  1. Reckon North would be a great fit. Has the Todd Viney connection, but would also add some inside strength with Ben Cunnington on his last legs.
  2. Think this would benefit Hames and the club both ways from a mutual position.

He played through some significant groin issues last year which had a huge impact on him sliding out to the rookie draft. The club nursed him through the pre season as there was still some lingering issues there to manage. Poor kid, watched him against St Kilda in the second game and he was very impressed. Took a couple of good strong contested marks.

Seriously loved that! I wish that went for an hour. Matthew Whelan doesn't get enough credit for his impact at the footy club as a player mentor to Aaron Davey in his playing days to then having a significant role off field to our indigenous players like Koz.
  5. Decent pipes on the kid.
  6. Could start as a sub then play more minutes the following day with Casey.
  7. Marshall is a definite out. Dixon I will presume as such considering it was supposedly a minor strain to his quad at training last week.
  8. I remember Brad doing a pre season with the Dees back in 2002 for a rookie list spot. Unfortunately just couldn't quite have thr talent as his old man. Played only a few games for Sandy in the VFL but then we went back to suburban level.
  9. There is predicted rain on Friday night. Makes me now wonder whether they'll bring in Joel Smith instead for the extra speed and ground ball ability.
  10. Goody on AFL 360 just said either McDonald or Brown will come in for Petty.
  11. I'd bring Schache to play a defensive role on Alir. He did successfully when he completely took him out of the game back in the 2021 finals series.
  12. Mate come on.. You can clearly see now he's slung around with such momentum that he doesnt even have time to protect himself hence he's smacked his head hard on the ground. It's easily a 1 week suspension.
  13. Did anyone actually see the incident on Petty? Did it just get stomped on?
  14. It could go either way WJ. Maybe the club did all they could to help and support him? Was the club fully aware of what had happened previously at the ER and did Daniel speak up to the club about his experience? I presume perhaps not and the poor kid was simply too scared to speak up. Thinking back at the time I mean we had some pretty strong indigenous influences at the club like Matty Whelan, Byron Pickett and Aaron Davey. Did he raise this with them, because I would like to think these guys would have been a significant support for him at the club and a voice for him. Either way it's incredibly sad and as I found myself reading the ABC article on the weekend I was waiting for the happy ending story in the end. But there's not. The only positve is good on him wanting to help others and spread the awareness. There far too many incidents like these that simply don't get spoken about at all.
  15. I don't understand why the media are so fixated in wanting Richmond to be serious flag contenders again. Their list is completely cooked and by having Torranto and Hopper now they've completely butchered their list rebuild. They don't have a 1st round pick and with Riewold and Cotchin set to retire they have no up and coming talent coming through. They'll fall harder then Hawthorn have in the next few years.
  16. My mistake, I haven't even seen that as of yet. I thought he was talking about the initial ABC article. But yes, @Satan is correct thats horrible headline. My apologies mate.
  17. Now it's Richmond's turn to be back into flag contention it seems..
  18. I'm sorry, but this was where the original story started? What's actually wrong with this headline? Former Melbourne Demons footballer Daniel Hayes serves Supreme Court writ on AFL and junior coach Mark Heaney The article has nothing to do with the Melbourne FC. It's about his experience with the Eastern Rangers assistant coach. The article mentions that he's suing the AFL. Again, nothing to do with the Melbourne Football Club.
  19. One thing that no one has mentioned is Judd Mcvee completely blanketing Chad Wingard who kept him to just 8 disposals and had zero impact on the game.
  20. No I actually do like Sparrow. I've seen some Improvement and probably bit harsh by saying i didnt see any at all, but I have high expectation on him considering some of his best footy I've seen was around that 2021 finals series. Whilst you say he's improved in most facets of his game he's still rated only 'average' for majority of these. So yes, just shows he was rated pretty poorly last year if he's improved but yet still rated as only average. For a guy that is suppose to be an inside bull that compliments our star midfielders he's actually rated 'below average' for contested possession and ground ball gets. Agree with the overload of inside mids. The issue with having so many is they're generally very similar in terms of not having the composure and class to compliment the the likes of Viney, Oliver and Petracca who at times do lack the composure and finishing off skill. Sparrow, Jordon, Harmes are all similar foot soliders that are good defensively but don't really add much going the other way. Going after an elite junior mid would be my top priority in the draft. Guys like Duursma (who is similar to Connor Rozee), Darcy Wilson and Nick Watson are 3 that come to mind already.
  21. Where did you get 70 from? He's listed as 32.
  22. Wouldn't say multiple but I definitely see theirs a lot stable then our current game plan which to be fair isn't far off at all.
  23. Take the week. Was ordinary yesterday and have seen nothing to suggest he's improved at all this year. Jordon or Harmes can take his spot.
  24. Give it a rest demonsterative. Lots is said on here others don't agree with. Most let it go.
