He could be very important to our long term forward structure and he showed that he is quite at home holding down A key role in defence in his draft year as well. Currently between Neita and Schwartz in size, I, like most on DL feel that this kid is Special. Lock him in MFC.!!!

I am not concerned with JJ old55 he has developed many strings to his bow just think of JJ as Mr versatile, like Gus this year he will plug holes wherever needed. He is a good height, has good skill set and great attitude.!!

You can call the opposition whatever but once they pull on the Red and Blue they are ours, they may not be world beaters but they can be valuable to the overall team performance, you have to give people a chance to perform and our club and footy department the chance to iron the wrinkles out and restore confidence in their own ability, who knows what is possible??

Sam Weideman another young man with plenty of class who acknowledged our club in glowing terms, helps explain why he was loved so much by his teammates, he sounds as disappointed that he didn’t quite make it as we are. Good luck Sam.!!

Thanks LH I have been scanning the pages looking for something that LJ wrote acknowledging his time at MFC his teammates, coaches, fitness staff, boot studders, haven’t been able to find anything not even an acknowledgement of the kind words spoken by Kate Roffe. 19 games at Casey is a fair effort in his first Rookie year. Hopefully grows a couple more cm’s and puts on 10 kg during the pre- season with a name like Judd and being a great kid would love to see him as a long term player for us.!!

Luke had a great year at Casey and had a big impact in the Casey GF, hopefully Luke will get more game time next year. We really must reward effort and he will be fitter and tougher next year.!!

TMac VIP he has bucked the rule and gotten better with age, hope you get that foot right TMac you are so critical to our mighty Dees.!!

I am surprised that Goody didn’t snaffle him for our senior FD obviously knows his stuff. Cats should be renamed the Poachers, I suppose it is a backhanded compliment but hell they don’t muck around. Could set us back a bit at Casey.!!!

We still have two newbies to come plus possible 3 extra Rookies not to mention the continual improvement of our list fitness and health wise plus our younger brigade. Yes we are Firmly in the Window.!!

Welcome home Adam Tomlinson you provide great depth and if all goes well you may enable Petty to be tried forward or at worst you can come in for May, Petty or Rick if any are injured or out of form. Hope you have a great pre-season and get full confidence back in your leg, 2023 is going to be a huge year and we will need all of our experience, stamina and luck to finish top four again. At the start of the Quest the figures being mentioned and never denied was MFC $600k, Pies $300k over 5 Years - we pay $3m, Pies pay $1.5m. Pies needed to offload the money so they could fit DeGoeys salary into the cap. There has been a bit of too-ing and fro-ing happening on DL but think the original scenario would be closest to the pin.!!!

Well that feels a bit better if we can get Max and Brodie superfit look out 2023 and beyond. Just need that extra big forward and backup ruck and we will be on a roll.!!!

Is it just me, I feel exhausted by this trade period so far, as it appears that everyone has achieved their goals bar us. The Hunt trade for steak knives from the AFL left me feeling angry, Bedfords trade helped get Jacko deal over the line and we still didn’t crack into the top 10 ( for a Unicorn?) and we still haven’t completed the trade for Grundy. Now Weid has been dropped into the pan for what gain? And we are still trying to offload Thommo. I am hoping that Weid and Thommo will be player swaps to help ease my anxiety levels.!!!

Yes just watched him on Ch7 Perth caught up with Freo mid season met the coach and players and decided that’s where he was going. No wonder his form dropped off at the pointy end of the season he knew he was outta here. Bit sad but that’s how things go sometimes.!!!
