  1. Thank you.Keep forgetting some are a bit sensitive here..
  2. Put your football hat for a second and tell where else you can see Bail play other then half forward... that half forward was his role last year and Vanders has that role stiched up already.
  3. No it doesn't please me. But its the truth. That half forward role that Bail has been playing has now been taken by Vandenberg. He made such a big contribution in that one game more then Bail in his whole career. I like Bail but if you cant see that he is finished your delusional.
  4. He just ended Rohan Bails career.
  5. "I felt sorry for them" "They are such professionals" "soft spot for them now"
  6. Speaking of Magner what an absolute [censored] that bloke is.If anyone have read his recent HS article you will know why.
  7. The boys love him and is very well respected amongst coaching staff and playing. His playing style yesterday reminded me so much of Max Rooke who use to be that battering ram half forward who just puts enormous pressure on forward stoppages and also that physicality that he could run through the contest. Several times he ran from the half forward line into the center to put a body on the contest in the center bounces. Again a huge lad!
  8. Solid lad alright.Just needs a bit more conditioning and he will be a serious unit for a midfielder.
  9. Happened right before the 2012 under 18s championships. After his last game for SA he had the operation.
  10. The feeling i got from her sister and the way she explained was basically Melbourne had their sights on Toumpas all along. They made the odd call here and there to Wines but didn't show the desperate interest like Hawthorn and St Kilda.Port said that if he was still available they would select him as they rated him top 3. They were gobsmacked and ecstatic he fell through. They really did think he was heading to the Dees.. The Wines family were devastated he was going interstate especially to Port after the off season drama. Ollie was too. He really did want to play for the Dees. The Wines Family and Ollie are now extremely delighted with how its pan out now. Port are a family club and cant speak highly enough of Koshie and Hinkley. Dont expect him to return back home anytime soon.
  11. The fact is the papers were writing what an absolute combo Wines and Viney would make to our midfield. We were lacking in the inside midfield department and we all could see that. I remember at the time i made a comment that i could see Wines being our Dustin Martin. He was AFL ready and at the time we needed that.. Todd Viney got this one wrong not Neeld.
  12. For all the [censored] Neeld copped on here it seems he was right on this one.
  13. Funny you mention this.. mentioned here before i spoke to Wines sister at a sports function up my way. She is a journalist. I asked her the question about weather Melbourne really did have a strong interest. She said that it was actually Mark Neeld who was the most keen. While the club showed interest in Oliver it already told them that If Toumpas was available they would select him over his brother. They believe he had more upside and the fact he already played against men was a big factor. Hawthorn and St kilda were the two clubs that had made alot of trips up to Echuca to interview him. Mark Neeld was a big fan of Wines and kept in close contact with him before the draft. At the end of the day he left it up to Todd for the final call.
  14. But i never said he will be better then Wines. Im saying that he will still be a good player for us down the track. Its people like you that are willing to write him off completely which history have shown on here that its far too early to tell. The whole Wines v Toumpas is stupid. We could have had had Zaharakaz instead of Blease. Sloane instead of Bennell and Fyfe instead of Gysberts.. [censored] happens hey? For me im still going to back him in until he is traded or delisted. The glimpse he showed against WB got me excited.
  15. No just not losing the faith as many are on here. The glimpse i saw against WB showed if he can put it all together he can become a handy footballer for us. He is obviously a confidence player. If we can continue to hold on to players like Mckenzie and Watts for so many years then Toump deserves a bit of time aswell. If you think im delusional your kidding yourself. Aren't you the one that thinks Stef Martin is still a spud and we made the right choice getting rid of him?? Now thats delusional right there.
  16. You certainly don't speak on my behalf.
  17. Il be honest, I was trying to sugar coat it...
  18. Only research I could find was that he was a prop for Xavier college in their rugby team. Having played rugby before, to be a prop you are generally have to be one of the strongest guys in the team with powerful legs to push against and have thick necks. If its true he is seriously considering his footy options and all goes well, we could be treated to a pretty powerful athlete in terms of body strength and power.
  19. If anyone wants a laugh head over to the Saints bigfooty. They have gone from calling him their saviour to rubbishing him and calling him fat and useless LOL
  20. Apparently the club put on a clinic for Christians mum whos birthday it was on draft night :-D
  21. What an absolute belter of an interview. These guys just rolled off each other looked genuine excited to be together and playing for the Melbourne Football Club. Lot of laughing and banter between em just love it. Thats what footys all about.Compare it to the dull and snooze fest interviews Scully and Trengove gave together couple of years ago.
  22. Where do you get your sources from?
