  1. Frankly I don't give a damn! The fact that Lynch was given equal top votes completely validates my argument that the coaches were struggling to find worthy players
  2. This reflects more on the fact that there were no obvious worthy players, other than Watts. i don't suppose you're amongst that special group of Demonlanders who never question Roos' game day decisions????? He's ALWAYS right!!!!
  3. I'd go as far as to say that I think Tyson is one of the most overrated footballers I've seen at the club, and I don't care less about votes given by media journalists.. I've been watching AFL or playing at a high standard of football for nearly 48 years , so I think my observations are more valid than most , and at the end of the day they're MY opinions... if you disagree so vehemently then start your own thread, after all you seem to enjoy seeing your own name in lights so often
  4. So you don't think he regularly butchered the ball?
  5. If you watched the game you'd agree with me
  6. 6 - Watts ( may finally have outgrown the overrated tag) 5 - Frost ( could become an elite running back man) 4 - Stretch ( one of the few , other than Watts, who could find targets) 3 - O.McDonald ( finally justified the persistence of the selection panel) 2 - Jetta ( reliable and clean all game) 1 - Hunt ( loved his endeavour and attitude)
  7. N.Jones - playing under duress Vince - lost the edge Hogan - seemingly without passion Watts - perfect clutch player Petracca - keep it simple Dawes - some minor involvements Viney - made little impression Brayshaw - regularly wrong decisions Gawn - prolific without dominating Tyson - continually butchered disposals Stretch - valuable running game Kent - conditions didn't suit? Frost - valuable when confident T.McDonald - persistent and valuable Hunt - played with dash O.McDonald - played to limitations Garlett - another poor game vandenBerg - took his chances Jetta - safe and reliable Wagner - scary with ball Harmes - finding his place M.Jones - improved but limited
  8. Well, it must please you that everyone respects your daily ramblings too.. frankly I don't care what people think of mine, as evidenced by my rare retorts to criticism
  9. Absolutely I did, but I regarded the slow offloading and turnovers as more significant , and therefore I classified Tyson's game accordingly!
  10. I noted 12 clangers by Tyson whilst watching the replay, directly related to his unwillingness to take the first option.. I stand by my claims and am not swayed by possession numbers, unlike some others here
  11. 6 - N.Jones - some brain fades but was indefatigable and prolific 5 - Gawn - dynamic and dominant in the centre 4 - Frost - may have come of age.. a joy to watch coming out of defence 3 - Kent - aggressive , feisty and clever 2 - Watts - has been better this year but performed all over the field 1 - M.Jones - unfashionable but has improved significantly over the year
  12. N.Jones - prolific captain's game Vince - brain fades cruelled Hogan - rarely imposed himself Watts - always looked dangerous Petracca - some awesome plays Dawes - needed more involvement Viney - never died wondering Brayshaw - some crucial errors Gawn - outstanding all game Tyson - slow to offload Stretch - provided some run Kent - dangerous and valuable Frost - career best game T.McDonald - horrible under pressure O.McDonald - never imbued confidence Hunt - is obviously tiring Neal-Bullen - was rarely sighted Garlett - took his chances Jetta - slow to react Wagner - was rarely sighted Harmes - effective holding game M.Jones - provided valuable run
  13. 6 - Viney ( the only player who seemed to care) 5 - Gawn ( didn't dominate the centre but was effective for 4 quarters) 4 - Watts ( tried to lift the team but was limited after the injury ) 3 - Vince ( heaps of meaningless possessions) 2 - Harmes ( played with aggression but not much else after 1/4 time) 1 - T.McDonald ( best of the rest )
  14. Jones - regularly butchered ball Vince - prolific without effect Hogan - frustrated and frustrating Watts - couldn't get involved Petracca - keep it simple Viney - the Trojan returned Brayshaw - some poor decisions Gawn - never gave up Tyson - just lacked smarts Kent - new contract syndrome T. McDonald - imbued no confidence O.McDonald - so frighteningly raw Hunt - no heroics today Grimes - milestone to forget Kennedy - bring back Howe Garlett - not on field vandenBerg - little to commend Jetta - some horrible decisions White - slow and overwhelmed Wagner - was rarely sighted Harmes - outstanding first quarter M.Jones - just lacks talent
  15. 6 - T.McDonald ( outstanding 4 quarters and no brain fades) 5 - Hogan ( the most dangerous and effective forward on the field) 4 - Viney ( great heart and application) 3 - Gawn ( dominated the centre as required ) 2 - N.Jones ( typical heart on sleeve stuff) 1 - Watts ( continued his versatile role to perfection)
  16. N.Jones - 4 quarter constant Vince - a limited role Hogan - a concerted performance Watts - great first half Petracca - always looked dangerous Viney - bullocking work horse Gawn - dominated the centre Tyson - prolific but wasteful Stretch - gave some run Kent - excellent small forward Frost - improving each game T. McDonald - was virtually unpassable O.McDonald - promising before injury Hunt - second gear acceleration Grimes - an impressive return Kennedy - made little impression Garlett - was virtually unsighted vandenBerg - bullocking and creative Jetta - a strong rebounder White - looked at home Harmes - steady in defence M.Jones - career best game
  17. 6 - N.Jones ( may have turned it over occasionally but kept getting it) 5 - Watts ( terrific all day, and has arrived) 4 - Garlett ( returned to the form and ability we've learned to love) 3 - Hunt ( wow, wow, wow) 2 - T. McDonald ( strong and reliable for most of the game) 1 - Jetta ( a great job with the ball coming down so regularly)
  18. N.Jones - another outstanding game Vince - not as prolific Hogan - rarely provided target Watts - a valuable swingman Petracca - little to enthuse Dawes - regularly performed bloopers Viney - great tagging performance Gawn - probably broke even Tyson - take first options!!!! Stretch - couldn't hurt opponents Kent - frustrating as hell Frost - had little input T. McDonald - strong and brave O.McDonald - embarrassing to watch Hunt - exciting and willing Bugg - was almost irrelevant Kennedy - tried but failed Garlett - a welcome return vandenBerg - continued poor form Jetta - brave and creative Harmes - prolific but wasteful M.Jones - great first half
  19. Yes, I agree about Watts and I gave him votes.. I guess that makes me a GOOD judge and I accept your apology. Hogan's stats were superior to Franklin's, who was regarded as close to best on field.. go figure.
  20. Thanks for enlightening me.. I actually like him too, in fact he's my favourite current player. I'm not quite sure why so many are taking my 'basketball' reference about Watts so personally. In my opinion his efforts on Sunday were fair if it were a dry day, however on a rain drenched ground and with a waterlogged ball his game was totally inappropriate.
  21. 6 - Vince ( classy and prolific all game) 5 - Jones ( what a heart ) 4 - Hunt ( obviously listened to instructions about taking the game on) 3 - Viney ( far from his best game , but better than the rest ) 2 - Gawn 1 - Watts
  22. Jones - prolific not influential Vince - never stopped trying Hogan - was obviously restricted Watts - it's not basketball Petracca - a few cameos Dawes - had no impact Viney - tried but overwhelmed Trengove - had no spark Gawn - conditions nullified influence Tyson - was easily outmuscled Oliver - was rarely sighted Stretch - missing at sea Kent - probably went overboard Frost - rough but willing T.McDonald - a steady game O.McDonald - lacked footy smarts Hunt - brave and attacking Bugg - was rarely noticed Kennedy - had no impact vandenBerg- surprisingly quiet game Jetta - barely bothered scorers Wagner - tried but failed
