6 - Frost ( goes from strength to strength ) 5 - Oliver ( looked like the only onballer capable of clearing from the centre) 4 - T.McDonald ( our only winning forward option) 3 - Hibberd ( never admitted defeat ) 2 - Lewis ( regularly stood up despite the pressure ) 1 - O.McDonald ( continued his reliable and steady performance in defence )
-
Hogan - was understandably quiet Petracca - played in bursts Lewis - important but slow Gawn - had limited influence Oliver - great first half Hibberd - continued to inspire Stretch - little to enthuse Kent - was mostly unsighted Frost - outstanding all game Melksham - regularly poor disposal Hannan - had little involvement Pedersen - didn't offer much Vince - experience often showed T.McDonald - only winning forward O.McDonald - safe and effective Hunt - loose, rebounded well Neal-Bullen - some vital touches Garlett - had limited influence Jetta - one memorable interception Wagner - played his part Harmes - was rarely sighted Smith - nervous and limited Tyson - overrated and unsighted
-
What about Hibberd's spoil that led to O Mac getting it to Harmes and then to the golden boy?
-
6 - O.McDonald ( kept his head whilst all around were losing theirs) 5 - Jetta ( was rarely beaten one on one) 4 - Viney ( half a game was better than the rest ) 3 - Gawn ( tried until the end ) 2 - T. McDonald ( provided a target at least ) 1 - Frost ( lost the battle but not for lack of effort )
-
Viney - curse strikes again Petracca - rarely displayed talent Lewis - hardly got involved Gawn - tried but rusty Tyson - an irrelevant performance Oliver - overwhelmed by publicity Hibberd - been more influential Stretch - had little influence Frost - tried but limited Melksham - little to commend Hannan - was rarely sighted Pedersen - couldn't get involved Vince - slow and loose T.McDonald - performed in patches O.McDonald - continued standing tall Hunt - lacked the vitality Neal-Bullen - had no impact Bugg - waste of space Jetta - courageous and bold White - out of class Wagner - fumbly and slow Harmes - out of depth
-
Viney - courageous beyond comparison Salem - disappointing before injury Petracca - huge final quarter Lewis - never imbued confidence Gawn - a wonderful return Tyson - great first half Oliver - some important touches Hibberd - not as prolific Stretch - good in close Frost - licence to thrill Melksham - continued good form Hannan - valuable but limited Pedersen - versatile and brave Vince - experience proved invaluable T.McDonald - a pivotal performance O.McDonald - lowered his colours Hunt - didn't appear fit Neal- Bullen - becoming a fixture Bugg - had limited influence Garlett - obviously hates traveling Jetta - some important interceptions Harmes - a valuable game
-
Jones - great until injured Viney - grunt and endeavour Watts - great 3 quarters Petracca - couldn't get going Lewis - the director general Tyson - was actually effective Oliver - loved the contest Hibberd - best recruit ever? Frost - was almost impassable Pedersen - who needs Gawn? Vince - played it simply T.McDonald - was outstanding everywhere O.McDonald - career best game Hunt - dashes to savour Melksham - effective tagging game Hannan - agile and classy Salem - showed true grit Neal-Bullen - played his part Bugg - an important cog Garlett - tireless and dangerous Jetta - impregnable in defence Harmes - made an impact
-
Jones - dynamic and reliable Viney - struggled to impose Salem - important second half Watts - retribution was his Petracca - fantastic second half Lewis - disappointingly a liability Tyson - regularly butchered disposals Oliver - more kicking please Hibberd - clever but loose Frost - continued to impress Melksham - some important touches Hannan - was rarely sighted Pedersen - loved his energy Vince - not a defender T.McDonald - last quarter impact O.McDonald - gradually became important Hunt - was almost outstanding Neal-Bullen - tried but ineffective Bugg - provided important contesting Garlett - great forward pressure Jetta - courageous but loose Harmes - was rarely noticed
-
I was very much a Russell Robertson type of player where marking was concerned, and spekkies were my forte, until I took a screamer too close to a steel-topped fence and hit it mouth first on the way down...without a mouthguard for protection 6 months of root canal treatment and great expense later I was lucky to save my front teeth. This is a lesson for all young footballers out there...Russell Robertson should stick to marketing?
-
Jones - captain my captain Viney - not as dynamic Watts - laconic but effective Petracca - was rarely sighted Lewis - good and evil Tyson - a front runner Oliver - some wrong options Hibberd - dynamic and steady Frost - reliable and composed Melksham - impressive all game Hannan - proving a revelation Pedersen - created a contest Vince - progressively improved performance T.McDonald - had little influence O.McDonald - persistent but iffy Hunt - lacked customary drive Neal-Bullen - some impressive involvement Bugg - rough but effective Garlett - perfect small forward Jetta - had limited impact Wagner - better second half Harmes - rugged and valuable

Great suggestion?♂️
-
Ok from now on I'll play nice and only make politically correct bland comments about players so you can feel good about the team.
