Usually after a loss I always go to the Stats and look at our lowest ranked 6-8 players, this is the first time I have bothered this year but we had 8 of the 15 lowest ranked players and that says it all. Our best 14 couldn’t drag us over the line because on the day our bottom eight acted as anchors. We need to be a bit ruthless next week maybe Lockhart, Sparrow and hopefully Christian Salem come in. Go Dee’s...!!!!!

When we were 16 points up I couldn’t understand why we didn’t maintain possession more just slow the game down and control the ball because at that stage of the game they had the run of the ball, Salem would have provided that control and coolness that we lacked tonight. Nev wasn’t the answer as it altered and slowed down our backline structure to much. Hell to go down like that by one point was just so disappointing.

I have enjoyed the replay far better than actual game, apart from the umpiring decisions and commentators barracking for the Blues, BT in particular l was extremely proud of our team today. Our A graders all stood up and we’re well supported by our second echelon experienced players but I was even prouder of our young group of Spargo, Rivers, Picket, Jordon, Petty and Chandler, what a tough talented group we had out on the park today. 9-0 So proud of our Team. go Dee’s.!!!!

dl4e confidence flows from belief in yourself, your teammates, coaches and Club and a Winning Culture. The players are driving this culture and our supporters have not yet fully embraced this massive change but as our confidence grows the traction with supporter members will grow.

Despicable is making observations and I must admit that at the start of the year I thought what the hell is going on with the team, I watched and re-watched games to try and get a handle on why we all of a sudden clicked as a team. I think that Deespicables observations have helped to explain the quantum leap in performance and for that I say Thanks.

CHF I love your Magoo of Umpires summed them up perfectly, jeez 8 goals is a big call but I am on your Bandwagon and anything is possible. My wife reckons we should go with virtual umpires watching a screen and advising the umps on the ground.!!!

We are in the enviable position of having Weid, Sparrow, Chandler, Bedford & Bowery ready in the wings as well as a core of mature players in Jetta, Jones, Brown & Daw who can readily fill any gaps that may open up due to injury or drop in form and as Bimbo has pointed out we have a break between the Lions game and again after Queens Birthday game. What a great position to be in.
