It was a fairly short segment but I will sum it up: All four of David King, Jason Dunstall, Gerad Healy and Jonathan Brown agreed that Hogan (and Tom Lynch) are 1 in 20 year players They said Lynch, despite being older, is ahead of Hogan at this stage and is a more complete player. Hogan needs to be able to kick 50m and obviously his goalkicking and run up. They said Ross Lyon should go to Hogan right now and offer him 15 million over 10 years. They said Melbourne will not need to offer as much to keep him, and he would be pretty silly to leave Melbourne the way we are going. They mentioned with all the potential A grade talent we have (Oliver, Viney, Petracca, Gawn, T.Mac, Weideman, Brayshaw, Tyson) we need to make sure we have the cash to retain all of those players, which will be key to whether we are able to push for a flag in the coming years. Add break now, after the break Browny will name is top 5 young players in the game

Didn't think it needed it's own thread, but they are currently talking about the Dees and Jesse Hogan On the Couch show. Recommend you flick it on right now if you have foxtel

Tommy will go to Stringer Garland will be undersized against Redpath. I know he was ok against Wright last night who is bigger than Red, but Redpath is one of those big, bulloking key forwards that loves to wrestle in the contest. Wrestling (besides brain fades, disposal and decision making) is one of Garlands weaknesses. Dunn may be brought in. Not to mention they may start Campbell forward with Roughead in the ruck

Dogs are off their legs after 7 in a row at etihad. Game next week is at the G which suits us and doesn't suit them This intense, high pressure game will be extremely draining for them

Attention Demonlanders : Just noticed we are favourites so everybody put bets on Gold Coast to win if the Dees have got any chance
-
any chance Daisy Pearce plays next week?
-
Tommy will have 15 kicked on him by Lynch this week if he/we play like today
-
Your crazy. Period. Trenners will not play this week. No chance. He is a few games back in the VFL after 2 years out ffs
-
Petracca - Give him time
-
For anyone who just saw that deliberate out of bounds against Luke McDonald, proves how ridiculous and technical the game is beginning to become
-
Gonna be exciting to see him out their for the 1st time but we cannot put to much pressure on the kid

I don't see why people want to drop Pederson/Frost. Both very good in the last to weeks. They are the common factor in all our 3 wins. If it aint broke...

Collingwood v Essendon ANZAC Day: Why we should care

Would love the bombers to get up today. Would be great for the competition -
FB -Jetta - Dunn - Bugg HB- Salem - T.McDonald - Lumumba C - Vince - Viney - Tyson HF- Watts - Frost - Kennedy FF - Garlett - Hogan - Kent FOLL - Gawn - Jones - Oliver INT - Hunt, Wagner, Petracca, Pederson
-
I really do not like playing Brayshaw in the forward line. He is a midfielder. Play him in the midfield. If no room then bring in Petracca. He would play that role much better IN - Petracca, Oliver OUT - Brayshaw, Harmes (very stiff)
-
Bugg - Plays with grunt

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 5, 2016

PETRACCA -
Would be happy for them to play Deledio. Trained with the main group today for the first time in nearly 2 months. He will get exposed by lack of match fitness and will struggle to run out a game at AFL level

AFL 360 asks if Melbourne can make the 8?
DemonLad5 replied to Ron Burgundy's topic in Melbourne Demons
There is no doubt we are capable of beating top 8 sides, like Adelaide, Dogs, Giants, Suns, Roos etc. But the competition is bloody good this year and top 8 looks a stretch. I'd love to be proven wrong. As previously said, coming games against Tiges, Suns, Saints, Lions and Dogs will tell alot -
This I very hard Firstly, I would take out Oliver. Great talent and will be a star but he looks tired and needs a rest. Expect him to dominate at VFL. Vince comes back in for him If Garlett is fit then he comes in. His replacement is bloody tough. I initially was thinking Frost/Pedo. But watching the replay they were both very good. I would have to take out Hunt. Kid is EXTREMELY stiff but you've got to improve the team when you can. He'll be back though

He was fantastic today. Seriously good
