Finally some good news!

I think one of our biggest issues is we’ve lost our 3 most critical players for ball movement all at once: see if things improve when Pickett, Windsor and McVee return. Things look pretty bleak at the moment and sitting there yesterday was a reminder of the bad old days, but I’m still hopeful we can see a turn in form as the year progresses. The list isn’t anywhere near 2012 levels of woefulness.

I’ll be there….tipping us to win by ummm 1 point!

Actually feel slightly more confident about this week than I did about last week for some unknown reason (was concerned about North at Marvel). Even with Lever out I think we will give a good account similar to v GWS: whether we can win though, no idea.

100% agree...we are a smaller club with a small hardcore fanbase, why is that so bad? In the Redlegs we were making plenty of noise.... So sick of these so called "supporters" joining in with the media to stick the boots in, what good does it do anyone??

the mini rebuild continues...we copped a lot of flak for a poor season last year but still won 11 games while getting plenty of kids in, better than ending up ancient like Collingwood

I would play 3 tall forwards even if there is going to be a bit of wind and rain...never go in too short at the MCG its asking for trouble. Turner has enough tricks to be dangerous he's got that bit of X factor about him, I would play him with JVR and also debut Johnson to help Max in ruck and take his turn forward.

GWS will have a short forwardline with all their injuries to talls, so will need the midfield to be on their pressure game, force as many long high balls as possible for May/Lever/Petty to intercept.

Going to be tough they are a high octane, high pressure team with plenty of skill…but I think we will provide a tougher midfield challenge than the Pies did and with the home ground advantage on our side, we’re a chance.

Sounds like a solid hit out and hopefully no fresh injured so we can hit GWS with a strong side and hopefully secure a first up win
