  1. No you can scoot along now you have had your 2 cents worth, as WJ said this is a thread dedicating to a fantastic footballer and bloke. I am sure there are many more on here who want to write a tribute still.
  2. Dude seriously.. none of what you want is gonna happen.. that bit is called reality. Theres no speculation at all. Dangerfield is a cat, Treloar is a pie / tiger.. Dont know how much clear you want us to paint the picture.
  3. While we are looking at spuds like Melksham we are just letting Aaron Hall tour Essendons facilities with obviously intent to seriously look at this guy..
  4. LOL Ok Barry Prendergast
  5. You named Wellingham who was a soft vanilla spud at Collingwood, who was struggling for consistency and attitude was questioned at times during his last couple of years at collingwood. He is now playing career best football and now an important memeber for their.Jamie cripps wanted to go home but he was in and out of the side. A cast off and now in their best 22 in that half forward role. We have turned Jeff Garletts career around aswell and sometimes a fresh start is all he needs. Bastinacs first couple of years were pretty impressive and his stats prove that. But with North bringing outside players like Dal Santo and Higgins he has been pushed out. We need experience midfielders to run through the midfield and spread hard and thats what Bastinac brings. He is a massive upgrade on Melksham no doubt. And your comment on him being soft is a cop out. We wouldn't be bringing him in to be a crash and bash player we have enough inside grunt players to feed it out to the likes of him on the outside to use his gut run and spread.
  6. Anyone heard anything about him staying around? I know after the gws game he said he would make his decision a couple of weeks later. With brad miller gone you would think its ripe for the taking there.
  7. I dont think we can afford to go down this track of picking up guys with less then 10 games next to them. The Riley experiment didn't work but i am more then happy to have Newton and Michie on board again as they add good depth. I rate Michie highly and really think there is a spot for him next year if he has a good summer. His last 5 weeks he averaged 20 disposals which is not bad at all. The last game i thought Newton looked quite dangerous for us up forward. He reads it off the packs well and you have to admit 11 goals from 11 games is a pretty good effort. He definitely knows where the big sticks are. Another big pre season and who knows.
  8. My honest opinion is i would put him in the same boat as Malceski, Lumumba, Byrnes boat. These players are made to look good with a strong team around them but struggle big time when reality kicks in and they are in a bottom 8 team because their teammates around them aren't as good. So in other words... NO
  9. There are rumours and talk on the North board on bigfooty (i know i know...) that we are into Ryan Bastinac. Personally I'd much rather him than Melksham. Go look at Bastinacs stats and its superior to his. His career best is a wopping 44 disposals and 2 goals against GWS. That's elite Plays inside and out and is a gut runner who spreads really hard our of the contest, something we have lacked over the years. Probably fell out a bit this year due to the inclusion of Higgins. But it's a big yes from me. I'd offer the supposed deal meant for Melksham to this bloke.
  10. Thanks GD.. If only...
  11. Christ..And what happens if he doesn't want to come to us?
  12. Port want picks not players.
  13. Yes it is odd considering at the time Jay Clark announced it he mentioned Ed Curnow and toumpas would sign in the same week. Turns out only Curnow has and nothing in Toump.
  14. Good on jordie will no doubt have surban/VFL clubs lining up for his signature. Heck im gonna pester my own club to get onto him!
  15. Lol ok mate...
  16. Bernie Vince had his birthday bash last night 80s dress up theme. Just saw on Chris Dawes instagram that he is dressed up as Paull Roos in his Fitzroy days lol.
  17. Mate I have spent time living in Adelaide. The rival is one of the most fierce I have seen. Between players and supporters.
  18. Got mail for you. Danger is off to Geelong. Move on ..
  19. Watch for the pitchforks come out baying for blood on here when Danger announces his off to Geelong.
  20. There is no way Hartlett would crossover to another Adelaide team.I'd back us to be more of a chance then the Crows.
  21. Id rather offer that to Hogan instead.
  22. Why wouldn't he? A lot of Geelong's players are still based in Melbourne who drive down the highway. No difference.
  23. Cheers for the breaking news captain obvious...lol
  24. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/afl-trade-news-its-now-patrick-dangerfields-decision-say-waiting-geelong-cats-20150919-gjqe2t.html Sorry to rain in on the parade.. Dangerfield's manager Paul Connors has said his client is only considering the Crows and Geelong, with the Cats' home base 55 minutes from his home town of Moggs Creek.
