Good to see him finally have breakout game. While he is developing in the hardest position on the field if he can string a strong 4-5 games together and debut could come later this year. Weed only played about 10 games or so before debuting in a final and with Petty out of form anything is possible.

Need a massive improvement from last week and some of our "2nd tier" players to step up. We should control the midfield but conversion will be the worry.

They took there chances and a functioning forward line, hence on the night they were the better team. The overall statistics are no different to last year's final so either Carlton know how to play us or we are not learning.

While the free against JVR was bizarre there were also decisions that went against Carlton. The constant need to blame umpires when we lose a close game is just bizarre. We did not deserve to win that game and in the end the better team won. If not for Petracca we would have lost by 5 goals.

Worst 1st quarter I have seen since the Neeld era, just dont get it. Should have beaten these clowns.
