If we were a side that had 25k turn up and make noise today, we very well might have got a W
Have a look at their membership no ‘s …I was at the game today & considering GWS have no supporters..not a bad turn out. It was pretty hard to get excited with the quality of football we were playing …at least we didn’t sook it up like ESS

Local media pundits not taking MFC as a serious threat.
You as a supporter are exactly the same as media who don’t give us due respect. Personally I go into each season with optimism & maybe a blissful mindset but tempered with a good sense of reality. I prefer not to “look back at history “ but half the fun of being supporter is to get excited & hyped up by our new players & if our hopes are dashed as they have been many times …so be it. I don’t follow the Dees to be measured & analytical ..,that can occur after the season. As for this season I’m enjoying every win …going to every game I can & praying that at the end of the season whether we win a GF or not ..we will have at least established an identifiable brand of footy and a football club that has garnered the respect of the wider football community

Luke ‘dogga’ Jackson rising star favourite
Always find it so interesting how people view games so differently. A 19yr old playing significant ruck & game time is quite extraordinary..pretty sure Hogan missed his first season with stress fractures of the back & not sure he reached the lofty heights you’re talking about. Jackson is extraordinarily talented for one so young!

CHANGES: Rd 16 vs GWS
Pretty sure that Viney said he has been nursed & prepared for the pointy part of the season. They have been extremely cautious & not bought him back early so would be very surprised if he missed next week

TICKETING: Rd 15 vs Essendon
Got my 3 …Level 3…incredibly happy ?
-
TEAMS: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
True ...however Bulldogs avoided the Langdon wing big time and went down the Bradshaw wing which is why he was more involved & Langdon had a quieter game. I trust our systems & look forward to seeing what Sparrow brings

CHANGES: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
Would like to see the same team ...conditions look good ...little wind & fine & a 4.35 game. No excuses for big forwards & as per May & Lever ...connection doesn’t happen overnight. I’d be happy to leave Viney for one more match & also Jackson. Chandler also deserves another week ...

What they're saying down at Royal Parade
We are absolutely the better team . In saying that ...if any team is a couple of % off for whatever reason you could lose. We have seen this with most of the top 4 sides this season. Every game we play we are now hunted ... Sydney with a great coach in Longmire tagged Fritsch & Lever ...played their dour flooding ..stop the scoring game & we still managed to find a way to win Great learnings for our players & can only help them as the season goes on. Agree that there is a huge upside for our team which is so exciting!!

Centre Clearances - Considered Analysis Requested.
Certainly don’t agree with the sentiments of “lack of intent and hunger”. Intent and hunger probably won us the game last night. There is a distinct lack of cohesion with clearances which Goody is aware of & as some other posters have alluded to...fix that even by 50% and our winning margins will increase dramatically!! Aside from that is Gawn perhaps carrying a niggle ?

Caroline Wilson - Where has she gone?
She has gone to see her daughter in Amsterdam who has given birth & it was a rush as there were a few worries. Should be back in a week or two .,,

CHANGES: Rd 08 vs Sydney
Didn’t play...elbow injury

TEAMS: Rd 07 vs North Melbourne
I think it is offensive to say “Jones dumped” just as it was equally offensive to say before his 300th that he was was a “perennial “ loser. He is a 33 yr old ...had a huge few weeks...surely “ managed” is appropriate.
-
Top of the Ladder?
If we win against north & are clear top of the ladder...is that the first time in Nathan Jones career that Melbourne has been on top of the ladder ?
-
Robbo
Can’t believe that Goody hasn’t even been questioned...unbelievably rude...Robbo is so ignorant!!

POSTGAME: Rd 05 v Hawthorn
He is absolutely not the difference between us winning or losing that game. You have an extremely short memory if you don’t think our heart & soul ex Captain doesn’t deserve this game. He was the one reason that I went to the football at times. He deserves this honour ?❤️?❤️ j

POSTGAME: Rd 05 v Hawthorn
Always think the new in’s need a qrt to pick up the pace of the game & their place in the game. Thought all 3 ins and the team started to get a bit more cohesion in the 3rd qrt & broke them down in the fourth. Was Petty off inj in the last ?

Ed Langdon on RSN (13/4/21)
I think it may have been Goody/Gawn who stated that with up to six players having none or one rotation it allows around 70 rotations to be shared by other players. Great benefit to the team.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
Happy to give him a pass with it being his first game & also horrendous conditions. However would have to show marked improvement next week. On song his delivery into the forward line is a weapon & he was generally a good shot for goal.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
It was reported off a news feed which is why i prefaced it with “apparently” however Dermie also alluded to the fact that he hoped it wasn’t a broken eye socket with the amount of bleeding. Not on here to score points ..I would be devastated if he misses weeks but would think if it was a couple of stitches ..they could have possibly done that at the ground. Let’s hope for the best possible outcome.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Let’s hope against hope it’s not that bad but I think from the presser Goodie had some idea it wasn’t good news. At least once it settles down he should be able to keep up fitness levels etc with no contact to the head but have no idea what this type of injury means in terms of rehab

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Apparently broken orbital bone ..2-4months

CHANGES: Rd 04 vs Geelong

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs GWS
Not sure I stated anywhere that we “ played a complete game”. We are a long way from our full potential which is exciting. We also fielded 5 players with very limited AFL experience but with enormous upside. My point was enjoy the wins ..we all know we have huge challenges ahead but I believe the team has enormous upside. The difference to me was even though we are not yet playing our best...there is a maturity there that hasn’t been seen before. I agree with a comment that Nick Riewoldt said...with the game as it is today.. you only have to be a little off & teams whether they’re well below or above you will run over you. So maybe don’t expect us to be playing our very best footy 3 games in. It will evolve!!
