  1. As long as we got no injuries no worries, sure we played bad but I can’t see that defining our season
  2. I doubt anyone will lose too much sleep over this game really
  3. Im not concerned by the result as long as we beat a weak looking Carlton by around 5 goals!
  4. The rest of Carlton’s forward line looks very weak on paper though, hardly a goal kicker in the other 5 forwards
  5. Dunstan must be being reprogrammed, have to remove that loose unaccountable Brett Ratten style from him!
  6. Carlton would have to play out of their skins and we would be disinterested to lose based on the two sides presented….
  7. Pretty good depth backline still looks decent even with the outs
  8. Yeah mine appeared about the same time too, took them a while but all set now
  9. No barcode for tomorrows match for me yet
  10. Bring back the old membership cards this app stuff is a pain in the butt….what happens if you don’t have a smart phone (I do just curious)
  11. Provided we dont get injuries in this game we are looking to go into round 1 in very good shape, Petty prob the only best 22 player unavailable.
  12. Salem training today so you'd assume whatever knock he copped in this match is now OK
  13. I actually think he’ll stay anyway, he’s playing with his best mates, having team success, looks like he’s embraced his role and is enjoying his footy to me. I think the only reason he’ll leave is if he get a financial offer he can’t refuse and we couldnt begrudge him that if it’s an insane amount of money.
  14. Not a bit player, he’s recognised as a very good player and an integral part of a premiership side, sure he’s a rung down from our superstars in Trac and Clarry but that’s what it takes for team success: isn’t that more important than individual accolades?
  15. How it feels to be a Demons supporter these days
  16. I agree with this…if Gus’ best position was on ball full time that’s where he’d be playing no matter how many other gun mids we have. His lack of defensive positioning and see ball get ball mentally was a liability from time to time as a full time mid from memory, similar to the problem the Bulldogs had with Libba/MacRae last season. No doubt he can play in the guts when required but to say we are hiding a Brownlow medal winning onballer on the wing like the media seem to be suggesting is a bit of a stretch.
  17. Wonder what the strategy is for the Carlton game I assume we’ll go for the best available “full dress rehearsal” plan?
  18. Haha yeah I don’t have to say that anymore. But it’s not just about kicking long it’s hard to quantify: this team just seems so good at driving the ball forward they are a perpetual motion machine, it overwhelms the opposition you can see them cracking under the strain of it.
  19. Saw Shaun there! Robert Harvey was also wandering around
  20. What strikes me about this team vs all the others in my 45 years supporting is how much purpose they play with to drive the ball forward at all costs. Old Melbourne sides had me screaming how they’d mess around with the footy and inevitably turn it over, not this one. This must be what supporting a good side feels like.
  21. Nice training drill for the boys out there….North are several classes below
