  1. Spot on....there are a lot of people close to Jessie who wished he was staying in Melb....however I wish him well as he has gone through so much as a young man, but I am SO glad Melb did the deal.
  2. Might be a reality check for Hogan ..he wanted to explore his options ..we ok’d it & explained how we would use the picks we got for him ..Freo didn’t value him enough ...I now feel whatever happens in the future ...he doesn’t hold all the cards !!
  3. I remember posting re Balic (who had lived with Bennell ) that we should stay away from Balic ...shot down in flames on here & where’s Balic now ...absolutely don’t touch Bennell !!
  4. Lycett, Vardy, Barrass, McGovern. Hurn. Kennedy. Darling ....GRAND FINAL
  5. Gulp...don’t think I will pass that onto my Collngwood partner just yeti!! That really ”mean” part of me is a little bit happy ?
  6. Tickets for restricted members go on sale at 11am. Thought it was a very small queue this morning...proves that no one except pies & eagles supporters care...very different demographic in member this morning
  7. I was not going to post on the inevitable teeth knashing that was bound to occur after this loss but I hope I am backed up here by other supporters that were at the Prelim...I have never heard or been in a place where the noise level was deafening. It really looked & felt like a gladiator stadium and it was literally boys against men. We have the nucleus of an amazing team but they need to get more games under their belts and bulk up. Yes, Jordan Lewis stuffed up, so did Nathan Jones and many others. We unfortunately put ourselves in the position of having to win games to make the 8, so the last five games or so were mini grand finals. I will never forget that amazing first final against Geelong and to a lesser extent, Hawthorn. We didn’t play well that night and it was a prelude to the following week. We were cooked, it is very hard to keep up that level for so long with such a young team. We now heard about Clayton and there is no way Gawn wasn’t struggling with a significant calf injury. Venders was unsighted, it goes on. As many supporters have said, if we were told we would lose in a Prelim ...we would take it any day of the week. As far as I am concerned, one half of football does not define my view of the team I follow or the club. Compare the WC list & our list & the difference in age, experience etc was significant whilst WC is very close compared to the Pies. I can’t wait for 2019, I’m excited to see who we bring in, not fussed about any players we may lose, except def don’t want to lose Jesse, so lets embrace the season & get out and about for the next season. Also, straight from the players....no mental scarring just a determination for next year.
  8. Sigh....I am going with my collingwood supporting partner...I was at Perth & saw eagles supporters up “close & personal” ....however I cant abide collingwood..in fact after attending many GF’s....I just don’t care
  9. I love reading these posts...I am a realist but I believe in this team ...I don’t regret a cent of what I paid to get to Perth...after today for me the footy is finished ..zero interest .. no reading or listening to media ..I put that blanket ban on this year & enjoyed my footy much more.... we have the players...game...supporters...farewell till 2019
  10. I have to ask before I post ...were you at the game ?
  11. From someone at the ground today ...terrible first half but fought it out..we didn’t play well last week & I think it was symptomatic of playing finals type footy for the past 5 weeks...they were done ...they aren’t quiteready...& in a way I feel a sense of relief that it is over...I would have hated to lose to Collingwood ...just wish the first half wasn’t so bad...HOWEVER....make no mistake...this team will give us many more highs than lows & i am glad I made the trip...glad I stayed till the end & I thank the club for one of the better seasons that I can remember....before I get howled down by the “negative nellies” just ask yourself one question “ how many of you legitimately felt at the beginning of the season that we would win 2 massive finals at the G against two powerhouse clubs & make a Preliminary final? I didn’t ...can’t wait for 2019 ...
  12. I agree completely....think we would have easily matched the Tigers & feel confident taking on the Pies if we get there...feel more nervous about the Eagles ...but maybe because I am surrounded by them over here & they are so arrogant ...didn’t subscribe to the love for the Tigers ...they had their good wins early ....lost against all away teams & beat up on average teams for the remaining part of the season plus Dusty injured was a huge bonus for the Pies...get it done tomz Dees
  13. My son lives in Tokyo & paid $70 for an AFL app which allows him to watch all final series

  16. Goodwin said 50/50 split with tickets
  17. Just booked an AFL package....flights..accom & ticket for $1900 .....can’t wait
  18. Couldn’t get MCC visitors tkts however my son could get reserved tkts for a group going to hawks game.....will be a massive MCC crowd for the Friday night game. Had 3 devices going....got 4 tkts Great southern Stand for friends ( 2nd level) so very happy.
  19. I found it breathtaking & unbelievably arrogant ...not to mention disrespectful to even contemplate trading Hogan. We have had an amazing year but haven’t won a final & are still a long way off being a “complete” team. There are teams in the 8 & outside of the 8 who for whatever reasons haven’t been unable to field close to their best 22 & next year a whole lot of new challengers will appear. To contemplate trading a 23yr old “ unbelievable” talent who has had to deal with situations that a lot of us will hopefully never have to ...is “mind boggling”. Let’s just settle down ....follow our team & embrace who is lucky enough to make the final 22. Don’t forget there are a lot o& warriors who have got us here & leave off arrogantly suggesting we trade off stars because we have actuall6 made finals.

Gary pert was moved on for one reason & one reason only ( think Simon Lethlean) ...you can state whatever “passionate” Collingwood supporter etc or whatever else you have heard but this is 100% fact. The filth will be “filthy” because love them or hate them...(i’m In the latter).....he is an amazing operator...well done Dee’s !!!
  21. More than happy to see him go & not necessarily for his onfield performances!!!
  22. I’ve just been in Adelaide & read an article by Dean Brogan who was pretty scathing about Ports drafting. Felt that they had made some big mistakes by not holding on to some early picks & draft some youth. If they don’t take the flag this year he thinks they will have some serious problems with their future with not a lot of young talent coming through. It will be interesting to see how 2018 pans out for various reasons. I am still very glad that we have 3 picks in the second round & am pretty confident we will unearth someone with those picks.
