I found it a very frustrating game, our turn overs were so damn wasteful, when you mark on the 50m mark why would you kick back wards or side wards?? Probably Bernie's worst game of his entire career, glad that he got that out of his system!! on a brighter note we Won, Jack Watts was fantastic and we held them scoreless for the last 9 minutes of the game if only just. We would have lost this game last year!! - GO DEE's

Thanks Pitmaster appreciate your Training report and good to see that the coaches are changing it up a bit and thanks for all other posters comments. I don't think that we need jacko giving advice but certainly impressed with his goal kicking comments. It's a shame that Yze or Neita aren't available to work with the team or Brad Green for that matter they were all excellent users of the ball, what about Robbo he could always snag a goal when needed and from every angle and distance. I forgot how good he was until I re-watched the game at Simmonds where he kicked 7 on 2005!! Thanks again - Go Dee's!!!

I have the day off and just watched the game again, so many wasted opportunities and half chances, our positioning, tackling and pressure acts had the Eagles under immense pressure. If the boys could have lowered their eyes in some instances and just taken the kick on goal in others we could have won the game and broken another Hoodoo. But alas we weren't able to take advantage of all the hard work our boy's bought to the game. However, If we can Keep This Team Together, they are going to be Something Special. GO DEE'S!!!

Like many on Demonland I have always loved having Jack at Melbourne, i never doubted that JW would one day be one of our most important players, he has always shown himself to be one of our best human beings. He made no bones about not looking around to see what else was on offer. I am so happy for Jack and us Dee supporters. - Go Dee's Good on you JW.

All time favourite 2000 qualifying final vs Blues, Brad Green Cam Bruce were epic that day, we were eccstatic we sang Grand Old Flag over and over again. Second place goes to 1998 Season where we came from no where and could have won the flag with a bit of luck, we were awesome!!!

Thanks for those stats WJ greatly appreciated as always, looks like we had some pretty good efforts against the Dog's, losing by a point is a real bummer, but enough efforts there to allow for a bit of a freshen up against the weagles if the coaches want to go that way. Maybe Spencer in to give Gawn'y a chop out and rotate forward and Dunn or Garland to help out down back?? The Eagles are Bigger and Stronger than us and can play the game for 4 quarters, our only hope is to kick a lot of goals early on and then pray for rain... !! I would be studying the tape from Blues v Eagles game, they managed to limit their forward line damage and put them under pressure. Otherwise it will be death by a 1,000 cuts and very hard to watch!!! Go Dee's

I agree t_u there were about 8 players that were well down yesterday and I thought that White was probably the worst, looked totally lost in the second half, i can only hope that the Darwin trip took it out of them more than the coaches believed. we just don't seem to be able to get any of our senior players out on the ground. What has happened to Dunn and Garland, Pedo & Lumumba, Why have they fallen off so quickly, it beggar's description not to mention Dawes!!

unfortunately the Saints have our number and have worked out the best strategy to beat us, we got very very close last year but they always find ways to exploit our weaknesses and I thought that they just teamed better than us after the 1st quarter. They just Expected to win the contest and the Game and they did. Their Feral supporters were baying for blood and they certainly got that in spades. Go Dee's

What a great first half quite scintillating at times, forwards on top, mids on top and defence well and truly on top. TMac & Grimes exceptional games. The boys took their best shots and ground it out in the 3rd & 4th quarters. Another two hoodoo's down. Go Dee's!!!

Couldn't agree more, he reads the ball so well and cuts off a lot of oppo attacks. Coughs it up a bit but is getting better each week, he can take a knock as well!! Go Jayden!! Go Dee's

Unfortunately my family & I will be up in Mildura for a Xmas in July with the Rello's this weekend and will miss our first home game for the year. The mid field battle will decide the outcome of this game we need to win this battle so the Crow's don't get quick delivery into their forward's and we need someone, any one to stay back in their forward fifty. If you look at their bottom eight Vs our bottom eight there is plenty of scope for change, plus we played 7 genuine talls yesterday in swampy conditions? A two week rest will do them all a lot of good but think that Harmes, Garlett and ANB should come in, I would leave Gus in VFL to fully regain confidence and fitness. - Go Dee's

We had the same amount of inside 50's as last week and managed just 11 shots on goal. I think that sums up our game and what is up with Nev that's three poor ones in a row. I expected him to do well in those conditions? Swans have been training in these conditions for weeks!! But that's no excuse, not much to say really disAppointed.
