  1. Because there are stats and there are stats. I'm interested in how many marks a young key forward is taking, who is kicking the goals, and how a player like Trengove is going. That said, I'll fess up a little. I'd be far more impressed if Trengove got 47, because I know how he uses it. So to contradict myself I am probably making a veiled criticism of JKH even if I was at pains to suggest I wasn't.
  2. Without passing judgment on Kennedy-Harris either way, I take zero notice of a 47 disposal game in the VFL.
  3. Only 60K last year. Needs to be at least 65K tomorrow week.
  4. We've won one more quarter than Richmond having played one less game. How many teams would be fourth on the quarters won ladder without their two most important players ? To check the significance of this stat go back through previous years of the QW ladder and you'll know what I mean. I really don't think we're getting enough credit for our year to date given we've been playing with no ruckman or key forward. You can't tell me we wouldn't at least 7 wins (and top 4) if we hadn't been cruelled by injuries to our two most important players. QB is vital for our finals chances.
  5. You tell us.
  6. Which is why I'd play him in defence.
  7. No stats on the game ?
  8. You have a better memory than me. I don't know the nuances of most posters. You're suggesting this poster may be economical with the truth and making a calculated guess as they smell the breeze; and you're doing so on the back of previous "form".
  9. Agreed. Gawn and Hogan are our two most important players structurally. How would Richmond have faired missing Riewoldt and Rance for the bulk of their season ?
  10. Richmond are no better than Melbourne. We beat them round 6 if we don't lose our ruck and another player before half time. How would Richmond have gone without a number one ruck and Jack Riewoldt for 75% of the season ? How do they go with Elton rucking and no key forward ? And what, they were one win ahead of us at round 10 with a worse percentage ? They've won less quarters than us for the year. I don't get the fawning over them.
  11. Islamists love moronic left-wing appeasers. They'd smile and thank you just before slitting your throat. As for the moderates ? How moderate are they? It's hard to know. Most don't condemn violence to the kafir because most are well aware the definition of Islam is to dominate. Unbelievers must submit to Islam. Over 80% of middle eastern Muslims believe in death to apostates. Over 80% believe in stoning for adulterers. A young girl was recently put to death for being raped. Islam is the most vile and insidious political doctrine in the world. Why any western civilisation would knowingly import more people from these backwater shitholes beggars belief. Most Muslims don't enrich the country they go to. They don't want to befriend you. They don't want to break bread and drink wine with you. And the odd ones that do are clearly not practising Muslims. Child brides, stonings, veiling, death or imprisonment to gays, female genital mutilation, honour killings, etc. What a culturally enriched doctrine. Some drink camel [censored]. And did you know you can shag a goat as long as you kill it afterwards ? Presumably so you don't have the shame of ever having to look them in the eye again. 1400 years of breeding with your 13 year old first cousin will do that.
  12. Richmond are just another rubbish side. There are no standouts. Equalisation has worked. This is why any team who makes the finals has a chance (because of the pre-finals bye).
  13. Haynes goes under the radar. He's a big GWS out. That said, the hype on GWS is overstated. If anything they're overrated. There's no standout team in the competition. Even the notional top 4 are ordinary compared to previous years when there was a clear divide.
  14. The climate has always changed and always will. And guess what ? Australia can't change it.
  15. Yeah, but how many missing from their best team ? Deledio is shot and hasn't played a game for them. Coniglio, Griffen, who's very average these days, Haynes, Stevie J, who's on his last legs, and Lobb. They may have a lot of injuries, but their guns are well and truly playing.
  16. Yep, the Sunday ritual. A roast for lunch and watching WOS.
  17. There are other views: https://climatism.wordpress.com/tag/coral-bleaching/ http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/03/20/delingpole-great-barrier-reef-still-not-dying-whatever-washington-post-says/ All you will do is try to discredit disbelievers, such as those who contribute to the alternative views linked above. The only certainty is that you are an alarmist who will go to your grave believing the world is warming at an alarming rate and you'll dismiss anything to the contrary. The joke is on you. The planet is fine and it's not warming at an alarming rate. Climate has always changed and always will. Some warming might be good. And the GBR will be fine in 5 years, 10 and 20. Be sure to bump this post. Stop bowing down to this new God you worship.
  18. He probably won't line up down back, but I posted this re Weideman last Tuesday in the Steven May thread, "Also, Weideman is also struggling, but he's a smart footballer with good hands. I'd give him a crack in defence at Casey and see how he goes. It only has to be for this season, but he may prove his worth as a defender and be a viable option at AFL level later in the year."
  19. Lever is a few classes above the McDonalds. Unfortunately, he'll probably stay with Adelaide.
  20. Selwood is the most courageous player I've seen on a footy field. Brown, Riewoldt, Archer, etc., we've had some incredible players with courage, but Selwood takes the hardness stakes to a new level. I know he's not liked. Stiff **** He's amazing.
  21. It was Matt Crouch, not Lever. As usual the buffoon, Brian Taylor, got it wrong in his commentary. EDIT: Lever was there in the tackle, but it was Crouch that coat-hangered him.
  22. Ryder's quality tapwork just highlights what we've been missing. Cannot be underestimated.
  23. Anyone think Clarkson will walk back to his hotel room tonight
  24. I don't know enough about depression, but I'm not sure you should draw such a conclusion. As for Jack ? I'm more interested in the team and jumper than individual players UNLESS they're special players. I can take or leave Watts. I'm certainly not emotionally invested in him. But naturally I support anyone wearing red and blue.
