  1. Cheers Comrade Ruski Thanks for the update. Max was allways going to be a long term option. Hopefully he can recover 100% from this in the next 12-16 months
  2. Hello, I just read KC from Casey tread and saw this Young ruckman Max Gawn suffered a setback when he strained a medial ligament in his knee. Any info for us. Is it the same knee? How bad? Good luck to the big boy. Hopefully he can come back again.......
  3. Go you demons............
  4. go scorps what a great win. Miller time!!!!! Thanks KC for the updates. Your a champ
  5. Blease is in the Firsts...... Thats great news. Hopefully we see some of his pace and skills. Good luck young man.
  6. I reckon a decent weights room might be of use aswell
  7. After watching Jordie punch the Shi'ite outta a speed ball on The nude nut's Twitter I was wondering has the little period of success aligned itself with us moving into the new training facilities at AAMI. I am not sure the date of the move I think it was around end of June. Anyway since then our results were Respectable loss to the saints Smashed the dongers for three quarters Had a bad start and almost ran over the dockers Smashed the swannies Won on the road to the bears So in the 5-7 week they have been in AAMI there has been a steady growth in performance. There are loads of other factors that could affect this analysis such as fixture etc which are not related. Also we have been nearly injury free during that period which might associate with better recovery facilities. Anyway, Since I have a warm belly since we are back in the black, I thought I would post to see if anyone else thinks that the new facilities are making any difference to the team.
  8. Back in the Black Go you demons. Check list debt - Demolished young exiciting squad - check finals bound - Maybe Flag - ...................... Bring it on Go demons
  9. Check him hit the speed ball Jones says he is the best in the club. He is going to be on tough nut Smash em Jordie
  10. From rumours Col "likes" the ladies......so now with 100 games under his belt for the red and blue I say "Colin.....go spread your seed far and wide"........... But seriously, think of his improvement over the 100 games. Now think what we will be like when Scully, Trengove, Watts, Grimes, Morton, McKensie, Tapscott, Blease (fingers crossed), Frawely, Garland, Bennell, Wonna, Jurrah, Pettard, Giz (you can add a load more names here) all get around the 80-100 game mark....... Go you demons. Well done Col for this milestone....your playing your best footy hopefully your next 100 games will get better and better.
  11. Win win statement by Voss. If they win he can say that the rolled the up and coming. If they lose he can say they are the new superpower and make a slide comment about priority picks. Puts the pressure on us. Every demon media engagement for the next week will start, "voss thinks you’re the next superpower blah blah blah" and our response "one game at a time" Smoke and mirrors to take the flame away from his ass and his terrible drafting choices. I hope Joel M smashes the bears this week. Coaching 101 straight from the Sheedy handbook
  12. From Scott West Cale Morton: It was a tough job for Cale. Some games are better than any training or talking you’re going to have and this was one for Cale. It would’ve been a great learning curve for Cale to play on a dual Brownlow Medalllist in Adam Goodes. He competed hard and I don’t know if he won the duel in the end, but he did the job for us. Cale was able to get off Goodes and kick two goals. Although Goodes had a bit of the footy and kicked four goals, it was a good duel.
  13. Along the same lines..... I thought it might off meant "IM BACK!!!"
  14. By the way these photo's are awesome (Thanks AFL site)
  15. Can someone tell me what this means!!!! He looked pretty good today. Love to seem him fit like preseason 2009
  16. Still high from yesterday’s performance. Great to have a win like that We need to stop all this finals talk. What we need to talk about is a platform to launch from next year and into the future. Games like that will give the players the belief to mess it with any team. What we need now is a few more wins like that before the end of the year. So over summer when the boys are in Bali or surfing or not eating Turtle they can have something to hold onto. Something they can buy into. Then get a good preseason into those young bodies and manage our injuries well and launch into 2011. Go you demons...........
  17. I usually avoid the kinda conversations as they are usually pointless. But I am sucked into this one Anyway in My opinion Cale did a good job today. When they played in the Guts and up the ground he had the motor to run with goodes and ran off him to push forward. He got some good touches and limited goodes to have minimal impact through the centre. So as any good coach should do, Roos move him closer to goal where his bigger body and better skills in the air could pay off. And it did with junk time goals. But Bailey instead of putting a harder backman on Goodes let Morton learn some lessons. 1. When to put body contact on. 2. He needs more upper body strength to match it with a guy like Goodes 3. Learnt how to work your way back into a game if beaten in a different position 4. And the most import ......that Bailey has some faith in him. I am pretty sure Bailey would be pretty happy with Cale’s game. This is the development we need from Cale to take the next step. Also no one has seemed to mention that Jones kept Kirk to Zero impact while slotting a couple of important goals.
  18. he has got a game this week, Hopefully he takes his chance and puts pressure on, snags a couple, shows of his skills and puts his head over the ball. Go Maric..............Go you demons
  19. Thought I would revisit this tread from earlier in the year. on the money were Furious D with Jamar.......nice work Yenks pulled out a nice pick in McKenzie and roost it is almost Nostradamus with some of his calls. Hats off to you. Break out year in would have to Jamar, Scully/Trenners, Ricky bobby (before injury), McKenzie, Bennell (in patches), Chip.....anyone else?
  20. Im sure the coaching staff has told him to work on certian parts of his game. I have no idea what these are. When these get ticked I am sure he might bob up for a game or two. Just hope he takes this chance as our forward line is getting pretty full. Small forward postion: Bennell Wona Jetta Maric anyone else? Also we might see more davey in the role in a couple of years
