  1. Makes sense to not drive guys who aren't quite right as we did last season - a change from the Darren Burgess run them into the ground philosophy (which worked great in 2021 admittedly)
  2. Its a long season and I very much doubt TMac and BBB at 30+ will be right to play all 22 games + finals (hopefully)...so we will need Josh at some stage
  3. Will be a tough match as it usually is against the Dawgs (post bang bang bang in the '21 GF aside!)....they are a bit of an unknown quantity to me lots of talls and a strong midfield but how many of those talls are proven performers in big games? Jones, Lobb im not too sure and the rest are pretty young. Have to make sure the Bont and Naughton don't completely dominate and we should be OK.
  4. Pleased we’ve worked on greater midfield rotations and variety this pre season: at times last year we looked stale in there and went to the well with the same group too much. Interesting that Ooze admitted that part of our drop off was the midfield group getting tired as the season went on too.
  5. good side named, bit of a worry Fritch is still out with a bruised foot? Hopefully not something more serious...
  6. I swear he stuffs up his ankle every week and someone hobbles on…
  7. Jake L and his balsa wood ankles look to be a problem again
  8. Time goes fast that's for sure....hopefully he's still a gun at 35
  9. I agree he will be a useful player and we will need him to play his role when required, he did play a full finals campaign including a Grand Final in 2021 so he's got exposed form at the very highest level. Not everyone is a superstar/champion.
  10. He’s a nice kick for goal at least we won’t have to close our eyes when he has a set shot: unlike Max or Trac!
  11. Good pickup got a aerobic beast on each wing now
  12. Worth a shot as a virtual freebie but hard to get excited based on what we've seen from his career to this point....a bit like our Wattsy just because you're a top draft pick does not guarantee a great player...

Greatest ruck pairing ever? Certainly in terms of Supercoach scores we are loading up
  14. Different types of players, one is a small crumbing forward the other a medium half forward who can pinch hit as a lead up type or have a run in the midfield (even though he doesnt get much of the ball)
  15. Would have thought it’s time for Melky to hang up the boots

Cats far too good for everyone else this season well done to them: but surely with the oldest team ever (I think I heard that) that’s it for them??

Despise them both but hate Geelong more....that said I think they will win, sadly
  18. Compare Geelong they have rested players when the opportunity arose throughout the season, Selwood, Dangerfield etc now they look fresh - they did have a very easy draw compared to us but in hindsight it does appear we drove the squad into the ground
  19. Hopefully like this Reigns we wreck everyone and leave!
  20. Also remember bookmaker odds are there to entice the punters to plonk down their dosh....I think a lot of people forget odds are not the true possibility of a particular result they are set to make bookmakers money. Betfair is a closer indication of the true way in which the crowd is feeling....and on there Brisbane are out to $5.10! Doesnt mean we'll win of course
  21. sorry im a computer nerd not an English professor!
  22. McInerny and Daniher out leave the Lions light on for experienced talls, provided its not going to p*** with rain tonight should be a fair advantage to us....talls are often very important in finals
  23. He won the game for them last week
  24. Joe out is big without him Brisbane dont win last week!!
  25. Not as confident as many, our recent form on the MCG is mediocre at best…hope we win but it will be close
