  1. If you have no source why would you even bother posting this ? He either does or he doesn't. If he does, he won't play, if he doesn't he will.
  2. The Carlton game is 10 days away, so if there's no tear or strain he (Watts) may well be right to go against Carlton even though he won't be risked tomorrow. If they ruled him out against Sydney early on there was no point completing a full training session. What would the point have been ? Garlett may be right to go next week, but Jones has supposedly a minimum four week injury and the type of injury that can easily reoccur. He won't play against Carlton. Viney would no doubt have soreness, but he pulled up so well they didn't even bother sending him for scans. I'm not concerned about how he'll perform.
  3. I doubt anyone disagrees with you, but players need to be versatile and forward pressure has never been more important. So, in the absence of your best pressure forward these types of moves come into play.
  4. Clearly if Hogan isn't playing Oscar won't be dropped, because Tom will be forward. The Carlton game may be a different story with Hogan looking a likely inclusion and Carlton having a lack of key forwards.
  5. 10,000 ordinary Brits rallying against Islam. They're sick of no go zones, Asian rape gangs, and Islamic strongholds taking over their towns. They're sick of Sharia Courts and a complete lack of integration. They're sick of the welfare these leaches rort from the public. They're sick of a benighted culture with appalling "values" that are completely incompatible with any civilised society, let alone the West. They're sick of a twisted political ideology where the protagonists are out-breeding them. But what would they know ? Our leftist dopes see no problem at all. Uneducated fools like Choke, say "nothing to see here". And I'm being kind saying uneducated. Ultimately, it's not worth arguing with leftists. If they had common sense they wouldn't be leftists in the first place.
  6. When you read this type of contribution you quickly realise how inadequate some people are in a particular discussion. You realise they've never taken the time to familiarise themself with the issue at hand. They are so ignorant on the topic it's little wonder their political persuasions take over and they simply take a side. Personally, I'd be embarrassed to exchange views on such an important topic when I was so clueless as to the actual issues. We're importing people from middle eastern countries where their citizens overwhelmingly support stonings, FGM, death to apostates, honour killings and a creed that states they should be governed by Islamic Law (sharia), which treats women as chattels. A political and religious ideology that states they should eventually turn their host country into Islam. Yet you think "the anti vaccine brigade is more dangerous" ? And that they just have "different values" ? FMD I'll set you a challenge. Fix the sound on your computer, study islam, i.e. the Qur'an and hadiths, and listen/read views that annunciate why Islam is a danger to the West. Not views from crackpots, but considered researchers and those renowned as having credibility. Learn about Mosques and what happens within them. Learn about Israel and why the middle east wants it extinct. Learn how toddlers in Palestine are brainwashed into wanting to kill Jews from the moment they can speak. I'll give you a month. And if you come back with the same view having studied assiduously (and can prove it - I'll know by our conversation) I'll be shocked. Notwithstanding I'm on ignore and you can't see this Oh, and for the record, I've been banging on about Islam and its danger for years. On a scale of 1-100 Hitchens' views rate about a 1 on my influence scale.
  7. It's not a bad idea at all.
  8. With Watts now a confirmed out this is what I call "good mail".
  9. I read that the tribunal said it was "rare" to come across someone with Houli's "character". What a load of garbage.
  10. I haven't read this thread nor contributed to it (and I won't further because it's boring), but clearly the MFC medical evidence has been dismissed, Oliver has been confined to a liar, and even though there was obviously contact to the jaw it's now fair play if the force is deemed low. A farce all round.
  11. I was probably confusing the way I worded the question. Forget about his weekend performance, where would you rank him in the 22 in a more general sense ? 1, 5, 15, 22 ?
  12. Between 1-22 where do you rate him from the weekend's team ?
  13. He plays the odd OK game, but I don't rate him. He's not the worst player I've seen in a Melbourne jumper. I'll save those accolades for Tom Gillies types. I know his attributes, They're not enough for me. But we can win with him in the team, so yeah, he's not the worst.
  14. You missed Hannan's speed. It's vital. Especially against a slow Sydney. X-factor, overhead marking, speed, versatility and he hits the scoreboard. He's kicked 17 goals and is on track for 30. He's not close to being dropped.
