Collingwoods midfield is very much at it's peak. Sidebottom, Pendles, Wells, Varcoe, Beams are more likely to decline than get better at this stage of their careers. Wouldn't be surprised if some of those players really didn't have the impact they should in 2019.

This could have been so much worse. Poor bloke needs some serious support to overcome whatever caused him to do what he did. I really hope he finds his way back to good mental health soon.

1. Vandenberg: He came into the club as a big body when we really needed to be more competitive. Now that we are more competitive, he us a real ace up our sleeve. Provides us with an enforcer type with good decision making and solid all round skills. 2. Fritta: He didn't really suprise anyone on here given we knew his game after an impressive year at Casey the year before. That being said, his first AFL season was terrific. He is a ripper, and has the highest ceiling of the players listed. He is a beautiful kick and is a great mark. He makes good decisions and already displays a good defensive side of his game.

I hope we bend Freo over for any Victorians in the upcoming years. Especially if it means uniting the Brayshaw brothers. Hated them since the Jeff White and Jeff Farmer sagas. There is some historic hatred there.

Some interesting delisted players out there. I don't mind the idea of having Weller on a one year deal as depth. Hugh Goddard interests me. Doesn't really fill a direct need but was had a hard run with injuries. A one year deal to see if he can get his body right would be worth it. He is an endurance player that could still develop.

I think there would be a bit of skank in those ankles somewhere. Anyone who whores out for the dollars is a skank in my book!

He would need Scully ankles to fall that far in the draft!!

I get the feeling Taylor has someone very specific in mind. If you look at the points value we drop by making this deal for pick 28. I'm very interested to see who gets selected with this pick.

Didn't Fritta kick 30 or 40 goals in the VFL for Casey in 2017? Could be an option.

Honestly Hogan was going to command big dollars next year. We would have probably ended up with less next year if he left then. They sold for as much as they could get for him.

If taking his one year deal gets the Hogan deal done for 2 first rounders I'm in. Peter Bell isn't a fan and wants him gone, if Bennell is the steak knives to get the Hogan deal done then I'm willing to see if he can turn it around at the Demons next season. Personally, I hope he finds a home and makes it back. He is a super talented player, and players like him firing make the game better to watch.

Good luck to him in the Saints midfield. Personally I would have stayed at the dees and played finals.....

Liked his vfl form this year. Not sure how out list looks until after trade week. Certainly at least a rookie list option. Could be a late pick for senior list depending on how many list spots and picks we have left after potential trades.

Would rather let him walk for nothing then get screwed by St Kilda. I wouldn't be surprised to see a side like the Gold Coast spend a pick in the 50s in the draft for him if he were forced into the draft.

Lost his spot to the kid from home alone. Will need to change his game if he wants to break back into the side. Still a quality footballer.

Premiership window is open now. No room for players who won't help us hoist that cup. If he can find more opportunities elsewhere and the compensation is suitable I see no reason to hold onto him. I wish him well if he moves.

Quite a large number wed to the idea of of waiting until free agency and getting him for nothing next year, or that he is only worth pick 5 if they get a second round pick back, or just worth a first rounder straight up. Agree, the compensation for free agents prevents is from access to the top 10 in this draft. Have to play hard ball with Freo. Even if it drags out other deals and we miss a deal for a May we must stand firm.

Dees need to play hardball with Freo. Hearing Luke Darcy's comments about Freo flipping their pick 4 compo from Brisbane for Neale to Port for picks 9&10, and then sending 9&10 to us for Hogan feels a bit light. I think we stay firm and state that pick 4 has to be one of the picks we receive for Hogan. Especially when Freo still have pick 5 this draft and a future first rounder in the cupboard.

I actually don't mind Koladjaksfndhdhdbsnij as a player. He looked good early on, bit has really disappeared with concussion issues. I'd be keen to give him a go. Would be happy with a 3rd round, but would give a second rounder for him if he changed his surname to Smith (just so we didn't have to spell his name on the forum)

I don't want May, especially if it means giving up a top 10 pick we get for losing Hogan. May will be 27 at the start of next season, and will cost a huge chunk of salary cap. Lever, Frost and Omac developing down back. Not to mention Keilty, Petty and Baker all drafted for back half.

We paid pick 66 for Balic last year who could only muster 4 games for a garbage Freo outfit. Kent is probably best 22 in 2018's 4th best side. Pick in the 40s or jam it.
