I remember reading Will’s coaches report in his draft year where he stated that he was as good as Harry Barnett, he had an exceptional U17 year, but but suffered from groin and hip issues during U18 preseason which hampered him during that year. He also had an issue with his pelvis during his first preseason with the Dees. Will was injury free this year so I, like all Dee supporters will be hoping that he has a huge preseason and starts to live up to those high expectations voiced by his former coach. 2025 would be a great time for Will Verrall to break into the team and provide that ruck/ fwd relief that we have lacked since Jackson departed. Good luck Will we are all hoping that you have a great year in ‘25.

Also agree that Jefferson is a natural marking forward, hopefully gets his body right for early ‘25, Kentfield from all accounts is a big bodied forward with a bit of aggression about him but he’s just turned 19, so pretty young. Will Verrall at 200cm could be the wild card and be our Jacko replacement ruck/fwd.

Yes heartily agree with Supreme_Demon and Deez Man, loved his dad and a solid preseason should put him in the window of opportunity, could surprise a few.

I am assuming it’s all tied to the FD Review, hopefully that will be completed and findings discussed before the end of October. Best to have coaching roles sorted and in place prior to the national draft, we may already have coaches ready to roll out. The leaks have been plugged so who knows. I drove past the other day and didn’t notice any smoke.

Every one can put their own spin on any issue Dazzle, as I have said ad- nausea’s I don’t readily believe anything I hear and only half of what I see. I bet if Goody rang Steve he would get a different story and I bet Steve’s sister would have a different version of the truth. Fact is - Geelong had no currency to bring in Smith & Oliver at the same time, so they were just muddying up the water, or putting the boots in, there is little love lost between the two teams. I expect that Clayton Oliver and Christian Petracca will return to the fold healthy and energised and that both players will contribute significantly to our rise up the ladder.

Definitely KC we should have afforded the Petracca family more love initially and shut down the Kozzie rumours quicker. As for Clayton, sounds like a bit of a managers bush picnic, I’d expect the club to sort that out. And perhaps channeled the conversations via a trusted media person, if one exists.

Sorry KozzyCan, in my opinion it was a media pile-on that blew everything out of proportion that pushed the player towards the blues or filth.
