  1. It's literally like 2 players who live out there lol Gawn and Lever. Then you have someone like Ben Brown who's all the way out at Moonee Ponds, Ed Langdon in Fitzroy. That's a hike for these guys especially. Majority of the playing list are based around bayside and East Melbourne area.
  2. OOC at the end of this year.
  3. Ohh yes I did forget that..
  4. Whilst I know you're willing to give up a future first, I'd raise this proposal first. My guy Finn Callaghan is out of contract next year and he looks every bit of a superstar in the making. He's childhood and best friends with Blake Howes and I think if there was a player in the competition I'd throw the war chest at its Callaghan. I'm not a big believer that we should be going out and spending big on a key forward as some continue to report in the media. Collingwood won a flag with Mihocek and Mason Cox of all people. Build around JVR, Jefferson and Turner perhaps.
  5. We're going off topic, but this is why we simply have to keep our 1st pick this year and not waste it on Houston., especially in a year where the draft is jacked with midfield talent. Nabbed Windsor last year who will be a jet and if we can someone like a Sid Draper who is very similar to Butters then there's no doubt we can stay contending over the next couple of years. This is our golden opportunity before Tassie.
  6. I agree with this 100% I know we throw heat his way and certainly I have from my end regarding on field performance, but full respect to him in always fronting up and facing the music. I feel bit awkward watching and get a sense he's uncomfortable at times. This is where sometimes I wish the likes of Pert and Roffey would stand up and take the heat off him.
  7. Butters is a genuine jet. He's up there as one of my favourite players to watch in the competition and especially Saturday night where he turned it on. He's proving that you don't need to be a big bustling midfielder to be one of the very best in the competition. His movement around stoppages and ability to manoeuvre his way around tight situations is ridiculous. This is another reason why you can never question Jason Taylor amongst other things. He was trying desperately hard to trade up to select Butters but unfortunately we couldn't pull it off. He's just got the eye for talent.
  8. Like all club presidents do. There is nothing groundbreaking about this information. She is a leader of the footy club. Come out and be one. Jeff Browne from Collingwood has come out several times this year and defended his footy club over certain issues regarding the recent racial story, defending the Daicos father son discussion, as well as the on field performance. If she's not sitting down and twiddling her thumbs then what exactly is she doing? I think members absolutely have the right to question this. When she was brought into the club in 2021 she was well renowned for her ability to build connections and negotiate deals around sporting facilities. I was excited about this appointment initially. As it stands 3 years on we still have no home base nor are we any closer to any announcement where this is at.
  9. Great pick up DL! The way you've outlined it all seems to be pointing to us who have nominated both for the state combine. Also worth noting that Riak is currently in the Casey Demons development squad so clearly we've had a fair bit to do with putting some development around him it seems.
  10. I'd keep Trac.
  11. Geez your game starting this particular topic on here.. *ducks for cover*
  12. Just on Will Brodie, I do know for a fact he was a number of players we had enquired at the end of the 2021 season regarding midfield depth. This was around the time we were also chasing Dunstan. He didn't want to come across as depth especially at a club that was pretty stacked on midfield talent that had just won a flag. Pretty hard one to sell. I only know this from him being an ex bushie boy from up this way. Could it be more enticing now? I'd certainly ask the question. He was an absolute star at junior level and was rated at one stage a top number 1 draft prospect.
  13. We were going through one of the darkest years ever in Melbourne's history and I think every supporter was hanging off PJ's word that night. He sold us all hope and boy did he deliver.
  14. The absolute best. Called a spade a spade and was willing to make the hard decisions when needed. I remember watching his first interview as an acting CEO on On The Couch back in 2013 and I walked away comfortable knowing that the club had taken huge steps forward in getting our [censored] back together again. The legacy he's left at the club limitless. The unfortunate thing is that we simply did not have him long enough in my opinion.
  15. I've never in my time seen two individuals such as yourself and @Demonsterative follow/stalk someone around on a thread and get so triggered by every word that is written on ever page. I know you guys are incredibly sensitive, but maybe for both your sake you just hit the ignore button. He's living rent free inside your heads.
  16. Which no one is denying. You think after the way they refused to let Petty go when he literally got on national TV whilst playing golf with a few Crows player stating that eventually he does want to come home, to then trade Trac? Even if trac came out and said he wants to be traded the club would refuse to do so. That doesn't stop the fact that the issues that is still lingering between club and Petracca which will need to be smoothed over.
  17. Anyone post full article please.
  18. Welcome my friend.
  19. Your display pic.. 😅
  20. In fairness to the the 2015-2017 period at least we had a vision and a game style that Roos implemented that could stack up long term. That win against Hawthorn in 2016 is one of my more favourite wins other then the 2018 finals and Grand final. Not only that we had one of the best operators I've ever seen in my time in supporting the club in Peter Jackson who ran a tight and disciplined ship. He's light years ahead of Roffey and Pert. I do understand what you mean though. News of late has sucked the absolute life out of me.
  21. Jesus this guy gets it..
  22. Didn't know where to put this really.
