I agree GCDee I like all three of the final contenders but would have a preference for big Matt Eagles, he could fill that spot that we recruited the two King Boy's in to fill and at 26 he would be ready to go. I love the show and don't find Mick or Dicko to hard to listen to, actually like their insights on each of the players. I found Series 2 better than the First as I thought the talent in the second group was superior in a lot of ways than the first group, but if push came to shove I would't mind any of the last three contenders. Just watched the Jayden Hunt interview again when receiving his "Best Young Player" award, he mentioned that Jack Grimes and several coaches got into his ear half way through 2015 and advised him that he better show them (FD) what he can produce if he wanted to stay on the List, a real wake up call also thanked BM for taking him under his wing and turning him into a student of the game. So thanks Jack, Coaches, BM and particularly Jayden for listening and taking it on board because we now have another young star on our list. He is a very confidant and capable young man. Go DEE's!!! PS( I am another public school supporter who spent a lot of my working life taking every opportunity that I could to further educate myself)

Just finished watching all the speeches and I am a bit speechless, we have a very special group of people at our club, the clear message is unity and a determination to become relevant in the AFL world. I can't wait to get back to the Gee next year and watch their further growth as a team and the long awaited progression up the ladder. GO DEE's!!!

I worked last night so watched the posters coming in with great interest - Fantastic Effort Jack Viney a real champion, Captain Courageous Nat Jones, Big Maxxy Gawn what a man, Dom Tyson tireless worker got better and better, Jack Watts arose to the occasion has real mental strength, talent and character. Congratulations to all other recipients. Thanks to all Posters for keeping us all informed as usual, DL is a great place to be when ever there is some MFC / Casey Action going on. GO DEE's, GO Scorp's !!!! Looking forward to seeing Speeches, etc on MFC Web Site

9-11 sounds ominous??

it's hard to be positive when you finish the year with two really bad losses. It has been a strange year with Dunn & Garland, two of our stalwart defenders no longer able to get a game, Dawes & Lumumba falling by the wayside through injury. looking back it has been a watershed year with the changing of the guard. The kids have shown that they can play AFL footy, we won 10 were very close on another 4-5 times. Nat Jones, Bernie Vince, Jack Viney & Big Max were all showing signs of wear and tear after the PA game in Adelaide. We broke a few more hoo dood's, in games that count. We have a talented list of young players that Can Play AFL, they will continue to grow and improve. Our leaders will lick their wounds and come back stronger than before and we will break some more hoo doo's next year and beat more teams that we have struggled to compete against in the past, we could be playing Finals if this team lives up to expectations, it could be a second coming of our '87 & '98 teams who possessed both the talent and the belief. We need the FD to bring in another 3-4 players that can improve our overall list for an extended run of Finals Footy, hopefully culminating in a FLAG!!! GO DEE's!!!

Well done MFC FD, with another pre-season will come confidence in his own body, we already know that he has a strong mind and the sort of qualities that can only help to speed up the growth of our very young and talented group. Good on you FD and Good on you Jack!! - Go Dee's!!!

I agree with you all we are a better team with Cam in than we are with him out of the side. He deserves another year and when you take a closer look he hasn't played that much footy, so his body should hold up . On another note , I was very happy for Jack Fitzpatrick today, we should have kept him.!!!!

I concur with a lot of the Posters on Demonland what a really crap way to end a half decent year. Thank you Paul Roos you have shown us what we are capable off, unfortunately the kids are cooked and so are we supporters. GO Casey!!!

My daughter and I were sitting in almost the same seats as the Essendon game in the Ponsford Stand, you could tell in the first five minutes that the Blue baggers were playing us in the same manner as the Bombers and Saints, hard at us in the middle, nullifying Gawn and putting our mid's on the back foot. They were clean with their hands and kicked to moving targets. They scored easier goals and showed up our inexperience around the ground, they received the free kicks that they should have received and we did not. later in the game we had the opportunities to peg them back but continued to hit up their back men (standing by themselves in our forward line??) or kicked point after point after point. It was difficult to watch after coming off our best month of Footy in almost ten years. It was an insipid display for A TEAM THAT HAD A "SNIFF". I Love the Dee's but found this Defeat very difficult to accept. Go Dee's!!!!

Call me crazy but I am glad Hurley stayed, another overpaid under performer could damage the "chemistry" that we have going with the two Mac's and Frost. More to lose than gain in my opinion and if Hibberd is keen to come over who's spot does he take??
