I can't be bothered checking but I can say with 99% certainty that Jack Darling did NOT kick 53 goals in his first year of footy. From memory I don't reckon he kicked half that.

If you think coaches aren't disingenuous when answering questions from the media then you've got no idea. What Goodwin says in public means nothing. It's what's being said in private that matters.

Although in his other comment on the photo he does say #freondemons #comegethim Would love to see him at MFC. Is there anything as heart warming for supporters to see than a father/son making it at the club? Hope they never get rid of the rule.

Big fan of your work Adam but thought at the time this was an extraordinary post. Surely anyone who's seen even a little bit of Bontempelli can tell after limited viewing that he's a bona fide freak. Players of his type who are just as effective up forward as going through the midfield are like gold dust. If I could have any player in the league at the dees it'd be him.

Revise history? What in my post was incorrect? Neither were perfect. Both were 200+ gamers. Both were BnF winners. Yze was All-Australian. Both were terrific servants of the club. Annoys me that people taint the team of the late 90's early 2000's as being soft and no good. We had some terrific footballers who despite coping with clearly the worst facilities in the AFL made it to a couple of prelims and a grand final. As I said before, we would kill for those kind of on-field achievements at the moment. You'd think that the last decade of complete and utter humiliation would have made us appreciate the team of that era even more. Instead it seems to have done the opposite and many here seem to denigrate them at any chance they can get. It's bizarre.

If it's true Jesse's old man is on his last legs then it's great Harmes, Frost and ANB have gone over to support him in Perth as shown on Harmes instagram photo of them all surfing.

Another silly post. Those two, while far from perfect, were best & fairest winners, 200 gamers, terrific servants of the club and played big parts in getting us deep into September a number of times. Something we'd absolutely kill for at the moment. What I'd give for an Yze in our current side.

Silly post mate. Just cos they were players in an era where we underperformed (even though they played in a lot of finals and a grand final) doesn't mean they should be shunned from the club. If they're the best person for the job then bring them back - the love for, and knowledge they already have of the club is a bonus.
