Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
He still kicked more goals for MFC than anyone else on the list in 2024.

Welcome to Demonland: Bayley Fritsch
Agree Sydee in β21-22 we had Ben Brown, a Fit TMac and Luke Jackson running around in our F50, we had the players to stretch any defensive group it also allow Max some freedom around F50 as well, so Bailey had space and freedom and our delivery was so much better during this period. Compare our lack of forward structure in late β23 - 24 heβs copping Weitering and the oppoβs best defenders. I have my fingers crossed that we finally get a specialist Forward Coach and a combination of Petty, Disco, Rooey and Jefferson can stretch our opposition and let Fritta do what he does best in 2025, kick lotsa goals.

My 3 word player analysis V Collingwood

Stats Files - 2024
Thanks DD that is a shocking way to finish the year, I guess itβs already been pretty well dissected. letβs hope our veterans can get back to their best in β25 and that our youngsters put in a big preseason. Letβs not waste pick 5, we need another midfield star and a bit extra real depth around the club.

2024, The season that was, nearly was and then wasn't at all.
Suns won so now sitting 13th, if Saints win today we drop to 14th and Pick 5.π

What a great shot of Riv and his banner.!!

Kate Roffey
Hi Demonland my take on the Kate Roffe thread is that it is no longer about Kate but a general punch up Re: Mr Lawrence Law Case, can we please separate these two threads as I feel that Kate is taking hits that arenβt necessarily hers and that the MFC Board need to address this issue at our next AGM rather than a public punch up on Demonland. Thanks.

Goodwin Gifts Daicos Brownlow
PF it wasnβt just Nick but Josh was running hot as well and just Who in our side last night was going to stop either of them, if we could have caught them, I thought he was going to crack 200 the way he started.

VOTES: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
6 - Max a much better 2nd half 5 - Salem stay fit and healthy 4 - TMac should go around again 3 - Chandler worked hard all night 2 - Kozzie best forward 1 - Trent Rivers reasonable 100th Jack Billings eased out for Rivβs 100th. A lot of sick or injured players tonight or just run out of puff after a disappointing year. Pies had the best 4 players on the ground last night and by some margin.

Laurie Extends for 2 More Years

Trent Rivers - 100 Games!
Congratulations Trent Rivers your first 100 seems to have come up so quick, young Premiership player who made the back flank his own, now pushing into the midfield and owning that as well. Trent plays with intent, tough, hard, fast, intelligent and skilled with a great personality and love of our club. Whatβs not to love about this young man.

Agree No. 31 to still reach 65k after all the negative press regarding Clayton, Grundy & JS as well as the heart break with Gus & Tracc and our loss of form it is a great base to bounce back from. We now have all our ducks lined up, a strong draft to look forward to and another preseason for our youngsters and a couple of our injured veterans.

Kate Roffey
Personally I would have liked some fire and passion from our leaders but I get the feeling that the club has circled the wagons and dug in for a fight. Perty came out strong and quashed the Petracca rumours and the Football Dept have locked in Gawn & Viney and also publicly put their arms around Clayton for all to see that he is a much loved and wanted player. I admire that as a team they have refuted all the gossip, shown the press for what they are and sent them on their way and at the same time removed the angst, stress and disharmony in βmostβ of the supporter group. As for Kate she speaks so well and has obviously had her hands full with non football distractions, however I feel confident that if anyone can get us Caulfield it will be Kate but like all on here I will be bitterly disappointed if we fail again. As mentioned previously Time will Tell.

A huge thanks to WCW, Fritta and Turner and all posters for the in-depth training reports and the wider interpersonal relationships that you have with players, families and footy department. Once the final game is done and dusted it is going to be a long two months. Take care all. β€οΈπ

Woey on The Front Bar
The decision to trade Shane took us all by surprise ( shock/horror) one of my daughters actually bought a Pies membership in β03 and went to a lot of their games. Sad time.!!

Greg Stafford departs Melbourne
A huge thanks to Greg Stafford came aboard during the massive change process introduced by PJ, PR & SG which eventually led to our finals successes in 2018, 2021-2023 and now has made space for someone else to come in and help reinvigorate the group for future successes. Heβs been a great father figure for the team, thanks Greg and good luck in your future endeavours.

Jack Viney Extends Contract Until 2028
Thank you Jack Viney what a great player you are for the MFC and thanks to our FD we have now locked in all our long term key players bar The Judd knuckles McVee but thereβs still time. So JV was playing coy after the Suns game didnβt want to let the cat out of the bag. If we look after Jack we may get him through to the magic 300 club, now wouldnβt that be something for the Viney family.ππ

Garry Lyon brilliant!
I watched On The Couch this morning and was also pleasantly surprised by Gazβs show of concern and love for MFC, I can see why it rattled a few on here. I noticed that Bucks and Brownie looked happy to see him go on the charge regarding Tracc and Jack. If there was ever a more pertinent time for Gaz to stand up for his club it was now and stand up he did. He offered some sage advice to the club to get around Christian and thrash it out and make it work and then offered the observation that Jack Viney is Red and Blue from the top of his head to the tips of his toes and that he will be staying. So I hope that the club hear him as he is sending a strong clear message and at the same time trying to straighten up the ship so that we can look forward to a much better and united 2025. Thanks Garry Lyon.β€οΈπ
