Jesse Hogan re-signs to end of Season 2019
sisso replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
Wonderful news, I really couldn't see a way we could have "won" if he'd left...Goody has the best Melbourne list to work with in a long time that's for sure! -
Other clubs playing "Hell's Bells" pre-bounce...annoying or not?

Seems like it was supposed to be our song, Demons, Hell, etc It is a bit annoying it's been hijacked -

Don't we have any influential, super-rich supporters who can come up with a "creative" way to ensure Jesse gets an offer he can't possibly refuse....? As Carlton did with Judd? -

No, we're already going insane -

This is all too stressful....maybe we should go back to being a terrible club full of bad players that nobody really wants -

Can't he stay just for one little premiership? Is that too much to ask?? -

As if the Eagles wouldn't be interested if he was going home: bit of a nothing article. Suppose for us it's better to have both WA clubs competing for him but it feels like we'll get screwed either way. -

I'm starting to wonder if it's really worth drafting players from WA no matter how good they are...the go home risk is too great -
Yeah Roosy rings me up personally for my opinion...

Thanks to our lame effort last week and strange selections (2 going straight out again why were ANB and Michie ever in?) it's hard to give a toss about this game...
-
We don't have that many experienced players yet and I think if he was fit and in form he'd still have a role to play on the wing or half-back. Maybe not necessarily every week but in the mix for selection.
-
If we're serious about making the finals this game will be over by halfway through the second quarter.
-
is Kent's injury just the 1 week?
-
We need to get our top end of town Collins St supporters to make him the best under the table, brown paper bag deal dirty money can buy!!
-
Have the Suns forgotten what happened the last time one of their players with a crook shoulder met Jack Viney?
-
Any chance he could do a Jarrad Waite and hit career best form late in his footy life? If he gets fit of course: sometimes big blokes peak around 30
-
As other posters have said Hogan would be mad to go to team just starting it's rebuild: the pressure on him would be ridiculous. Hope like mad he stays but if he does leave we'll no doubt get another top 3 draft pick + whatever else we can squeeze out of the deal.
-
We've almost got TOO MUCH talent on the list to have them all play at once! OK I'm getting too excited now...
-
Can't wait to see the big lad out there...just know he's going to do a couple of special things

I agree. All the great sides of the last few years have had an antagonist or two. Steve Johnson at Geelong, Jordan Lewis at Hawthorn and the Scott brothers at Brisbane are examples. Sheedy always made sure he had a mongrel or two in his successful Essendon sides. Sure, Bugg isn't as good a footballer as any of the above but he brings an element of edge and nastiness to our team we haven't had for a very long time. Kent, Viney, Vince and Harmes are also getting into the "unsociable" act. Its great to see!
-
Bugg is rapidly becoming one of my favourite players. He's just a complete pain in the butt and doesn't care who's face he gets in...when's the last time we had a guy like that?
-
I reckon Bugg is one of our most important because he's a master of psychological warfare...even sticks it up the oppositions supporters would be just about the best in the business
-
Got straight in gate 4 if that's any help no problems there

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 5, 2016
sisso replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Good point, certainly no excuses in terms of the players we've got available. But then I thought the side we had in against Essendon was the best in 8 years so we need to come out hard from the 1st minute.
