The other concern is having Jake Melksham returning from an ACL being relied upon to be a key forward component again highlights a problem which has been ongoing since Luke Jackson left (note Joel Smith being N/A has also hamstrung the situation).

Hard to see Fullarton getting a game this season, seemed the ideal opportunity to give him a go.

Seems pretty clear to me the 4 umpire system is not working and it should gi back to 3 or even 2. I watch a lot of SANFL and recruiting quality umpires to cover all the games is a challenge. Would hate to be one.

Goodwin will need to find the cojones to drop/rest Petty for Jeffo to be given his chance.
