Dennis calls his last game of footy this weekend. Like some of the great cricket commentators he had that special way with words that made his commentary a delight. That’s partly because the culture and times from which Cometti sprang – the Fleetwood Mac double shots, vaudeville wisecracks and unapologetic schmaltz of 1960s FM radio – no longer exists.
