  1. Why? We've been doing it all year and it's worked OK. Port don't have a single player over 199cm.
  2. Really? We smashed them in that deal, as long as we finish higher than 13th.
  3. FMD. There's optimistic and then there's delusional.
  4. Thanks for passing on Iva. As with everything that gets posted about Jesse's intentions you take it with varying degrees of salt, but it does amuse me how quickly people are to take anything that hints at him staying as gospel, but dismiss anything suggesting the opposite out of hand.
  5. Appears to be grown men discussing what I'm assuming are either cartoon characters or superheroes.
  6. Extraordinary post. You do realise that if we wanted him we could have taken him as a ROOKIE in the off-season with us having picks before North?
  7. Petracca reminds me enormously of Mark Ricciuto. Both thick-set, both explosive, both with the capacity to do to the extraordinary. Now to match or better Ricciuto's eight All-Australian jumpers!
  8. A forward line of: HF: Watts Hogan Petracca F: Garlett Weideman Kent Looks ridiculously good considering their average age is 21.
  9. Like your team P-man but I love Hunt's dash and feel he gives us a real point of difference to anyone else in the side, and probably entire list. Not sure if his defensive side is quite up to it yet so I'd like to see him on a wing. B: Jetta Frost Bugg HB: Vince McDonald Trengove C: Hunt Oliver Stretch HF: Petracca Dawes Watts F: Garlett Hogan Kent R: Gawn Jones Viney INT: Tyson Brayshaw Salem Harmes EMERG: Garland Kennedy VDB
  10. Brayshaw and Petracca both signed extensions last year, their first year. It's pretty standard practice nowadays.
  11. Dunn?! He'll be lucky to be offered another one. Game has just about passed him by now unfortunately.
  12. Agree with that first paragraph Wise. Wish I could share the unequivocalness of your belief in your second, but do think and hope he's likely to.
  13. Course you can. From all his sources the information he's got is that Jesse will stay, but he's covering himself with the 2% being if something unforeseen happens - Dees lose every game for the rest of the season, Jesse finds himself a girl from Perth etc.
  14. Nobodys forgetting that Jacko, but you'd think something will happen this year. Either he signs a new deal in the off-season or tells the club he wants to go home. If he wants to go home it's in our best interests to trade him at the end of this season, when freo will be able to start their offer with a top 5 pick than next when they'll probably have moved up the ladder.
  15. Just listening to the Herald Sun trade podcast with Jay Clark, Sam Landsberger and Gilbert Gardiner. Clark, who has written a number of Hogan articles this week, and who I actually think is one of the more reliable HS journos says he thinks from his information now that he is "98% sure" that Hogan signs a new deal with Melbourne. Obviously not saying it's gospel, just that it's a different narrative than when every single media outlet reported that Scully was a goner from months out. Worth a listen from the 5.25 mark...
  16. As nutbean said on the previous page, he's played against us twice. Once for 9 disposals, once for 14. Where has this bizarre theory come from?
  17. I like you as a poster Peter but that's incredibly naive if you think that it wasn't the club's preference to have Hogan tied down by now.
  18. Never been picked to play more than 13 games in a season. Career average disposals 14. He's a trier but a limited player, hence why more often than not he plays for their VFL side.
