My god this would be a HUGE get for the footy club. Still remember Darren Bewick his Eastern Rangers coach saying he could potentially be in the same calibre as Christian Petracca who he also coached. If anyone watched Cerra this year would know he makes our midfield go up a whole new level next year.

Hibberd doesn't have to go with him up field. We've shown time and time again this year that we are happy for our forwards to drift higher up the field because this leaves the extra defender in Lever in May to sit back.

To be honest, I'd actually back Hibberd to play on Cameron. Cameron isn't a pack marking beast, but more so a roaming 3rd tall. Hibberd would easily match him for body strength and also at ground level and on the lead. He's giving up 10cm in height but rarely do opposition forwards are left one on one in our defensive structure I'd back Hibberd in.

Interesting comments from Simon Garlick of Freo. Coincidence of time? Speaking on 6PR’s Sportsday WA, Garlick said the club hadn’t had “detailed discussion” around Cerra’s movements and potential suitors of late, but expected talks to ramp up in the coming weeks. “It’s still really early in that piece, but that’ll start to heat up I’d suggest in the next two to three weeks in particular.”

Means Lever has to potentially play on a tall now.

Dead set one of the best articles I've read this year. I made note last week about Brad Green tearing up to the Norm Smith Curse promo from channel 7 and how much it means to these ex players as much as supporters. Reading that Stephen Tingay was crying after our first finals win back in 2018 and then Clint Bizzell losing his voice from screaming with delight against his old mob this year is just terrific. In fairness Red, if I'm choosing between Cerra and Sparrow, it's Cerra for me.. by an absolute mile. Cerra has the potential to be in the Petracca class in a few years time, he's that good. He's starting mid alongside Oliver and Petracca, but he also has a good blend of playing on the outside with his high quality foot skills. He'd add a whole new element to our midfield mix.

There is no crossing of the mind. No way is Majak Daw playing in a Preliminary Final.
