PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Port Adelaide
I can't recall Hore lining up on any key forward either. One of Hores biggest strength is his intercept marking and ability read the play which Howes does well also. Howes at times has had to play on the taller types but also play on the smalls such as Shai Bolton and Willie Rioli. That's where's Howes versatility is much suited to our back 6 then people give him credit for. Howes also has more athletic traits then Hore which is where he has struggled more on the smaller opponents at ground level. Hore isn't overly quick. Writing all that was an absolute tongue twister

Where's Kentfield at?
I reckon read somewhere that he was only on a 6 month contract??

Where's Kentfield at?
I can't recall anyone whether that's media or supporter base writing Petracca off early days. The moment he made his debut he looked like a player with immense talent.

No he isn't.

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Casey have a bye this weekend. Good luck trying to get form Jeffo.

Darren Burgess - Going Places
They're both in a joint partnership for a business they run together. Pretty sure it's a gym in Adelaide.

Where's Kentfield at?
I was excited with this selection. Based on the games I've seen at VFL level he'd struggle to get a kick in the EDFL. I'd be saying thanks, but time to pack your bags at the end of the year.

2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I'd love to watch this but I'll be playing footy myself. Will you watch Chaser? Berry is a gun mate. Has come through the development ranks and certainly spent time with him in our under 16's program (I have no role in the under 18's) He reminds me so much of Toby Green with his skillset and ability to provide X factor in big games. He likes to pushes up the ground and be creative around the midfield stoppage as well. Last few games at Coates level He's played midfield and still find time to push forward and hit the scoreboard.

I don't think Rivers leaves. I'm still a big watch on the Oliver situation, in my opinion his contract is too big to take on but I don't think it stops clubs asking the question.

Jesus who cares.. you're literally only person on here who questioned it. Out of all footy conversations that is happening in this thread you nit pick the smallest of detail when I was describing someone's employment and that impact that could have in player movement.

Goodwin is the MAN!
He's not wrong.

What? Explain what's so negative about what I just said.. I made the supermodel reference purely because I thought she was Melbourne based and that she would be tied up with all the fashion model shoots that is popular within the Melbourne lifestyle. Melbourne is the heart of all this stuff. My reasoning would be perhaps that I would be hoping she wouldn't want to leave Melbourne due to her work commitments which is being a model as I stated.

You're becoming my new favourite poster with all this inside info of late.. Keep it up. The Rivers one certainly catches me by surprise considering how settled he is in Melbourne with his supermodel Melbourne based girlfriend. Very big off season coming up for the dees.

Christian Petracca’s 2024 Season Ending Injuries
You'll get unhappy players in every club regardless how successful they are. That can come down to team selection and probably a number of other factors as well.

Christian Petracca’s 2024 Season Ending Injuries
Don't think we'll ever see him back to his best again to be honest. There'll be a lot of psychological hurdles that will really take time to get over and then the physical aspect of being hesitant of getting another knock in that area. Just another note and not wanting to start any controversy, but I bumped into a current players folks at the local footy two weeks ago and we discussed the current state of the club etc. We got on the topic of Petracca and they stated that apparently there is still tensions between the Petracca camp and the footy club. Christian isn't overly happy still but they put that down to him just being so isolated from the footy club environment and his mates. But clearly there is still some underlying issues there that need to be amended from both parties. Also confirmed that there are a number of players certainly not happy within the club and that's senior players included. This is based around number of factors including team selections, current game plan and obviously the aspect of now missing out on finals as examples. I personally wouldn't be surprised if we have another off season where a top line Melbourne player attempts to seek a fresh start elsewhere similar to Petty last year.

Langford is a beauty. Bigger bodied mid too at around the 191cm mark. The type of player that would be a round 1 starter without hesitation.

Dan Houston
He would have been perfect maybe 2021/2022 but for the now and the future, no thanks. Give me a Sid Draper or a Sam Lalor who are going to be bona fide midfield stars for the next 10-12 years.

Cal Twomey said that he thinks he'll be playing at Melbourne next year and it will take our pick 7 and next years first as a starting point. I'll be absolutely mortified with the club if we part with pick 7 for a 28 year old half back flanker and next years first.

Trade Targets
That wasn't your original point. Both Mason Cox and Darcy Cameron are bigger lumps then Peter Wright and still got the job done in the grand final. You don't need to be quick or nimble to do what they were able to do. How you can say that Mason Cox is a better player and more efficient up forward then Peter Wright is laughable.. the stats say otherwise.
