Only 3 rounds in I realise but we are top for points scored in the comp….a lot of people bag our forward line but I would say we have the best group of small forwards in the AFL and the best medium forward in Fritta…like the look of Petty and JVR for a different mix in the talls too
-
Agree with this the team looked shell shocked when Max went down…what we saw today was much closer to the real Melbourne
-
didnt mind the look of him up forward at all providing the backline can hold up…worth trying again next week against the Eagles who are a bottom 4 side
-
Felt good going into today that we would respond but didn’t expect a 50 point smashing! Party time in that last quarter very enjoyable to be there screaming my head off!
-
I reckon we can win I’m not as enamoured with the Swans as this unbeatable team as many…they have games like every other where they look pretty ordinary, lost to a poor Essendon at the MCG last year for example
-
Going in with a very short forward line not sure why we think this will work...?
-
The problem if May is injured again isn’t just for his stopping ability it’s that he’s a brilliant playmaker, takes heaps of intercept marks and wins a stack of the ball…we have a lot of good defenders but he is the general back there
-
The bookies must think we’ll win to get everyone to pile on Sydney at over $2 (I’m not serious that not how bookies work)
-
Agree last week for them means nothing, Hawthorn aren't AFL quality they are all kids like GWS in 2012. They had a very soft game we need to shock them with intensity from the opening bounce

LJ traded back to us for a 4th rounder sounds fair -
We can win if we play at our best, too many supporters writing this one off before the first bounce of the ball!
-
About time we turned our poor record again the Swans around, they aren’t THAT terrifying…in a weird way no Max might be a good thing as it will give the midfield a different look that they haven’t seen for a while
-
Its JVR time
-
It’s offical we can breathe again 4-6 weeks
-
We don’t need to win every match either..:halfway point at around 7-5 would be fine as long as we have plenty in the tank for the rest of the season
-
Please be right and just a medial….even if he’s out until the bye we can cope with that
-
Agree doesn’t look good but we can’t toss the whole year in….I can think of 3 clubs off the top of my head who won flags when they lost a vital player for the year with an ACL (Port 2004, Bulldogs 2016, Tigers 2019) Let’s hope for the best though
-
Brutal competition, we’re not just going to waltz through the year without drama…bad night for the boys but we will reload and go again next week
-
Haven’t been smashed like this in a while…just have to take the L and move on sadly

Losing to a team that has Hipwood and Daniher as their key forwards would make me puke…impossible to find two flakier players
-
Need to bash them up in the midfield, last week they looked soft in there despite the big names they have
-
Imagine the build up a GF against the Pies though the city would be in a frenzy....much more epic than playing Gold Coast, Freo or even a smaller Vic club
-
TMac is one of those players that will need to be managed and probably have a couple of games rest throughout the season I don’t think we can expect him to play every week
-
The punters must like us at $2 as we're currently into $1.80 as favourites with the bookies....not that it means anything in terms of what happens on the field but we do seem to play very well at the Gabba
