Darren Burgess officially our new fitness coach.
The age understands the Dees are parting ways with several members of the club’s fitness and conditioning department, including head physiotherapist Sam Pietsch, who has been at Melbourne for more than a decade. While the moves coincide with the arrival of former Port Adelaide high performance chief Burgess - who is returning to Australia from a stint with English Premier League club Arsenal - it’s believed they are not directly the result of him joining the Demons. https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp.brisbanetimes.com.au/sport/afl/dees-make-more-changes-to-high-performance-department-20190812-p52gds.html

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Honestly do you lot just say these names just for the sake of it? Is this also the same Jacob Townsend that registered riverting 3 disposals for the whole game in his last game for against Geelong couple of weeks ago. Sorry but he is an even bigger spud. Did the old Mitch Morton 'hit a rich vein of form at the perfect time' back in the 2017 finals run. The true definition of a dud.

Is the pre-season camp debacle still relevant?
Load of rubbish, please don't make assumptions on things you actually have no clue of.

Is the pre-season camp debacle still relevant?
A camp that was supposed to happened nearly 2 years ago is now effecting our performance?? Wait what? What effect did the camp make when we knocked off Hawthorn on our way to a prelim? It was all quite on that front hey. This is getting too funny. We have far bigger issues like lack of skill level and injuries that havr killed us this year plus poor coaching.

POSTMATCH: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Honestly I would take JKH ahead of ANB in a heart beat. In fact I'd trade ANB back to SA and keep JKH and put Stretch on the rookie list. JKH would have played a lot more games this year had it not been for his knee injury, and I think based on his last 2 games the club haven't exactly put a line through his name and really want to give him a chance to prove himself and so far the last 2 games he hasn't put a foot wrong. Stretch is another who just hasn't had a clear run at it for the past 2 years due to injury.

POSTMATCH: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Melksham would want to improve over the summer because that was plain disgusting of game from Melksham. Reminded me of the days where he was a genuine spud. I am also a bit funny on Hannan, while I too like what he brings, he doesn't win enough of the ball across the half forward line and far too often goes missing when we need him to step up. Needs a HUGE summer.

POSTMATCH: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Its an interesting one. I am more intrigued on how a fully fit Tom McDonald, Sam Weideman and Bayley Fritsch and even throw a Harrison Petty will all function next year? Weideman, McDonald and Fritta never once played forward together this year.. at all. I also named Petty because in my eyes he is definitely worth training with the forwards over the pre season. He has got vice like hands and with McDonald and Weideman taking the 2st and 2nd key defender that leaves Petty with the 3rd tall and Fritsch to play as that roaming half forward.

POSTMATCH: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
I have knocked him from pillar to post. But i did smile when Oscar kicked his first goal. Good on him. I'll give him credit, he actually went in hard into the the contest with such aggression that I have never seen from him. With May going down I'd say he'll go back to defence for the remaining 2 games.

Brad Hill
Push for premiership? Mate we are 5 to 7 years off contending at a grand final. Our list has many holes that needs to be regenerated by fresh talent. Start that off by picking Noah Anderson who will be twice the player Brad Hill is.

POSTMATCH: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
It was our older senior players who let us down today, i speak of Jones Viney, Melksham, Hibberd were all simply horrible. Viney and Jones can [censored] off the captaincy while we are at. Viney is a ordinary footballer! I loved Lewis death stare and shake of the head when he got holding the ball.

Garry Lyon
Are you [censored] serious!?? He has every right to sink the boots in like anyone else. There is not sugar coating this at all! Everything he has said today has been spot on. He is not a MFC paid official he's a media commentator who's role is to give his opinion and thoughts. I hope we cop it hard all week!
