  1. Great story W_J, he also lead 76 Sqd at Milne Bay after his Sqd Leader ( Turnbull) was killed whilst straffing the enemy, a combined force of Aussies and US troops stopped a Japanese Invasion force in their tracks, inflicting so many casualties that the Japanese were force to evacuate their marines, first time they were stopped during WW2 and 76 Sqd played a huge role in the victory. I was there in 2016 and stood on the runway where Bluey flew from. What a man.๐Ÿ’•
  2. So good to have Nathan Jones back at the club he has had time to get over his hurt, he has had a spell in the Media, watched lots of games and would have his own ideas about game plans, midfield strategy and how to inspire his midfield group plus he has Sam Radford in his corner who has years of experience developing teams. Not to mention his 306 games, that puts him up with the legends of the game plus a multiple Bluey Winner. Looking forward to seeing the midfield changes in โ€˜25, welcome back Champ.
  3. Wow the reporting and special comments have gone up several notches kicked off by Demonland and supported by Kev, WW, Great Sage, numerous other posters Plus Intel from Katrina & Ghost writer re: Tom Couch, etc. Really loving these threads so informative it shows the high footy IQ of the posters which is greatly appreciated. You know what Iโ€™m thinking but I wonโ€™t say it.๐Ÿ˜ก
  4. Mercure Resort, we stayed there in 2022, the team stayed there as well but that was a fluke not planned. They have a great restaurant as well. It was a great stay.๐Ÿ‘
  5. Looking forward to seeing Kozzie back out there doing what Kozzie does kicking goals and running opponents down, with the A Team back plus and a lot of young energetic and skilled players bringing the ball in quicker and smarter.
  6. The Kolt getting around the Champ showing the love.
  7. Well No.31 that is why we warmed to you in the first place you obviously associate with our colours and wish you had been born into a demon family Or have strong links to Ronald Dale Barassi .๐Ÿ˜
  8. He was a high performance trainer for US tennis player Danielle Collins circa 2019-2022, Playing Coach for Nth Launceston in 2017, played 3 Games for MFC as a Rookie in 2012 won Casey Scorpions B&F and came 2nd in Liston Trophy same year. Asst midfield coach Carlton AFLW team July โ€˜23, also DeLa Sal GM around that period as well. 15 years in high performance, really hoping this happens, no nonsense coach Son of Paul Brownlow Medalist.
  9. Thanks Demonland great reporting loved the detail and if the Tom Couch news is correct I am rapt, also another well credentialed Dee coming home to roost.
  10. Get along to Marvel, itโ€™s a home game, easy to get there, as 31 pointed out easy access to food and drink and viewing is pretty good. Car park is useful if trains/ trams arenโ€™t convenient. We will be there supporting our boys. Itโ€™s a hell of a lot closer than Alice Springs and I would much prefer playing at Marvel than interstate. PS( 7 interstate games and three of those are in Adelaide, our best run for a long time, thanks LH๐Ÿ˜)
  11. Another year like this one please JV, should be a couple of extra stars in the team to lighten your load Jack, looking forward to you and Jonesy stamping your seal of approval on on our younger brigade.
  12. Steven May hard tough and reliable, our No.1 defender, need him at his best to help get us back into rarefied air again. Hope you maintain your form for at least another three years Mayzie need your leadership down back.
  13. Huge thanks to Kev, Ditcha, waynewโ€ฆโ€ฆ.., Katrina & Ghost writer, Hawk and all other posters, greatly appreciated so much going on at training itโ€™s a veritable smorgasbord loving the detailed reports and snippets of info. The boys have really come back ready to roll.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  14. McAdam has nothing to do with ANB, letโ€™s wait and see what happens before we torch the club.๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ
  15. I would have thought that the press would have been all over this, to distracted with Dees.??
  16. Agree BR Riv really stepped up this year, he played some great games as his confidence grew with the added responsibility in the midfield, showed he is ready for a greater role in the team. Really like Trent Rivers.
  17. Agree BBP he really got back to his very best this year also took on a bit of a leadership role with Windsor under his other wing. We need Ed and the Duke at their best in โ€˜25 along with quite a few others.
  18. Judd McVee has really shone in our back 6, I also hope we stick with Judd down back we were a bit desperate for mids this year that will change in โ€˜25 and why cut our opponents a break when we have one of the best and smartest half backs in the league.
  19. Wow how good to get back to real footy, huge thanks to Kev, Demonland, Startibart, DemonWheels, Katrina ( Mrs Walker Ghost who walks) and all posters for the great reports and comments. Geez Jefferson and Verrall have really put on size and how happy was Jonesy to be back with his boys.
  20. Much better fixturing in 2025 not so taxing even though we won both games this year we can just focus solely on Bummers.
  21. Agree with Ted and you DubDee, I would pencil Roo in as a potential Captain and I also think that Trent Rivers oozes leadership it just needs to be channeled, this new leadership development team that the club are bringing in will unearth and develop 4-6 new leaders that already exist within our group. Remember ANB as soon as he was bought into the leadership group his game went up several notches and continued to improve right up until his last game with us. With an ounce of luck we will bring in another this draft.
  22. I think that our backline is well lead, Gus often referred to it as the Menโ€™s department with much pride and it has been our strongest suite since 2020, the loss of Gus has hurt us much more than a lot realised and we now need a couple of Rivers, Judd, Bowey or Howes to step up and help fill the Gus void.
  23. Sorry CF not interested in heresay this was the allegation that burdened Simon and his family for four years and now it has been put to bed I realise that people who dislike him still have their axes to grind.
  24. CF they said that claims against Simon were proved to be false and that everyone was sorry for the hurt that had been caused to SG and his family.!! Pretty straight forward for mine CF.
  25. Interesting Interview on the MFC website with Nathan Bassett, speaks with confidence, looks fit, professional and self assured has a good range of playing and coaching experience. Should be a good fit for Dees.
