  1. Well Chook you were spot on, congratulations for filling us all with some hope on the future direction of our beloved Club. MFC are really getting their "Ducks" lined up going into 2021, just a few more signatures to ease the anxiety, but this has really lifted my expectations going forward. Thanks Adem for coming home with your great skill set and thanks MFC for recognising a great signing.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I couldn't agree more DeeZee, Jack is the jewel in the crown and now a Dee for life couldn't be happier just looking for a few more signatures to trickle through and my anxiety levels will drop right off Well done Jack and Dee's for getting this done - keep up the great work.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. This just keeps getting better and better, still a number to sign on and I will watch this space anxiously over the coming days, weeks, until we get all our Ducks lined up. Thanks Trent for showing your confidence in the Red & Blue, let's hope it turns to a shared love of our mighty club. Well done Dee's.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Good on you Dee's another quality kid that will be part of our rise up the ladder in 2021 and thanks for the vote of confidence Bayley.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Adem Yze one of our all time favourites, Bring It On............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Well done Dee’s, they have the potential to help us continue our climb up the ladder, quality kids!
  7. Max is an absolute Gun, resilient. Brave and skilled let’s hope that he can maintain his elite ruckman dominance for another five years. What a great player and a great person to boot. Well done Max and Stigga for creating the Thread.!!!
  8. Terrible news for Harley and his family back in WA. The report stated that MFC trying to organise air travel back to WA for Harley. Good luck Harley.
  9. Wow - That bought back some great memories, I was working in Melbourne in 1962 - 63 as a Junior Booking Clerk at Flinders St station (Vic rail), so some of those memories were very relevant and yes the empty streets after 6:00 PM are very close to the mark with our Covid-19 times now. How clean was our city and how smart did we look. I lived in Mont Albert at a boarding house and travelled in and out by train, No Graffittee no feet on seats but you could smoke on the trains!!
  10. Yeah, nah. Me thinks not, Gus, Jack, James, Clayton & Christian are pretty tight and why would you want to split them up???
  11. First off well done Spirit that was a great call way back then and so insightful. Congratulations Christian Petracca on winning your first Keith "Bluey" Truscott Trophy. You have have been a real revelation in 2020, you showed the promising signs in 2017 - 2019 but your confidence in your body and improved fitness and strength have really shown out in 2020. A very worthy winner indeed. Congratulations also to May, Langdon, Viney and Clarry (who I think was a bit stiff). Go Dee's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
  12. Thank you Steven May what an effort in 2020, runner up to Tracc for the B&F, you are exactly what Dee's need down back, your efforts and skill have really stiffened up our back line and have surpassed our expectations in a really nice way. We no longer leak those easy heartbreaking goals that cost games. Your family must be very proud of you as are us Demon supporters.!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. My entire family and I were very upset when Jack was moved on, we all loved what Jack bought to the club and that clip of QB against the Pies and kicking the winning goal on the G in front of 70 thousand screaming Dee & Pie supporters is such a great memory particularly with the theme from Titanic in the background. Good luck Jack with whatever you choose to do in the future.
  14. After reading through all comments and watching us play all year, it's obvious that some Demonlander's have great analytical skills and I agree with a lot that has been put out in this thread, we really need Harmes plus another jet rotating through the middle and develop a better blocking and separation strategy so that we can exploit Clayton and Tracc's clearance dominance through the middle. Melksham isn't the answer. AVB for short stints, I want to see more of Sparrow, Jordon, Rivers, Kossie, Baker & Hunt utilised more and no doubt Jackson & Brown helping Weid in the forward line and if TMac is finished we need to make the hard call sooner rather than later. I also like the call for a genuine mid field coach ala Mitchell, Voss, etc.
  15. Having avidly watched and participated in the voting for Demonland player Of the Year Award all year, the voting reflects a very strong Top 6 and then quite a gap for the 7 - 10 best performers. If we are on the money Jack & Ed will be fighting for 5th spot. But then.!!!!!!
  16. Well the season is over for us, time for the Boys to dust themselves down and reflect on what could have been if we had of been good enough. We are closer now than we were in 2019 but I feel that we are still 4 - 6 players away from being a really good side. It's time now to clear away some of our NQR players and for the recruitment staff to target those missing links that we will need going forward. Like BM mentioned we have found a few potential young guns and Langdon is the star recruit of 2020. Our core group is top class, our back line is now very capable, we have some good forwards but that is our area that needs to be addressed in the off season. Go Dee's..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I think that Langdon got better as the year progressed and he gained his team mates Trust. What a great result though for his first season at the Dee’s.
  18. Today he kicked the ones that he really needed to kick.!
  19. 6 - Gawn 5 - Tracc 4 - Langdon 3 - Salem 2 - Fritsch 1 - May
  20. We are better with Bayley in the side and if he can get his kicking sorted out he will be around for a long time. He takes a lot of hits but always picks himself up and takes some very strong marks at critical times in a game as well as covering a lot of territory. I like what he brings to our side.
  21. Totally agree DP first thing that I do now is turn down the volume so that I don't get angry and demented from the garbage comments...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Sorry I am late 6 - May 5 - Gawn 4 - Langdon 3 - Tracc 2 - Clayton 1 - Rivers ( what a ripper) Then - Spargo, Baker, Salem, Kossie & Lever - Great team effort.
  23. I am looking forward to watching the Top 8 teams playing three games in 9 days up in the far North to see how they manage the travel and fatigue!! Not happening, what do you mean, it is a fair and level draw isn't it, are you suggesting that the MFC are expendable, get out of here, they would never get away with that, Surellllyyyy NOT..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. 6 - Viney 5 - Fritter 4 - Tracc 3 - Rivers 2 - Langdon 1 - Max
  25. It is difficult when everyone had such high expectations for Tracc, the fact that he has reached those lofty expectations is a real credit to Tracc and may they continue for Him, his team mates and all supporters of the Red & Blue. Well done CP5.