-
Suggestions like this are exactly why the club has stagnated for so long.
-
I agree with this , but I've run out of ideas for describing in 3 words what are everpresent faults in Tyson's footballing performance over the last 2-3 years.
-
So? not even the most fanatical Demonlanders would ever describe Tyson as 'elite'
-
I'm prepared to give him credit when it's justified.. I just don't get the love for him that others feel I don't get orgasmic over meaningless possessions and irrelevant touches, but rather I note the 1%ers like chasing , manning up, quick and precise ball movement.. all areas where I regularly note Tyson lacking
-
Dumb statement
-
Well maaate, if you're satisfied with Tyson's ' solid day's work' then you can probably excuse the fact that we lost AGAIN to a team that we were expected to beat.
-
Jones - great second quarter Viney - unsighted when needed Salem - was always composed Watts - hugely disappointing again Petracca - believed his publicity Lewis - provided great direction Tyson - most overrated footballer Oliver - prolific but wasteful Hibbert - was outstanding again Kent - waste of space Frost - iffy but important Hannan - our only forward Pedersen - no heroics today Vince - had no influence T.McDonald - versatile but limited Weideman - probably wasn't playing O.McDonald - never inspired confidence Hunt - obviously still suffering Bugg - regularly wasted chance Garlett - just a spectator Jetta - reliable and effective Wagner - was he playing?
-
6 - Hibberd (great 4 quarters.. thank you Essendon) 5 - Oliver ( continued his remarkably prolific season) 4 - Viney ( finally getting value for effort ) 3 - T.McDonald ( still iffy but was everywhere ) 2 - Salem ( continued to place himself in the right spots) 1 - Frost ( unconventional but always gave his all )
-
Jones - tough and dependable Viney - ruthless and focused Salem - was always composed Watts - surprisingly lacked involvement Petracca - strength and vision Lewis - provided great direction Tyson - was never convincing Oliver - prolific and creative Hibberd - a wonderful acquisition Kent - justified his recall Frost - continued impressive year Hannan - missing in heat Pedersen - loved his heart Vince - demolished their tyro T.McDonald - a versatile revelation Weideman - little to enthuse O.McDonald - made a statement Hunt - thankfully still alive Bugg - successfully played role Garlett - occasional forward pressure Jetta - reliable and effective Wagner - gradually improved value
-
Jones - gradually improved performance Viney - Viney of old Hogan - lots to like Salem - poor under pressure Watts - couldn't get involved Petracca - needed more input Lewis - proved a point Tyson - couldn't hurt opposition Oliver - too much handballing Hibberd - a total professional Frost - confident but loose Hannan - just lacks composure Pedersen - an honest trier Vince - played too cute Kennedy - Harris - little to commend T.McDonald - tried but lacking O.McDonald - inhibited by size Hunt - courageous and bold Bugg - offered very little Garlett - one quarter performance Jetta - often slowed momentum Wagner - slow and indecisive
-
Jones - great second half Viney - far better involvement Salem - used disposal effectively Watts - was all class Petracca - just a bull Lewis - calmness when required Tyson - a front runner Oliver - continued to excel Hibberd - was all class Frost - loose but important Melksham - still not convincing Hannan - an opportunistic game Pedersen - proved doubters wrong Vince - enjoyed more freedom Kennedy-Harris - little to commend T. McDonald - relished the freedom O.McDonald - fortunately rarely required Hunt - wonderful first half Neal-Bullen - some impressive cameos Bugg - did he play? Garlett - provided forward pressure Jetta - had limited involvement
-
6 - Hibberd ( a marvellous debut and a breath of fresh air in defence) 5 - Hunt ( freakish and exciting running ) 4 - Oliver ( great accumulator) 3 - Watts ( showed heart and fortitude all game, everywhere) 2 - Melksham 1 - Hogan
-
Jones - uncharacteristic handling errors Viney - playing without confidence Hogan - had little impact Salem - disn't handle pressure Watts - earned his money Petracca - didn't enjoy conditions Tyson - continued to disappoint Oliver - tired but inspiring Hibberd - loved his debut Stretch - didn't take chances Frost - one inspiring effort Melksham - was better today Vince - never imbued confidence Kennedy - Harris - little to commend McDonald - was well beaten Hunt - just a jet Neal-Bullen - has few tricks Spencer - oh the agony Garlett - missing in action Smith - took a bullet Jetta - played little part Harmes - regularly butchered possessions