  15. Look, it's not hard. I. Don't. Rate. Bugg. He's OK, but not much more. And clearly, I mean clearly, if they don't think Kent has been applying as much pressure at Casey that they want then they won't bring him in. I'm not privy to whether he has, or hasn't. Are you ? Having said that, they may want continuity, which is something the Dogs haven't had, so for this reason Bugg may stay in. If he does, bully for him.
  16. Nah, two only. Gawn can push back on occasions. Three tall backs is not how we've been playing and doesn't suit our game style.
  17. I'm going to assume all of Watts, Hogan, and Garlett play, which is just as likely to be wrong. In: Hogan, Watts, Wagner Who are our bottom 6-8 or most interchangeable ? Not in order: Bugg, Harmes, Neal-Bullen, Oscar, Stretch, Melksham, Hannan, Pedersen Frost will play on Franklin. He has the pace, strength and athleticism to be our best matchup. Franklin is 199 to Frost 194, but overhead marking is Franklin's strength, so the little bit of extra height means little. Tom McDonald can give a chop out. i still worry about our kicking out of defence hence the Wagner selection. Wagner is generally excellent by foot. Out: Salem, Oscar, Bugg Bugg has his fans, who have a propensity to froth at the mouth, but he's on the cusp and did very little against West Coast. He's a fringe player and makes way for more talented players. Tom goes back to defence, so oscar makes way. I cannot and will not have a defence that includes the two McDonalds and Frost. And against Sydney there isn't the matchups. Oscar has done well, although not so much against West Coast, but for team stability makes way. This leaves Hogan and Pedersen as the two forward key talls, Watts playing his roaming linkman role, and Petracca, Hannan, Garlett, Harmes and Neal-Bullen changing through a forward flank. If Hogan is back one key tall must make way. If Hogan doesn't come back and Garlett doesn't get up then I suspect the changes will be: In: Watts, Wagner, Kent Out: Salem, Garlett, Bugg kennedy-Harris is now playing midfield, so he doesn't replace Garlett, but I think someone needs to take that small forward/pressure role. Pressure isn't Kent's forte, which is why he's at Casey, but hopefully MC thinks he's improved in that area to get the call up. Imo, he's more likely to hit the scoreboard in a physical game than someone like Kennedy-Harris, who is less needed in the midfield. Alternatively, if Bugg holds his spot there's just the two changes.
  18. Thank the left-wing loonie enablers. I can only assume they don't have children, which must be why they don't care. Why you'd knowingly and willingly import en masse a benighted culture where values are polar opposite beggars belief.
  19. As Weber so eloquently explained on another thread, if Garlett's hammy is back related and there's no strain or tear than he may play depending on his recovery/tightness. For Gawn to say he should be OK is good news, because it means he's tight due it being a back related ailment, which at least gives him a chance.
  20. Yes, mate. There was a reason you did it to start with.
  21. Thanks for sharing. I get a sea of yellow too and my Demonland experience is all the better for it. I recommend you stick to your guns and don't open in future.
  22. A short clip of the brilliant self-described Marxist and socialist Christopher Hitchens and his encouragement to resist Islam even though you'll be called "Islamophobic". He had a brilliant intellect and was very much a man of the left. He died in 2011, so I'm guessing this was from roughly a decade ago, but his message is more poignant now than ever.
  23. We have our outs, but prior to the season if you'd said we'd be playing West Coast with no Naitanui (and his main backup in Lycett), Kennedy, LeCras (injury and form), Masten (form), and Wellingham (form) I'd have been pretty pleased. Shuey, Priddis, Mitchell, Gaff, Sheed, Yeo, Hill, Jetta v Viney, Oliver, Tyson, Lewis, Petracca, Salem, Stretch, Vince, Hannan, ANB, Harmes. We have better depth and pace running through the midfield, but need to be spot on with pressure. I'll make one observation re Gaff. He is slow and an outside seagull of the highest order. I have him in my Dreamteam and gee he opts for the easy outside ball. And he's so slow. Priddis, Mitchell, Gaff, Sheed are all very slow. It's annoying not having Watts and Jones, but I firmly believe we can win this if we bring our pressure game.
  24. I think it just highlights the structural imbalance we would have had. And still will in coming weeks.
