. I really hope for Langers and us that he can regain his A grade game. At 28 he should be at his peak??
  8. I would have Tomlinson in for TMac, he’s coming off a calf niggle and a lot of people have listed him as cooked? I would also give Windsor another run and Verrall needs to be in the starting 22 to support Max.😁
  9. Sorry stinga Will Verrall is a ruck/fwd and need him up fwd more than another key back, I would wait until we are well into the season before we attempt that. Tomlinson can hold down 3rd tall defender until Adams/Turner are ready.
  10. Thanks Binman, Sparrow mentioned that they had been playing fatigued football and I was disappointed how we fell away after that 25 minute mark and despite fighting our way back into the game we certainly lacked zipp. So I agree with your thoughts, unfortunately we left after the 4th stanza and missed seeing Clayton and the other boys play.
  11. Disco is having a very rough run with injury as do a lot of young AFL players, don’t fret to much young man let the body heal and then come back fitter and stronger. I have a feeling that we may need you near the business end of the year.
  12. Hi Deeby it’s funny but my daughter and I commented on how great the facilities are at Casey, with the main oval in such pristine condition toilet facilities acceptable, the sports fields surrounding the main ground, massive car parking. The only downer is lack of a grandstand or additional seating around the ground, although I noticed all the smart people bought their own seating. I will also add that the conditions today were exceptional warm overcast and only a slight breeze but all attendees seemed to be in good spirits apart from the poor lady sitting next to me who got hit in the head by the ball kicked by one of the Tiges goal kickers. !!
  13. We stayed for the first 4 periods, I liked the look of young Brown, the Duke and Verrall but was surprised how slick the Tiges outplayed our backline and piled on quick goals, I was also surprised that they were able to move the ball from the backline to the forward line on a number of occasions without us touching the ball. Our kicking and marking needs to come up a notch.!!
  14. Half way through the third and 44 points down at Geelong if you don’t mind and win it with the last mark and kick of the game. As Bobby would have said it was fair dinkum unbelievable, pure determination and guts.!!
  15. Thanks WERRIDEE, Kev, NC, Jontee , Demonland and all posters. Agree with Damo great that our injury woes are on the improve also glad they didn’t overdo the training today as looking forward to seeing the boys in full match simulation tomorrow morning.😁😁🔥
  16. I think that Tracc is the total professional he keeps working on himself to get that little bit extra out of himself and shares what he is doing with our high performance team. He is quite inspirational and I love that he has the confidence to discuss it so openly.!!
  17. That is brilliant news for the MFC.!!
  18. Thanks DZ we are still waiting on two packs, hopefully be here before our first home game.lol.!!
  19. There is plenty on the site this morning.😁
  20. That’s correct the AFL website is showing Melbourne at Seymour and surrounding’s Feb 12th & 13th. Maybe they are heading off after training.!! Thanks WCW I just saw your post something must have come up to make such a late change.😳
  21. Thanks FF that was a nice surprise particularly in such hot and blustery conditions, great effort.
  22. Aren’t they supposed to be in Seymour Community Camp?
  23. From memory it was mentioned that Shane McAdam was on light duties walking the boundary line in the last training report.
  24. I just watched the Dee v Swans game we were 17 down in the third when Fritta went off with a foot issue then Jake Melksham did his knee and hobbled off. No Petty no Melks, no TMac no BBB and JVR helping Max in the ruck. Fritta came back on and kicked three superb goals, we ground them down and kicked the last 5 goals of the game and run out 22 point winners. It wasn’t pretty but gutsy tough never give in footy, commentators were willing Swans to win and claim a home final in front of a packed home crowd. But we said NO.!!!
  25. I can’t see anything on the MFC website regarding Seymour Community Camp, there’s nothing like revving up the local community or resident Dee supporters in anticipation of getting involved with the camp??
