Spot on. Unlike those 3 Toump was actually a hard trainer who did everything possible rright to become a good AFL. As you put it sometimes its just unfortunate luck with injuries tgat stall some of these players. He is the type of kid that you want around the footy club. I wish him nothing but success at port.

Hasn't stopped Robbie Gray Matthew Richardson and James Hird from continuing on to have great careers or even better form after career threatening foot injuries. Our very own Viv Michie missed nearly 2 years of footy because of a stress fracture in the same foot and the reports were that he may not make it back. He is now fit and healthy and has proved to be a really good depth player. So yes people do have the right to believe it because its happened plenty of times in the past. Your negative ego is seriously getting the better of you. Its quite sad your putting all your energy into hoping Trengove doesn't make it back at all which i personally think is disgraceful.

It will be interesting with Parish. Didn't test overly well in terms of speed or endurance and being 180cm and slight i think the player id compare him to his basically Lewis Taylor without the speed and endurance that Taylor has. Like Taylor, Parish in the games i have watched seem to only kick short little 25m passes and doesn't seem to really influence games much. Will win alot of the ball and rack up 22-25 disposal a game but i dont think he has the hurt factor at all. When i watched Oliver last year his playing style was so similar to Luke Parker where he is such a brute around the contest and his contested marking and courage in the air was so impressive! Luke Parker or Lewis Taylor? Hmmm....

H was over there during the OFF SEASON for a wedding with his family and missed 4 days into the new season. Club has absolutely no problem with it and for your information Lumumba has been doing a mountain of work off the field in trying to get his body right. He has already identified that his 2015 was not good enough and is now working hard to prove himself. FMD..

Not having a go at the OP but this isn't even threadworthy. He did something that happens everyday and i am sure most of us have had Visa mishaps or passport complications. Typical scum media who have nothing better then to dramatize a very small issue. What annoys me even more and why i have a pure hatred for media is that this also opens up unnecessary criticism on Lumumba on social media because of his past. The Age are a sick joke.

And in the Sanfl for Sturt seniors. Who could forget his 29 disposal and heroic saving mark in the dying minutes of the prelim final in the gold square.

I think we all forget just how seriously good Trengove looked in 2010-2011. Was one of the most impressive young players in the comp and was destined to become an absolute star until Neeld ruined him. People rave about Brayshaw's first year but Trengove was just as good and even better. If Trengove miraculously got that form back i have no doubt we will play finals.

12 is not heaps for a small forward. Out of the 7 senior games he played that game was the highest possession tally he got. He only averaged about 8 disposal a game. Also If your going to be a small forward you need to have good forward pressure and tackling and again out of 7 games he only had 11 tackles with 2 games where he didn't register a tackle at all. He has a long way too go. Even if he does have a full pre season i just cannot see him making an impact at senior level.

Only time will tell. If he proves to be an absolute gun il be the first to throw my hand up and cop my fair wack. The fact that he really struggles to win more then 10 disposal a game is a real worry, yes i understand he has been injured also. Someone put out a stat the other day about how outside players who struggle to win the footy on the outside tend to translate that into AFL level and their careers are not as successful at all as what it was at junior level. The biggest strength is his speed obviously which is we lack. With where the game is going you need to be able to run both ways and actually win the footy to be able to make an impact. Personally i can't see him making it but hopefully with now a full pre season he comes out all guns blazing.

Just on Oliver the couple of games o saw the bushies play obviously he dominated. He definitely was alot pudgy compared to what he is now and even back then he had a good burst of speed when he could win a stoppage and just burst out of the contest. For a kid that was carrying weight i was quite surprised and impressed he actually had decent pace. Now that he is trimmed right down and toned up i expect his pace to really go up a notch now to the point where who knows maybe it might be Dangerfield like.. A 187cm 86kg Beast of a midfielder bursting out of packs is something i have seriously craved for a long time.

Trent Cotchin is the most overated playerin the AFL. His leadership is putrid and hasn't even gotten a kick in last 2 years finals. It was an absolute joke that he got air time in last months superstar segment on Fox Footy. Please.. Give me the lion hearted Nathan Jones every day.
