I for the life of me can not see why anyone would ever want step foot into North Melbourne. Most bland and boring football club going around! They rarely attract big crowds, they have a coach who is nothing but a A Grade Phlog, they have no brand and stand for nothing! No mention of Melbourne whatsoever. I've said this before, I'd be very surprised if we were chasing after a banged up 27 year whos only just going to get slower and has off field issues.. Goes against the morals our club is known for.

I watched this kid do some ball work with Daniel Cross the other week and when it came to the kicking, he was kicking low flat 30m bullets straight onto Crossy.. not only was his kicking hitting targets with ease, but he had such a fluent kicking action. They did one drill where he would have his back towards Cross and then whistle would blow and he would spin around and nail a 30m kick each time. Dont remember him missing a target at all. I know he's years away from being AFL ready, but he's definitely got the right tool set to succeed if he wants it. Very bullish, but quietly reckon we have a good prospect on our hands.

In his under 18's days he was known to have quality leader credentials. Opportunity for him now to really grab that with both hands now Viney will miss a few weeks. Could really stamp himself in the league over these next few top sides.

I know hes just started playing WAFL level after having foot issues, but I'd sign Eric Mckenzie from West Coast on a 1 year deal. While we have Lever out, we need a hardened experience defender who can add leadership down back. Former best and fairest winner at the eagles and was Co Captain at some stage also. 196cm 100kg key back who would be handy until Lever comes back and Petty develops.
