2020 Player Reviews: #34 Marty Hore
Get Marty fit and out on the track at 190 cm just under 6"3" in old terms he needs to add a couple of kg's of muscle on his frame so that he has the strength to match it with those stronger mid size forwards going around, he is also brave and tough and quite a good mark. I am glad that they kept you Marty Hore.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2020 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett
I really like what I have seen so far, he is tough and has a spark, the opposition try to flatten him at every opportunity so I guess that shows a bit of respect in a funny sort of way.If he stays out of harms way he will be a real win for our selectors. Go Kossie.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nathan Jones Locked in for 2021
I just hope that Jones"y gets to his 300th this year and provides a bit of grunt and leadership in the process, otherwise if he misses the mark I feel sure that he can bring a lot towards the development of our younger brigade. Show them Nathan Jones............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeff White Reflects on 2000
I must admit nosoupforme that Whitey was one of my favourites when he burst onto the scene in 1998 he gave us so much drive out of the centre and the 2000 qual final against the Blues is my all time favourite game of the modern era, I have watched it a dozen times over the years. No one gave us a chance and 21 points down at 3/4 time, enter Brad Green, Cam Bruce and Adem Yze and a supercharged midfield and the Blues had no chance. Jeff White is a quite impressive speaker and his warmth for the MFC and his former team mates is a real treat.

2020 Keith "Bluey" Truscott Trophy
I think that you are right Swooper, we picked our best 6 on Demonland and this played out on "Bluey" Truscott Night and Brownlow Medal night it was just the player order that changed, I felt that Clayton and Max were in the right order after Tracc and having 3 players in the top 11 was very satisfying.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lynden Dunn has Retired
I remember at the family Day when Lynden and Mathew Bate were introduced to those attending as the future stars of the Melbourne Football club. They both played some good footy for us and I wonder how much better it could have been for Dunney if we had have had a really strong development program in place for our newbies. SIGH.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well done Lynden.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Petracca From Dream to Reality
It feels like Tracc has grown into a man and an elite athlete before our very eyes in the past 18 months, what a brilliant year he has had. let's hope that those closest to him are also inspired to follow his leadership over the next couple of years, we could become awesome. Well done Christian Petracca. !!!!!

Brad Green on Board?
I think that this decision reflects a lot of Demonland opinion that we want to see more Melbourne people Involved in the running of our club. Come on Greeny get on board, you are a great choice.!!!!!

Life in Australia - Melbourne 1966
Wow - That bought back some great memories, I was working in Melbourne in 1962 - 63 as a Junior Booking Clerk at Flinders St station (Vic rail), so some of those memories were very relevant and yes the empty streets after 6:00 PM are very close to the mark with our Covid-19 times now. How clean was our city and how smart did we look. I lived in Mont Albert at a boarding house and travelled in and out by train, No Graffittee no feet on seats but you could smoke on the trains!!

Oliver Rumours on Footy Classified
Yeah, nah. Me thinks not, Gus, Jack, James, Clayton & Christian are pretty tight and why would you want to split them up???
-
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRISTIAN PETRACCA
First off well done Spirit that was a great call way back then and so insightful. Congratulations Christian Petracca on winning your first Keith "Bluey" Truscott Trophy. You have have been a real revelation in 2020, you showed the promising signs in 2017 - 2019 but your confidence in your body and improved fitness and strength have really shown out in 2020. A very worthy winner indeed. Congratulations also to May, Langdon, Viney and Clarry (who I think was a bit stiff). Go Dee's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
-
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Thank you Steven May what an effort in 2020, runner up to Tracc for the B&F, you are exactly what Dee's need down back, your efforts and skill have really stiffened up our back line and have surpassed our expectations in a really nice way. We no longer leak those easy heartbreaking goals that cost games. Your family must be very proud of you as are us Demon supporters.!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jack Watts Retires
My entire family and I were very upset when Jack was moved on, we all loved what Jack bought to the club and that clip of QB against the Pies and kicking the winning goal on the G in front of 70 thousand screaming Dee & Pie supporters is such a great memory particularly with the theme from Titanic in the background. Good luck Jack with whatever you choose to do in the future.

What is the solution to this problem?
After reading through all comments and watching us play all year, it's obvious that some Demonlander's have great analytical skills and I agree with a lot that has been put out in this thread, we really need Harmes plus another jet rotating through the middle and develop a better blocking and separation strategy so that we can exploit Clayton and Tracc's clearance dominance through the middle. Melksham isn't the answer. AVB for short stints, I want to see more of Sparrow, Jordon, Rivers, Kossie, Baker & Hunt utilised more and no doubt Jackson & Brown helping Weid in the forward line and if TMac is finished we need to make the hard call sooner rather than later. I also like the call for a genuine mid field coach ala Mitchell, Voss, etc.
