  1. This article sums it up perfectly....Cornes is no dummy and a good football analyst but he's taken the "hot take" US sports approach...it seems to be what the people want so who can blame him and Hutchy
  2. Shame I missed this but started a new role at work and couldnt get into the city - how was the presentation to members?
  3. When’s the last time we conceded 100?
  4. Please no more Melksham
  5. Can’t win em all…
  6. Also at that game…we were so bad in those days in the post match interviews they players were talking up how good they were for the first half! Hard to believe today
  7. Sensible to leave Lever out with his crook ankles if he’s not right…we should have enough quality and team to defence to cover Essendon’s forward line without Peter Wright (you’d hope)
  8. Time to fix that
  9. Always imperative to defeat any team coached by Brad Scott as he gets the sooks up with the bottom lip sticking out…gold
  10. A job well done by the boys securing the 4 points against a depleted but annoyingly scrappy oppo…great we are kicking high scores this season very enjoyable to watch
  11. The line is currently 48.5 points…
  12. sisso replied to sue's topic in Melbourne Demons
With the possible exception of key forwards we seem to have the best players in every position on the field! How come we lose game sometimes!?
  13. One thing for sure about this match is I'm not going to know who half the Eagles players are
  14. If we’re serious we should give the Eagles a hiding…do they have any small defenders? I can see Kozzie, Chin etc running riot in this one
  15. They will be playing half a WAFL side so 50-60 points would be par I reckon
  16. Carnage for the Eagles, Simpson said in the presser they will have to make 6-7 forced changes….our boys better not take them lightly but seriously this should be a % booster. Especially at our fortress Optus Stadium!
  17. Only 3 rounds in I realise but we are top for points scored in the comp….a lot of people bag our forward line but I would say we have the best group of small forwards in the AFL and the best medium forward in Fritta…like the look of Petty and JVR for a different mix in the talls too
  18. Agree with this the team looked shell shocked when Max went down…what we saw today was much closer to the real Melbourne
  19. didnt mind the look of him up forward at all providing the backline can hold up…worth trying again next week against the Eagles who are a bottom 4 side
  20. Felt good going into today that we would respond but didn’t expect a 50 point smashing! Party time in that last quarter very enjoyable to be there screaming my head off!
  21. I reckon we can win I’m not as enamoured with the Swans as this unbeatable team as many…they have games like every other where they look pretty ordinary, lost to a poor Essendon at the MCG last year for example
  22. Going in with a very short forward line not sure why we think this will work...?
  23. The problem if May is injured again isn’t just for his stopping ability it’s that he’s a brilliant playmaker, takes heaps of intercept marks and wins a stack of the ball…we have a lot of good defenders but he is the general back there
  24. The bookies must think we’ll win to get everyone to pile on Sydney at over $2 (I’m not serious that not how bookies work)
  25. Agree last week for them means nothing, Hawthorn aren't AFL quality they are all kids like GWS in 2012. They had a very soft game we need to shock them with intensity from the opening bounce
