Box Hill Hawks v Casey Demons - VFL Round 1
A wonderful thread by quality posters. Every third post was about Keilty and how poor he was playing. Even though he's been incredible for weeks. I think I hate the guy and he's probably a good bloke. Seeing a bloke's name 35 times will do that. Every fourth post I learnt that Hore is horrible. Apparently Petty wasn't playing well before being injured and was Oscar reincarnate. I believe Bedford was ''unsighted''. Notwithstanding his 14 disposals and 9 tackles. I learnt a bit about the game plan being the same as the seniors. Tim Smith can kick as well as Chaplin can coach. Stretch played well. Chandler was good, but he's supposedly not quick enough. And a rebuild is on the cards. I'm sure I've missed a few things. Why people need to post the same observations over and over and over is extraordinary.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
It's certainly the wrong word. It's not possible for sporting teams to overachieve.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
Notwithstanding that some of you wait with baited breath for preseason reports from those (can't be named) that argue players did not have an interrupted preseason (incredible), Goodwin said this morning on SEN that ''every one of our midfielders spent most of the preseason in rehab''. It's not the only problem, but we're coming from a long way back across the entire ground.

I really wish Melbourne players would just shut up.

This post is ''ignore'' worthy. Well done.

Changes v Essendon
Did you miss me say, "'And others not in bold are also not in good form'' ?
-
Changes v Essendon
Right now, for whatever reason, the bolded aren't the equal of their equivalent players in other top 6 teams. It's pretty hard to win games of footy with 9 ordinary players. And others not in bold are also not in good form.

A little bit of mirth, friend...

King: Don't Panic About the Dees
I need to read a training thread so I can invest in some garbage.

King: Don't Panic About the Dees
I hasten to add that I'm not ''panicking'' and think we'll come good. However, my present feelings are like putting on an old comfy pair of slippers.

King: Don't Panic About the Dees
Part of me hopes we lose on Friday night. If we do I'll return to that familiar place of despair to wit I've become so accustomed. The MFC institutionalized me long ago and last year became almost uncomfortable as expectations rose. A loss on Friday night returns me to a comfort zone I've come to rely on. Like an old friend, I find a warmness in the familiarity of abject misery. Either way, I'm a winner this Friday.

GAMEDAY: Rd 02 vs Geelong
I was about to post the same. Geelong (and most of the competition) are rubbish. The last few years the competition has been the poorest in living (my) memory. Geelong may well win tonight, but it won't change the fact they're just another ordinary team.

GAMEDAY: Rd 02 vs Geelong
I'll keep it simple. If our structures are smart and performed well, and our best 8 players play well we'll win. The match will be decided by the performances of Gawn, Oliver, Brayshaw, Viney, Tom McDonald, May, Jetta, and Harmes ability to negate Kelly or Dangerfield. I think our best is better, so hopefully the best version of ourselves turns up.

Who will the Demons target next?
Slow and vanilla. No thanks.

Sam Weideman + contract
I initially thought the same, so I thought I'd check the contract status of the Vic clubs. Check the link below. It can't be anyone else. https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/out_of_contract_players That said, it doesn't worry me. There are often ambit claims in the beginning.

Cornes: Stop Whinging Dees
Couldn't agree with Cornes more. Shut your pie-hole Melbourne and let your actions do the talking.

Training - Wednesday, 27th March 2019
Oliver needs to shave his entire head and start again.

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
Roughly our best 10-11 players are Gawn, Oliver, Brayshaw, Viney, May, Lever, Tom McDonald, Jetta, Salem, Harmes, and Melksham. Hibberd's fallen away a bit. A couple didn't play and of the rest only Salem and to and Melksham could hold their head high. It's hard to win games of footy when your best players don't show up. They matched us in the contest and were far better on the outside. In fact, they often outnumbered us around the contest, which is usually our one wood. Obviously, a lot of players are underdone. It's not cut your wrist time, but there looks like there might be some challenges early on.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MARTY HORE
Does it ever occur to you that you overthink things ? The guy isn't playing midfield where you need to be an aerobic beast. He needs to get stronger in the position he plays so he can stand his ground in contests, body up, and make tackles stick. He's never going to become so muscle bound that he can't cover the ground.

Casey v Box Hill - Practice Game on Sunday
So far today I've seen Preuss (tick), Pruess, Pruce, and Preuse.

Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
The sooner Bedford or Chandler show that they're ready for a call up the better. We need the pressure and zip provided by those types of players. If they're good enough, of course.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MARTY HORE
Hore needs more strength and kgs. There's ability, but physically he's not ready.

Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
If true it's not good. But nothing has been confirmed by the club, so at this stage it's just hearsay.
