  1. 6 - Curtin or O’Sullivan 11 - Leake or Tholstrup
  2. Reading all the pro’s and con’s I am feeling pretty comfortable about this draw, No Cattery or Tassie and a decent break between the byes is a pleasant surprise. Feeling confident that if we get a decent run with injury we can be a genuine contender in 2024 and a big thanks to Kate Roffe for pushing for greater justice for MFC.
  3. 100% agree as well Kat and Jane I cannot accept that Maynard decision it makes no logical sense and neither did the Patrick Cripps media fiasco in 2022.
  4. Any thread that starts with AFL Media release, they just keep getting better……!!!
  5. Not a great fan of Ed’s but acknowledge his knowledge and love of everything football. RDB is a multi layered legend, hero, coach, family man and above all fierce competitor in everything that he pursued. I loved the broad cross section of people that spoke on Ron’s behalf the stories, anecdotes and love for the man was heart warming. I had never heard his son Ron Jnr speak before and he delivered a wonderfully warm and insightful speech which honoured Ron in so many ways, he would have been so proud of Ron Jnr and his amazing memorial. As his manager said he was part General Patton and part Star Trak visionary. I watched it on Ch7.💕❤️💙
  6. Thanks Lexinator my thoughts as well, last thing that I would like to see is our boys develop a siege mentality. They are on their break it is the Spring Carnival time to dress up and enjoy themselves and their friends, come back relaxed, fit and healthy for another crack next year.!!
  7. Poor Jack he came to us when we were at our worst, our player development was so poor that we burnt a number of kids, Jack included, he could have had a much better life if he had joined us now. Sad that he has had such a terrible journey to redemption. Good luck Jack.!
  8. Some very smart goals there and not too shabby on the tackles as well. Go Kynan Brown.!!
  9. Wow that is super by the club, I suppose they have to be more efficient now that we have 70,000 members. 😁
  10. Will be watching our AFLW team closely through the finals and hoping our girls can win back to back Flags.!!
  11. I’m with you BDA You can only rake over the coals so many times, my anxiety and frustration has diminished substantially, now just hanging out for the draft then I will switch off until 2024 as well.!!
  12. Kill Maynard.!!😁😁
  13. Maybe change the terminology, although all clubs call it the same, there would be some very interesting exit interviews with players that have not been offered a contract extension. I remember that Riv said he was offered some great advice at his exit interview last year that had an impact on his performance this year. I would love to be a fly on the wall.!!
  14. They maybe playing ducks and drakes to get Curtin et al, JT will know who is fair dinkum. Lol.!!
  15. Looks pretty good to me happy that Zurich and Jaguar are prominent on our jumpers it’s great to have some real continuity with our major sponsors. We have had quite a few over the years.!
  16. To get back on track is there anyone on the site that has any inkling what has transpired between the Brown family and the MFC. I find it a bit distressing that the MFC have not commented on Kynan or his aspirations.!!
  17. Binman please take a bow, that is a very significant list of achievements for the mighty MFC.
  18. Haha he may want to go back- to back - to back, we just need to lock Mick into a long term deal.!!
  19. Fantastic recognition for our AFLW & AFL teams, we are all enjoying our most successful era since the mid 50’s - mid 60’s. Soak it up and enjoy their success, we are in great shape as a club, let’s hope that our AFLW team can go back to back in 2023, the flow on effect will be enormous. Even more boys and girls running around in Red & Blue next season, I am loving this experience.❤️💙
  20. Let’s hope that he nominates the Dees and we pick him up, judging from the write-up’s Kynan deserves a crack at the big time and to be able to follow in his dad’s footsteps.
  21. What happened to pick 42 & 93??
  22. Thanks Demonland great pick up, Tom sounds like a great get for us, humble but keen and determined to play AFL was prepared to move anywhere to get an opportunity I hope we put the finishing touches on Tom and give him regular game time, we are crying out for a two metre player with athleticism and great agility.!!
  23. Trent Rivers is one of those players who really grows on you, he just keeps getting better. The coaches haven’t put a ceiling on him and neither should we, top 10 this year. Tough, fast, disciplined courageous, skilful, a lot of love in the team for and from Riv. I love him off the halfback line, rarely beaten and a critical link player for us. Someone mentioned Future All Australian and I tend to agree.!!
  24. Jake is 5’9”, Judd is 6’1” and Riv is 6’2”, so Riv is a good medium size player same size at Fritsch.
