I never intended to make this thread into a Salem v Freeman and I don't think it should be.. I just want to know how Salem is progressing so far this summer.

How is Jayden Hunts progress going?

How is this kid going so far this Pre Season? Anyone think he will crack a game this year?? I must admit I wasn't too keen on the idea of picking up Salem at Pick 9 but now he is a Melbourne player I will support him all the way. I have full faith we will develop out kids much better now.

Cmon Saty.. just because he limped off doesn't mean he is all good. As DT stated have played out games only to find out structional damage and miss a year.

I agree in regards to Bail. Don't rate him as a footballer. turns it over way too much and doesn't find enough of the ball. The club should have tapped him on the shoulder last year for his own health and safety.

Yeah because he has done sweet FA all year you know, the travelling from Sydney to Melbourne every week for Fox and then non stop working his backside off since becoming our coach. Fair Dinkum the guy has had No family time probably all year due to his commitments, and all he ask is a bit of extra weeks holiday to soak up as much family time as possible before he embarks in one of the games biggest challenges I turning this club around. Yep 3km time trial. Roos wont be there for atleast a week and a half im pretty sure. On a holiday trip with his family to Africa im pretty sure..

Rory Taggert is playing for Sturt in the SANFL aswell.. Not sure about Nathan Stark if he is back at Glenelg. Its amazing where Jordan Gysberts football journey has now resulted in playing suburban league.. Came to Melbourne at pick 9, 26 disposals debut against the cats and, Told to work harder, didn't listen and now look where he is. Some blokes are just not cut for AFL. Brad Green was spot on when he made a comment after he retired that too many players on our list relied only on talent to get them through.. Takes more then just talent.

Mclean, Bate, Jones, Sylvia, Bell... after that night i thought these guys were our future to lead us forward.. I really thought Mclean was going to be a genuine superstar. Travis Johnstone is right up there with Davey as one of the best kicks i have ever seen. I do miss the Daniher years.

I really thought it was the end of the world.

Neeld should never have dropped him after that round 1 incident.. completely sapped all his confidence for the year. NC could have dropped toumpas after that Brissy game but stuck fat and gave the kid more confidence and he played out the year well.
