You'll risk more injury going into round 1 with no match fitness at all. Regardless of the results its important majority of players and most important the guys who have interrupted summers get a good match fitness behind them in prep for round 1.

Id like to get excited about Max King especially when i saw him kick a bag in a practice match for the bushies. But reality is he has missed a fair chunk of this pre season and im worried that will really hinder him.

Hes had 8 years on a AFL list for a return of 35 games. Nothing but a list clogger. I hate going back to the Neeld days, but i laugh at how quick he was to get rid of Stefan Martin yet we kept Spencer... Thank god those days are way behind us.

I watched the whole game and his possession definitely did NOT impact the game at all. I am a Toumpas fan but he has completely no hurt factor whatsoever.. most his possessions were dinky little hand passes. He was one of the more senior player and i thought with 12 of their best players out he would stand up but he failed to do so. He will unfortunately struggle this year.

Its quite scary that an 18 year old is already bigger then a 5th year season AFL midfielder.. Could see him filling out into a Josh Kennedy type body when he gets more Pre Seasons into him.

Played well tonight and showed that might actually flourish at the Hawks. Took a fantastic contested mark and was quite competitive. Hope he does well at Hawthorn. I was one that wasn't happy we got rid of but hope he really does well at the hawks.

Turned up to pre season overweight and poor condition. Improved his fitness but was barely sighted in the intra club match.

We turned Garlett around. Its a risk but that why some clubs are willing to take those risks because of the potential. We saw that with Garlett. Btw does anyone know what pick Richmond gave up for Yarran?
