NON MFC: Rd 23 2021
Different type of game for dogs, didn’t think they could win in a low scoring contest
-
TEAMS: Rd 23 vs Geelong
The argument to keep Melksham for his ball use into 50 only makes sense if he actually gets it. As it stands he got so little of the ball last week any difference in our efficiency as a team is just psychosomatic

Tommy Sparrow
Due to the fact port can pass them on percentage even with a win and not us

Angus Brayshaw
I think Brayshaw has adjusted well to his new role this year, it’s not all smooth sailing but I think given more time he will continue to improve in that role. Not every wing need to be run and gun like Langdon, my main knock against him is that he completely shanks a few kicks a game not unlike trac, if he can tidy that up I think a lot of the criticism will go away.

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
Playing smith is like having frost back, no confidence in the backline now
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
Backline needs to work out there structure better to many loose players, mids need to lift round the ball, crows getting to many touches, fwd line good work from limited chances

CHANGES: Rd 22 vs Adelaide
Don’t like to admit it because he is so frustrating but we are a better team with Melksham than without. Not sure where he fits if everyone is fit but think we have to play him now.

Any idea if the wind favours one end

NON MFC: Rd 21 2021
Funny to see everyone ripping out hairs over the last month thinking we will miss top 4 while everyone else will win every game possible to make that an eventuality. It was never going to happen every team drops a few it doesn’t mean we or anyone else is done and can’t win the flag, hope everyone thinks back to this next time

CHANGES: Rd 21 vs West Coast
The odds of us losing 2 of 3 is less likely than swans going 3 straight or port 2 from 3. Think of it this way to, if we do loose to wc cats have nothing to play for in round 23, they will have top 2 in the bag mean while we will be potentially playing for top 4. For anyone who is feeling a bit negative go and chuck a few hundred on swans to make top 4 you can currently get 3.20.

GAMEDAY: Rd 20 v Gold Coast Part 1
Any bet it gets moved to pre finals bye week now along with Essendon and swans

Round 20 game at Metricon
Cursed game 2nd time it’s now been moved, any bet it gets played in the finals bye week
-
What’s Behind Our Form Slump
Nice chart, some of those were not obvious to me, maybe some of that says how much some players were playing above there usual as well. Safe to say the our bye form was not sustainable. Now they need to learn how to win with this.

Dees vs Bulldogs This Week
Can’t see how it works, if we play dogs this week who do crows and gc play given they aren’t playing each other again this year. With so few games left I can’t see how it works unless you change the draw completely and have crows gc play

Dees vs Bulldogs This Week
Given we tend to respond most strongly the week following a bad game I’d rather play dogs this week to be honest. Last time we played it was following the Crows 1 point loss this time it’s the Hawks draw.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
Not sure why so many people want to write us off after that, if this year had shown anything we bounce back after a bad game and still haven’t lost to a top 8 side, so for all the people saying we can’t win when it matters our record says different. As disappointing as that was I’d still rather be in our shoes than any other side.

Damm keep him off get him right for finals

FIXTURE: Rd 19 vs Gold Coast & Rd 20 vs Bulldogs
Hope so, as even though it’s on there home deck it won’t impact the next weeks game as Darwin would with the heat and humidity and I preemptively booked a trip to coincide with the game months back.

Ladder Watch
Id be more worried if I was a dogs or cats to be honest both are round 50/50 vs other top 8 sides and already lost to us this year. Top position and a flag are both ours to loose, we have a healthy list and have not lost to any other contender, every other team would kill to be us right now. If we fail to do either we don’t have anyone else to blame but ourselves which is the most scary thing.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Port Adelaide
You aren’t the only one, hope they keep this setup even without kicking a goal I think the fwd line functions much better, if we are going to win the whole thing this year we will need him.

Still think we won’t make top 4? Would you rather we lost to 3 top teams like dogs or beat every contender like us.

12 and 2 after 14 games and 5 - 0 vs top 8. The mix in the maiming games is 4 vs top 8 and 3 of them away, if we play the remaining games equal to our season so far we should go end up 6-2 or 7-1 and clear top of the table. Given teams below us have won those games I see no reason to think we don’t beat port and wc away and dogs at g. Cats in Geelong would be the only game I don’t think we are a 50/50 or better chance in. If our team was called Richmond and had our record so far we would expect them not to drop and game and win the grand final in a canter.

CHANGES: Rd 16 vs GWS
Yea not sure how our leading goal kicker isn’t in our best fwd line. He is 2nd player selected after Tmac atm up fwd, as much as pressure and tackles can help it’s ultimately about kicking goals and over the year he is doing that better than anyone else

I just find it amusing we beat both dogs and lions in consecutive weeks only a month ago and yet after they both win on the weekend, albeit impressively the are now considered the teams to beat. Logic should dictate they are both playing for 2nd. But that is the media for you have the memory of a gold fish
